PART 1

Chirping of birds...and the fresh smell of dawn...welcomed her to a new day. A new day...bringing with it..hopes. Hopes...to start afresh...leaving behind everything that took her beautiful smile away for a while.

The sun rays...sieved by magnificent soft-hued curtains...entered her room...which was graced by all the soothing shades of Pink...and touched her flawless face...to wake her up.

And she shouted...with her pleading voice...as clear as a bell "Please babaji ! sone do na..thoda sa aur..Bas 5 min.!!" and covered her face with her pink velvety quilt again.

"Enough GEET! Wake UP! It is 06.45 already!"

A voice came from some other room which wasn't very distant.

She woke up instantly after that...first stretched her hands out...and then joined her delicate hands together to say her regular inaudible prayer.

Her pink night suit added a glowing tint to her fair face...

She drowsily picked up her alarm clock, to shut it off...but was shocked to see the time!

"OH MY GOD!!"

Pinky..a girl with very graceful features, rushed in with her formal attire, mixing the dough in the bowl..with a spoon.

"What happened geet..? Why did u shout? U scared me.."

Geet sprang up from her bed...

"Maine tujhe kaha tha na Pinky...k please mujhe 6 bje utha dena..toh tune mujhe kyo nhi uthaya??"

Pinky giggled and teasingly said

"Mam! I'm trying to wake you up since 05.45...par aap kaha sunengi meri...

Acha...leave it...U are getting late...now get ready fast..Mujhse baad me gussa ho jana...It is ur interview today!"

Geet immediately rushed to take a bath.

In the Dining Room

Geet entered...wearing a green colored salwar-suit, complementing her perfect figure. The dupatta draped around her shoulders & neck in a rather stylish but graceful way. Her outfit wasn't very 'happening'...but she carried it with a lot of elegance.

She sat on the table

Geet: Oh hoo!aaj ka breakfast pinky ji ne banaya h..Yum!!! Yumm!!!

Pinky: Geet ji! aap plz zyada khush na ho...Now, u'll have to prepare breakfast for 7 continuous days...Is poore week maine hi breakfast karwaya h apko.

Geet: Ok! u know pinky...tu badi lucky h yaar..!!

Pinky: Kyo??

Geet: Arrey..!! Tujhe Geet Handa k hatho ka shaahi khana jo milta h..!!

And they both burst out laughing

Pinky:(looking at her wrist watch) Let's leave geet! I'm getting late for office...aur tujhe b late ho rha h...It is always safe to reach early for an interview.

Geet agreed with her...Pinky wished her luck...and they both left for their destinations.

It was 5 in the evening,

Geet enters the house full of anger and finds pinky marching here & there ...she could easily figure out that pinky was stressed.

Pinky had a sigh of relief when she saw geet.!!

Pinky: Where were u geet..!!! It is 5..! Your interview was supposed to be over at 11 am..Right? I was so tensed...u didn't even call. Leave calling...u didn't even care to pick up my phone!

Geet did realize her mistake...she was very sensitive for her friends.

Geet:(teary eyed) I am sorry pinky. I was not feeling good yaar...I was burning with anger...isliye Shivji k mandir me thi. I promise I'll not do it again.

Pinky:(understood that her friend was getting sentimental) It is ok re..! I know that u never mean to hurt anyone. But..Anger?? U got the job na? Don't tell me that u fought with the interviewer again!

Geet: Pinky it wasn't my fault. All they thought was about Income, profit and loss.

Pinky: Geet U were over qualified for the job but...

Geet: Right pinky, I know I needed the job badly...but this will not make me compromise with my value, ideologies...whatever u want to call them. I can't work in a place like that. And u know what...? The place wasn't worthy enough for me..Ms Geet Handa..aisi waisi jagah kaam nhi krti.

Pinky: Yeah right! Chal...is baat ko bhul ja...look what I got for u? Passes..!

Geet(with a childlike biggg smile on her face): Passes?? U r taking me out for dinner kya (winks)

Pinky: I think u have lost it :P These are the passes for the national business summit, where all the major construction companies of the country will be together. My boss is the Chief Guest of the event...isliye all the employees of KC have been given a pass for two. U'll get to learn a lot from there and u never know...ho sakta h k teri professional capabilities dekh kr u get a new job that matches with ur ideologies.

Geet: WOOWWW! U r the best yaar.!!

Pinky: Geet! I need to go back to the office now, Boss ne sirf 2 hrs ki permission di thi..late ho gyi toh he'll fire me out of KC...He is a disciplinarian. Ab I'll have to stay in office till 8 today...isliye dinner kha lena..mai tere liye pizza le aayi thi..it is on the kitchen table.

(Pinky starts rushing out of the house..geet stops her)

Geet: Kya Pinky! U are so scared of him! If I were you...I would have fixed him right there! Dimaag sahi kr deti uska.

Pinky: Really geet? Abhi tu unse mili nhi h na..isliye aisa keh rhi h. Meri toh unke saamne aawaz hi nhi nikalti...bolti band ho jaati h..Chal, am going. Bye!

Pinky goes out..

Geet thinks

'Hmmm...Mr. Discipline se toh milna hi hoga ab'
