All – Thanks a lot for your motivating comments. Don't worry, I would not leave the story hanging and just wanted to know if it is boring and if yes, I rather focus on writing something different. But your comments filled my heart with so much warmth. Thanks a lot.
@Hanisdevi, shabnam22, trsiha4ever, sonu4ever, sree10, Soapoperasrfun, --Fairy--, Luvforever, sahibasharma, Mina420, punam2712, Tamanna_TJ, april12, Koolsmile, ramyayuppy, drashti10 – Thank you all of so much for your kind words. Thanks for understanding and supporting me. Please always feel free to give candid feedback and let me know if in future you want to change the pace of this story. I depend on you guys to keep me on track and thanks a lot for motivating me.
@Tellyme – Thanks Anu. Yes you are right and even I loved YRKU a lot. I think I told u many a times and I will keep my patience. It is just sometimes, you start wondering if people are enjoying what you are writing. And with such great feedback, I will definitely continue and trust my readers to let me know if pace gets very slow or boring.
@Shruthe – Thanks dear. Yes, you are right that I always wanted to write this story. But then I also want readers to enjoy it. So that is why I asked because it is not necessary that everyone will like what I like. So on my part, I just wanted to know if it was wasted effort and maybe I should think of another story. But I am very overwhelmed by all the response I have got and will continue. Anyways, confession is a little away and there are bits of it which I definitely have to pen down (Abhi na Jao Chod ke…..I have imagined this seq so many times in my head, that I have to write it ) but at the same time will depend on readers to tell me if they want to increase the pace or it is time to "Pack Up" and start a new one.
@Heytal – Thanks for starting, will be waiting for your comments. ETA - Read your comment. Thanks a lot dear for liking the story and yes you captured the spirit of the story very well. As I said in the beginning, this FF is all about social issues and the story of GHSP which was in the end not justified properly by creative's. In the end, it is about Geet and Maan and as described by gudmeet – sharmilli Geet and majnu Maan totally smitten by her.
@gudmeet – You are always there as a star for me. Thank you so much. Sometimes, I just get so lost in a story that I don't understand if people are even enjoying it. So I need this reality check. With Vivah it was very easy, as likes just kept on increasing so I knew but here I feel so lost sometimes. But thanks and yes I am also very excited about sharmili Geet and majnu Maan…..perfect way of describing them in Winter Sonata.
@-lakshmi- - Makhane ki kheer is my fav and one thing I refuse to give up like rajma chawal (Palin's life Partner). As to Winter Sonata, I was not planning to cut short the story till Geet's confession so don't worry you will get all what u mentioned. But I had planned few tracks after all of that and was in double mind seeing the response. Well, I guess I will probably ask once again when I am at point of writing that track and then decide. So for now, enjoy and we will see.
@crazydream – Thanks dear and I appreciate your effort to always comment and that too more than two words even after being on mobile.
@maansee – Thanks dear. I always wanted to write a story with same backdrop as GHSP but different and I am glad you are liking it.
@Ash – I made Kheer just yesterday but makhane khatam ho gaye the so rice kheer….but it came out pretty good. Daal Makhani and Shahi paneer bhi banaya tha along with baingan bharta and sweet corn dry veg. So full menu. Itna khaya ki bas pucho mat. Best part was I made dhokla after like ages and I got so many compliments….had a great party and dinner.
@Prithvisanyo1 – Thanks dear and your comments and kind words mean a lot.
@Nisha – Kya bolun yaar. You single handedly made me cry too with your note. I never meant to stop writing completely because frankly speaking you guys have become so close me and you fulfill my emotional need as well. Be it writing, reading comments and feeling appreciated or reading such nice stories from such a talented pool of people. But yes, I was definitely de-motivated with lack of response to winter sonata. I just wanted to know if people are even enjoying it and should I move to another idea and another story. But after reading your note, I was so overwhelmed. Till I have you and few more who motivate me so much, I will continue this story. Also don't worry, I have already started building on a new idea, so another FF after WS is in the making.
As to the note on update, pic was beautiful along with symbolism. Maan is definitely like a ray of sunshine warming Geet and helping her to come out of her shell. Also, I agree…..mere liye Maan's fav dish has to be my fav dish…makhane ki kheer. You should try it for sure if you get a chance especially when it is chilled. Oh it is heavenly. Loved the song and as gudmeet commented, even your comments are awesome. Ab tu bhi jaake jaldi se update likh….I am waiting.
We both are waiting for next song hai na...I have even added some poetic lines to highlight the effect. Hope you will like it.
@Mahimaan – Thanks dear for catching up and liking the update
@Nivedithachand – Welcome back honey
VERY IMPORTANT: Please add ritzypm as buddy to gets PMs for this FF
Chapter 25 – Aise Na Mujhe Tum Dekho
A Month Later - 6:30 PM
Maan called Geet and informed her about Mr. Chopra's request for final blue print and launch plan review tomorrow itself as he had to leave to US for a personal emergency.
"Launch preparations for community project are almost done. As only few hours worth of work is left mainly around review and finishing up, let's try to complete it tonight and present to Mr. Chopra tomorrow before he flies to US. I have asked Vidyut and Romeo to come back as well. Arrange everything in the conference room and let us start while they join us."
Geet took all the blue prints, plans, brochures and files to the conference room settling in every thing.
Maan walked in soon.
"Set up the blueprint on the board and I will start reviewing that. Meanwhile, you start on finishing the marketing brochure."
Geet just nodded her head and started working. Both were engrossed in their work with only noise breaking the silence of the room was an occasional marking/scratching noise by their pens or the pitter-patter sound of the raindrops falling outside against the glass wall of the building.
Weather had turned to the worse and it had been raining since late afternoon. But oblivious to the storm outside both were involved in their own work.
Suddenly a tinkling sound of Geet's payal distracted Maan and he hazarded a veiled look at his muse. He smiled slightly seeing her totally lost in a glossy card. His eyes noticed every soft contour of her face, her lashes dipping and opening, her cheeks being kissed by her jhumkas, the creases on her forehead as she concentrated at her work and her lips which were chewing on the the pen as usual. He could almost feel her gentle breaths and was in awe as to how her innocence shone through even in the mundane antics.
(Lines in purple are some couplets I have added to describe Maan's thoughts / situation)
Masoomeiyt aisi ki kashish jaga de
Doori yeh aisi ki mujhe ismein jala de

Aise Na Mujhe Tum Dekho
Seene Se Laga Loonga
Tumko Main Chura Loonga Tumse
Dil Mein Chhupa Loonga
Maan's heartbeats arose just by watching her profile. Blood rushed to his heart as it constricted with desire to just hold her close…feel her softness in his arms…to breathe in her breaths….to hide her from this world.
He walked towards her, so close, so near. She looked at him with question in her eyes but slowly, her smile shortened and her mouth opened in "O" as she saw his expression. Maan's gaze was smoldering and for once, he just wanted to loose himself in her. His hand moved on its own accord to remove those tendrils floating around her alluring face. He didn't want to but could not resist anymore from sliding his palm just a little lower to caress her now pink cheeks.
"Geet"
Dheemi Dheemi Aag Se Ek
Shola Bhadkaya Hain
Door Se Tumne Iss Dil Ko
Kitna Tarsaya Hain
Main Ab Iss Dil Ke Saare
Armaan Nikaloonga
Tumko Main Chura Loonga Tumse
Dil Mein Chhupa Loonga
He bent down dipping his face at crook of her neck…feeling her smell…touching goose bumps on her skin. He placed a small peck and then a wet one as she arched back her neck to give him more access. Her breath was hitched and he could feel her whole body tingling with his presence.
"Tring…tring"
Maan's dream was broken by the sound of his mobile phone and he just realized that he was still standing near the blueprints while she was still engrossed in the brochures. He immediately turned averting his eyes and picked up the phone, concentrating back on the call.
Geet glanced at him to just see him rubbing his forehead in worry. He quickly finished the call and looked up to just see a concerned face of Geet
"Kya hua Sir…any problem"
He mulled for just a second with realization that she knew him so well and his gestures but rued at the fact that only one thing she did not understand were…his feelings…his love.
"Take it easy Maan…control…what are you doing. And what the hell were you thinking. Abhi tak toh bas sapnon mein but now you have started imagining things with open eyes. What if she gets scared of you…so control and relax...even situation is not good…just control yourself for her and concentrate on her damn it."
"Geet…woh…it was Vidyut. He picked up Romeo and was coming to office but apparently there has been drainage overflow near our office and all roads are blocked with water and traffic. They are not even able to walk through and apparently police have also cordoned off the area as some cars and buses are stuck due to high water level.
I know it is not a comfortable situation for you but I can't even ask you to leave as most probably you will just get stuck outside."
Maan was not sure about Geet's reaction as flashes from few months back came to his mind. He was hesitant but her safety and comfort were his paramount thoughts at the moment.
Tere Dil Se Ae Dilbar
Dil Mera Kehta Hain
Pyar Ke Dushman Log Mujhe
Dar Lagta Rehta Hain
Thamlo Tum Meri Baahein
Main Tumhe Sambhaloonga
Tumko Main Chura Loonga Tumse
Dil Mein Chhupa Loonga
Geet smiled seeing him worry so much about her.
"Sir…please don't take tension. I have full faith in you."
Maan looked at her with almost reverence at those words. Itna bharosa…itna vishwaas. She had so much trust in her eyes for him that suddenly nothing else mattered anymore. Pyaar ka toh pata nahi, but for now he got the most precious thing he wanted in life…her trust.
Geet saw him looking at her with so much calmness as if he has got the peace he was looking for "Its ok sir. Let us complete the work and when water level will go down, we can go home. I don't have any problem working with you sir."
Outwardly, Maan just murmured thanks but inside his heart rejoiced at the fact that she trusted him so much.
"Yeh bharosa mein kabhi tutne nahi dunga Geet…yeh waada hai tumse"
(I will never let this trust break…it is a promise.)
Doori yeh aisi ki mujhe ismein jala de
Par teri is ek bharose ki nazar ke liye
Tayiar hein hum ki koi shikyat nahi
agar ab yeh khuda humein fanna bhi karde
For an hour or so, both worked hard. Maan completed the blue prints and picked up the budget file while Geet finished her marketing brochures.
"Sir..."
"Hmmm"
"Sir, Vidyut sir had taught me a little bit about planning. If ok, should I start looking at the launch plan details? I can mark any obvious issues and maybe it will help you in reviewing it quickly."
Maan gave a faint smile – "Are you not tired…take a break."
"Aap bhi toh tired hai na sir. Jaldi se ho jayega."
Meri itni fikar hain tumhein
Ki khud ko bhi maloom nahi par saath hai woh har zare mein
Hum toh sirf sochte hain ki use bata dein
Par sach toh yeh hai ki humsafar woh saath hai ab mere
Maan could not help but smile at her understanding and commitment. Glancing at her, he was finding it very hard to hide his emotions. Her every antic, even slightest of movement was affecting him big time and it was maybe her own concentration at work which forced him back at it.
Ji toh chahta hai ki bas bhar loon tujhe apni bahon mein
Teri har ada se roshan mera dil ho gaya
Kya bas yunhi door se tujhe niharna
Ban gayi hai kismet meri?
8:30PM
Geet was startled by a loud growling noise. She looked up but found Maan sir still deep in his work. She heard the sound again and groaned in frustration as she realized it was from her tummy.
She was hungry and immediately put her hand in her bag to take out a banana. But then she saw the hard planes of Maan sir's face as he continued to work.
"Sir ko bhi toh bhuk lagi hogi. He even skips his lunch half the time and just takes two biscuits with his evening coffee."
She looked at his tired face "He is so tired but still…kabhi complain nahi karte."
She got up quietly and walked out of the conference room towards the pantry. Maan saw her leaving but assumed she needed a break.
His restless eyes were continuously at the door waiting for her to come back when he saw her entering the room
"Sir…Coffee"
Maan looked up to face her "Thanks Geet"
She smiled but stood her ground now fidgeting with her dupatta. Maan smiled inwardly at the giveaway to her nervousness and asked her softly
"Kya hua Geet?"
He did not miss the slight hesitation – "Sir, woh I know it is very small but you must be hungry na. I have one banana. If you want, we can share it."
"Acha…lekin you must be hungry too…right"
"Wahi toh…I am obviously hungry…isiliye I am asking to share and not giving you full"
Maan laughed out aloud and Geet looked first in amazement - "Aap hanste bhi hain sir" and then suddenly realizing the reason for his laughter looked upwards with cute pouting face - "Dekha Babaji…mein toh achi bachi ki tarah puch rahi hoon and he is making fun of me"
"Geet…stop talking to your Babaji. I am laughing because even when you are hungry you want to share that banana with me. I am ok. Tum kha lo…I am used to working late."
"Nahi Nahi sir….how is that possible. I can't eat when you haven't eaten anything."
Geet had no idea how her simple words were touching Maan's soul. In fact they were cleansing his heart of all the pain and frustration he had bottled up in his heart till now.
Ek ek kar ke tere har kahe unkahe lafz ne
Dho diya har daag…har nishaan ko
Duniya ne to zakham bahut diye
Phir bhi sukoon de gaya yeh pyaar meri ruh ko
Geet peeled off the banana, took the top half and gave the remaining to Maan
Pyar Ke Daaman Mein Chunkar
Hum Phool Bhar Lenge
Raaste Ke Kaante Saare
Door Kar Lenge
Jaaneman Tumko Apni
Main Jaan Bana Loonga
Tumko Main Chura Loonga Tumse
Dil Mein Chhupa Loonga
Maan was lost in his Jaan as he ate the half banana - "Humesha bas dusron ke bare mein hi sochti hai…pagli…"
Kaise na pyar hoga tujhse
Tera dil hai hi itna khubsurat
Abhi tak to tujhe puri tarah se apna banaya bhi nahi
Par bas gayi hai dil mein tu phir bhi abhi se
Very soon Maan completed the budget file and took the brochures and plans for review. Geet was done with her work and just started collating all the things scattered around the conference room. She sat down in the chair, looking outside the window at the dark sky which was getting illuminated by streaks of lightning.
