I've been humming this song throughout! Great choice, really! 😊

To your note first: Do not rush this story at all. I'm sure, like me, every reader wants this story to continue for longer than even the twenty that you've planned.

The poem at the start and the stanza at the end was just awesome! I absolutely loved it! And thanks to her shayri, Naureen came into Maan's life. 😃

Maan's wish of being Dev - I don't know why but - touched me. It made me fall for him even more than I already have. I think it was the innocence of that wish that captured me. 😳

You probably don't know but apart from HR, it's SRK that I absolutely love! ❤️ To witness Maan's jealousy towards the harmless actor was hilarious to me. Especially when he innocently accepts that he can't like him because she does, and when he changes the course of his thoughts. 'I'm more into action films.' 😆

Professor Shetty is my favourite now too. And I don't like Ms. Iyer. 😆

Their walk was so... romantic - in a way.
One thing I really want to point out is the way their clothes symbolise them. She wearing white and standing out against the darkness is similar to the way she stands out for him amongst a sea of other people. Him wearing black and blending in with the surroundings, just like he feels he is just another person for her, a nobody in a sea of everybody.. I loved this symbolisation!

I think I'll thank Dev for his habit of background music. 😳

Geet's softness of nature is so evident from the way she wordlessly tries to cover him with her umbrella. Adorable!

Maan thinking negative about her agreeing to walk with him is natural, I think. Especially when she quickly pulls her dupatta back. For him, it somewhat indicated her not really liking the closeness. I'll take it this way. She's shy.

The aankhon ki gustakhiyaan at the end were like cherry on top! Not their lips, but their eyes talk, and convey their inner feelings to the other. At the end of it all, I'm glad to have a happy, puddle-kicking Maan walking to his car! 😳

Loved the chapter without so much as an ounce of a doubt! Thanks for updating! 🤗

PS: Have I ever told you I love that picture of Maan you put in there? Especially when he's dressed in black. 😳

Ok coming back, start wid a beautiful poetry 👏 Its a pleasant surprise coZ I had forgotten this 😳 One of my favs 😳 I myself read it thrice 😳 Each word was having an essence of pure n shy love 😳 n it fitted their story perfectly, the choice was urs, so, gr8 choice 👍🏼

Maan, our feelings r mutual 😆 So sweet of him to search the guy on YT just to have a look of what she likes in him, n then seeing Shahrukh, his reaction of jealousy was so common in these kinda feelings.. Him justifying his own thoughts of hatred towards the actor were cute 😆 His jealousy wud have been the same if it was anybody else than SRK 😆 I lyk Prof Shetty 😉 Matlab he cares for his student's safety, that's good 😉
Walk in rain was so loveable, Pure ❤️ Love the concept there ! Him in black, one in many.. Her in white, a brightest star who illuminates his otherwise work-burdened, devoid-of-joy lyf 😊 Was so innocent of Maan to think that Y he cant b lyk Dev ! the carefree guy !
Choice of song 👏 The lyrics of the song r there in my collection, I've loved the beautiful poetry since I dunno when, but never have I heard the song, the credit goes to yew , Thanx behna 😊
I hate Ms. Iyer 😡 in fact I dislike these kind of women, who just point their finger on Girl's character widout knowing anything 😡 But nevertheless, Maan had her, chup, bilkul chup 😉 😆

I love, love love this picture. Just beautiful. The lighting is just perfect.

And this was the image that was in my head as I was reading the update.😳

I love everything about rains. The dark clouds, the wet roads, garam gaam chai and hot pakoras, or just sitting inside listening to the sound of the rain as it lashes everything outside with my favorite book, or curled up next to my favorite person and last but not the least, Spiderman's hot upside down kiss in the rain.😉

These are a few of my favorite things.

What is it about rain and romance I wonder?They are synonymous to each other.

And as I was reading, about Maan and Geet's, A walk to remember in the rain, for a few moments I was lost in their imaginary world aided in my flight of fancy by the beautiful gazal of Jagjit Singh

A perfect song for this shy couple.😳

The whole update was surreal for me and yet I was caught up in Maan and Geet because of your detailed explanation of every nuance of emotion they were experiencing.😳

From the awkward umbrella holding, to the stolen glances, to the veil everything was just perfect.

Now as for Maan being jealous of SRK. I had a good laugh at that one. Just last week I had an argument over the hotness of Gerald Butler with my husband, to which he completely disagreed calling him a grizzly bear and we finally settled the argument by agreeing to disagree.😆

As for SRk, I am an SRK fan since I watched him first in Fauji. My sister and I used to drool over him and my father thought he looked like a monkey😆

P.S Lucky girl Naureen.😉

Ok off to read the next one, though I missed Dev and Tara.😃

First Rains: To start with the shayari was like … so beautiful. 👏 It in the start itself transported me to a world of happiness, romance, love…. Each line, word in the shayari held so much of emotions & depth & very aptly & perfectly mirrored Maan's sentiments, helplessness & longing her. How he is each time captivated by her eyes, her whole persona. 😳

Her smile, shyness, and coy behaviour… the way her eyes promise Maan of all the mischievousness he wants to see in her…. Leading him to dream of things he would like to happen in future for them both as a couple. Naureen 👏 I really must appreciate & thank you for writing such beautiful lines. I was so captured by the lines that for some time I just didn't want to do anything other than feeling the emotions described in the words used. Indeed unique way of expressing love that shayari brings is unmatched. I honestly agree to this statement. 😊

He wanting to be like Dev to express his emotions through word to please his lady love showed how helpless he feels… & made me fall for him all the more. I somehow wanted to tell him that you don't need to ape him but you have your own charm & ways to do things….. Your eyes do all the talking & the intensity & passion they hold within can melt Geet to be putty in your hands. 😳 Sometimes I too feel like Maan when I can't use any poems or cheery words or creative forms to express it all…. But then I guess it all can't be possible each one has their own way of expressing. He wants to listen to her, know her more closely without her being conscious or so aware of his presence where she becomes all mute & shy…. So just takes up an opportunity to observe her in shadows. There's so much softness in him just for her.

His jealousy for SRK… So cute 😆(I don't like SRK so much but then Maan's these emotions were all thanks to him) What I loved the most is his acceptance of him being jealous shows his simplicity & innocence of heart not tainted, just his mother's boy. His stating he likes action movies justifying his dislike was so boyish.

His joy on being able to spend some time with her on the pretext of walking her to the hostel shows how he craves for simple joys as his life has dished out to him so many adversities at such young age with him to shoulder responsibilities with absence of his strong support dad and his emotional pillar mom who could read him inside out. Avi, I'm day by day becoming a bigger fan of your writing… there's something so capturing in the words you use… the whole presentation & feel changes taking me in a world full of hope, love & dreams.😳 Moonless night with him in black mingling with the shadows & she for him being the source of light in white… shows his pure love for her, where he extols her on a greater pedestal as she redeems him of his despair & loneliness. In the moonless night she is the moon for him in her simple adornments of shy smile, expressive eyes, hesitant steps, & care for him. Hayee … ❤️ I've fallen quite hard for this boyish innocence in a Man who has matured well before time for his family but yet has retained his teenage desires & charm for his lady love only. 😳

Loved how Prof. Shetty played a role in helping them spend some time, & then the rain with him being without an umbrella, as if nature is conspiring for them to be together… Also her concern & care for him through her gestures & unsaid words, him understanding it (todha tube light hai but chalega..😉), him also trying to cover her the most against the rain… so sweet & adorable!

The music & the lyrics… I'm so mesmerised by it…👏😳. Don't have words. Very apt to his state of longing, desires, fears of rejection & her not reciprocating the same feelings, insecurity, seeking approval… and also how her each glimpse is like heaven for him… ❤️

Also I liked how he describes her through his mind's eye... a chavi he has imprinted within his soul.. There's no lust but pure emotions of love, trust & want for companionship. He describes her feature with softness relating it to softness of nature. Even fragrance of first rain just becomes a means of symbolisation with her & gives him a message of many promises of moments to spend with her similar to what rain promises to earth quenching all thirst & bareness... So also Geet's presence in his life promises him of filling all gaps of loneliness.

Teri ummed pe thukra raha hoon, duniya ko…. Tujhe bhi apne pe ye aetbaar hai ke nahi…. ❤️❤️

Beautiful lines…😳 this has just stuck with me now… I can't seem to get over its depth. So selfless & submissive…. He can't help feeling negative as she doesn't give words to her feelings… the restlessness caused by her pulling away of the dupata caused so much of flutter in him… But yet he just remains asking for trust … how deep & loved. I dream about having such companion… you have made me weave such dreams through your writing Avi. 😳

Also Maan becoming MSK in front of Ms. Iyer just for his Geet was so sweet. Somewhere I feel there's another love story here… Ms. Iyer & Prof. Shetty…❤️ I'm reminded of Shola aur shabnam movie… 😉😆

Avi I loved this whole sign in the first rain...👏 as she understood she is concerned for him, is equally aware of his presence & is affected by him, also is longing for his love as she keeps staring at his image that's going far from her. I loved how he went happily as a teenager al the stress of the day at work vanished by her presence & getting of the sign.

The shayari at the end… was a cherry on the cake…

Uttar chuke hai meri zindagi me kisi ki nigaah, Tarap rahi hai meri rooh kisi ka hone ke liye… ❤️❤️

Everything that transpired put together brilliantly in these few words… 😊
