Yes, the entire sequence starting from when Maan sees Geet and the pull he felt towards her. His growling "Not now", his eyes fixed on her, everything felt so damn real. Not for a moment had I felt a pinch of OTT, it was that perfect. I am awed by it may be because of how your Maan is shown. I always felt writing Girls' characters is pretty easy. Writing a man's perspective, especially an alpha male like Maan, and the way he thinks was a challenge to me. Often we see characters of the male protagonist written in such a way that they are what any women want the man to be. Seldom are there characters which portray how a real man is. Your glimpse of Maan fell under second category. I hope I am making sense

Hey just saw your post. I was too busy reading Web of Love (which by the way is just awesome) and commenting on it.😆

As for making sense yep yep you are totally making sense. When I was writing the scene I first thought of what Maan's character is like. Would he be arrogant? Absolutely. A liitle impatient with all the hanger on's? Ohyes. Would he be intense and so on. So I first built his character and then fitted the dialogue to his character. Doeas that make sense?

I am so glad you got the character of the man I was trying to portray.

See the thing about human nature is, as time passes our memories tend to become vague, what was a life threatening incident doesn't seem that scary with the passing of time as in Rano's case It had been 22 years and she had broken off all ties with her ex husband.To her mind that chapter was over. But to him it was wound that over time just festered more and more. She allowed time to erase the horror of her past. None of them believed there was a danger anymore, and that is why Rajesh and Anita didn't think much about going with them. It was just a precautionary measure, going to a palce where there were old bitter memories, but to all of them it was just the past vague and almst forgotten. As for Mohinder it was just that particular time that he couldn't go. Since the distance betwwen Goa and Sawantwadi is only like 2 hrs and since they were already in Goa Rano decided to go.

I know i had reserved a post earlier but it is lost within pages so commenting here. Sorry dear for late comments

I had read the update before and read it again now. The sheer brutality and violence had shaken me up. But it is a fact which happens in india on a regular basis. Khandaan ki izzat ke naam pehle shaadi karo and then in true sense, become so paraya that you don't care if your daughter is alive or dead.

Husband is greedy and immoral but always what pains is the limit they can go to and the betrayal faced vecause of the family which gave you birth. That was one of the reasons I loved GHSP so much only if they had stuck to thier original story...

anyways not going there, update was awesome. In every sense Handa's are her family and miri her daughter...this is the same world where a man goes so bad to kill another human being mercillessly and another man accepts, loves and makes home with a woman and a little girl who has no one else in life. Even if mohinder accepted Rano and Geet there was no reason for them to accept Miri but they did. Kahin toh Khoon bhi paani hai aur kahin khoon se kahin zayda pyaar hai...

Hey Ritzy your comments are always eagerly awaited no matter when you post them.

And yeah some people have their priorities all screwed up. Putting izzat before their daughters. WHAT B.S Izzat gayi tel lene I say.

I cry at the possiblities that the original GHSP story could have had. They just butcherd it. That's why I love a well written FF that shows the same story as the original one but does not digress into the pathetic stupidity they made out of it. Which brings me to why I love Winter Sonata so much. I just know that in your hands the full potential of what could have been will be well realized.

You have put in words beautifully what I was trying to show through the story. Oh I love that last quote,

"Kahin toh Khoon bhi paani hai aur kahin khoon se kahin zayda pyaar hai..."

If you don't mind I'd love to use that in my update. Chalega?
