Geet sat with Meera in her room. She had spent last one hour explaining to her that how she slipped from the stair case and her side face had hit a corner of last stair giving her the mark which was fading now.
"Lekin Di"

"Uffo Meera…sach mein na…tu kitna bolti hai. Hey Babaji…thodi shanti do aap is ladki ko. Kuch nahi ho sakta iska…kaha na baba…chot hai…aur ab toh theek bhi ho rahai hai. Acha ab bata do you like the pickle. Pata hai I went to chandani chowk to find this bitter gourd (Karela) authentic pickle."
(Come on Meera…truly…how much do you speak. Oh God…give some peace to this girl. Nothing cane be done about her…I told you right…it is a bruise…and it is now healing. Now you tell me, if you liked the pickle. You know, I went to chandani chowk to find this bitter gourd authentic pickle.)
Geet left a sigh of relief as Meera finally smiled and started excitingly talk about pickle, her studies, baby's movements and all the gossip of the hostel. Later, Geet arranged for a taxi and took her to the hospital for her check up and ultrasound.
After buying refills for vitamin supplements, she got her back to the hostel.
She spent the whole day with girls in the hostel soothing her heart which had healed by Maan's trust, Pinky's care and off course her hostel family's love
She felt all ready to face another day in office.

Monday
Geet went to the Gurdwara to give her homage
"Babaji…aaj ek baar phir se mein ek nayi shuruwat karne jaa rahi hoon…mera saath dena Babaji"

Geet entered office to be stopped by Sasha and Tasha. Sasha looked at Geet objectively and noticed some faint scars near her jaw. She took out her compact and dabbed it near her own cheeks and then offered it to Geet
"So Ms Behanji….how are you feeling. Mujhe toh laga tha accident is just an excuse but yahan toh sach mein lagta hai kuch hua hai. By the way isn't it fishy, pehle tumhara accident and phir 2 days later firing of Rahul…kahin tum ne milke toh kuch…."
(So Ms. Behanji…how are you feeling? I thought that accident is just an excuse but it seems in reality something has happened. By the way isn't it fishy that first your accident and then two days later firing of Rahul…hope you two were not together…)
"Sasha!!!"
Tasha stopped caressing her pony and stood in attention as loud voice of Maan boomed on the floor. Sasha looked at MK with fear as other people scampered to their seat to avoid Maan Sir's blazing eyes.
Sasha's words were threatening to engulf Geet and she was looking down till now not knowing how to respond. But Maan's loud voice made her look at him with fear.
Maan cringed inwardly reading Geet's fear and silent plea to not increase the office gossip. He calmed his anger -
"Sasha, get me the file for Noida Mall"
Sasha just nodded and then looked at Geet - "File lekar aao"
(Get the file)
Maan was furious at the audacity of this girl. "Sasha, so now it is you who will tell me who should be doing what in this company?"
"No MK…but Geet is the secretary so…"
"Geet has come to office today Ms. Sasha and as you were supposedly working on the file, you need to get it in my cabin now.
Geet, arrange for a HOD meeting for 12:00 PM today"

Both Sasha and Geet nodded as he moved forward and then turned and looked at Sasha menacingly.
"By the way Sasha, this is not a modeling agency office but a construction company. So it will be good you if you stop wasting your time on useless things and concentrate on your work."
Sasha saw Maan glaring at the compact in her hand and she hurriedly gave it to Tasha for holding but by that time Maan had marched into his office.
Geet thanked Maan once again in her heart and went about doing her work.
HOD Meeting
Geet was taking notes, when Maan started discussing about Chopra's community project.
"As Geet is back, along with being my secretary, she will be working on this project as client liaison officer along with Vidyut as the architect. They both will report to me directly as it needs attention from senior management and I will be leading this project end to end.
Due to this, I will not be able to give lot of time to other projects. Hence, starting now, Adi will be in-charge for all the other projects and he will discuss with me as and when required."
Geet was very thankful to be given opportunity to work in a larger role along with Maan Sir himself while Sasha fumed as now Geet will be working with MK while she will be reporting to Adi instead of Maan. But any dissent which rose inside her was quashed when Maan continued
"I expect my team to extend their full support to Adi. Any lapse in this regard will not be excused and I will personally deal with it. I hope I have made the interest of the company clear and the consequences as well."
Everyone just nodded their head in agreement and moved out when Maan stopped Geet and asked her to arrange for a status and planning session for the community project.

As Geet, pushed her head on the pillow she pouted with sulk – "Yeh Maan sir bhi na…aaj mera pehla din tha aur itna kaam. I could not even thank him for everything he did for me in these last few days. Ab aap hi bataiye Babaji…mujhe unhein thanks toh kehna chaiye na. Aur waise bhi aaj bhi unhone meri kitni madad ki. Us chudail Sasha se bachaya aur mujhe apne saath project mein bhi kam karne diya.
Chahe job hi ho jaye…kal mujhe unhein thanks kehna hi hai. Soch Geet soch…aisa kya karoon jis se I can express my gratitude towards him.
Ummm…flowers…nahi nahi…I don't think sir will like flowers in office aur phir agar kisi ne kuch ulta sulta matlab nikal liya toh…
Chocolates…pagal hai kya. Maan sir toh cofee bhi ek sugar cube ke saath lete hain toh pata nahi unhein chocolates pasand bhi hongi ya nahi…waise bhi woh kya ladki hai…"
(This Maan Sir…today was my first day and so much work. I could not even thank him for everything he did for me in these last few days. Now you only tell me God…I should thank him right. And moreover he helped me today also so much. First he saved me from that witch Sasha and then allowed me to work with him also.
Whatever may happen…tomorrow I have to say him thanks. Think Geet think…what should I do to express my gratitude towards him.

Meanwhile Maan was doing his exercise once again and lost in his favorite past time – no no not exercise but thinking about his Geet.
"Aaj use dekhne ke baad dil ko sukoon mil gaya. Pata nahi kaise she must have managed herself. Jab mein khud bhi nahi control kar paa raha toh….
But she is very strong. Choti si umar mein duniya dekh li hai usne…ya phir is duniya ne majboor kar diya hai use itna mature hone ke liye. When I saw her today, I just wanted to hide her in my arms…hide her from this world.
Kaash ki mein use phir se befikar hoke jeene ka mauka de sakta…I wish I could fill her life with happiness and new dreams.
But I have to be patient. I can not force my attention on her as I know it will scare her. Tabhi toh, today when I had such a deep urge to keep her in front of me, I kept her involved in work and all the meetings. So that I can be with her without making her uncomfortable.
Geet…tumhari ankhon ka yeh jo dard hai, pata nahi ise mein kabhi puri tarah se khatam kar paunga ya nahi. Par wayda hai ki ek din in ankhon mein khushiyon ki jhalak hogi…zaroor hogi. I will do anything for that smile which touches your eyes.
