Rejerbed!
Edited:
Editing a comment in here is like writing Chemistry exam. Until you sit in the examination hall, you feel so confident and you think you know everything, and once you have a look at the question paper, dang you go blank. And then you wish to have books at your side all over again. So yes, I am reading the update again to write something which would make some sense.
Re edited: Read the chapter and most importantly QOC and Palin's comments. Stopped myself in reading others since I would want this to extend to eternity. The thoughts, ideas, views expressed make me give a dreamy sigh and want to read them forever until I am dragged into the ring of course.
Tension time:
So, *Puffs some air and rubs hands out of sheer nervousness* I am here to say something. Intelligent, you might add. 😆
The man's audacious comments had me stare like this😳
Typical attitude we are met with wherever we go. Judgements, judgements and more judgements are what we are surrounded with. Not just with the dressing up we do, also with the kind of voice you have, the way you laugh, and last but not the least your physical features like your height, weight and complexion plays a major role in deciding what you are.
There is an incident I wish to share. There was this friend of mine. We were planning on a girls' day out and she was late as usual. We were calling her frequently asking where the hell she's now and we being our jackass selves were cracking ridiculous jokes making her feel that she's missing out on so many things. The girl was in bus laughing her ass out, and the moment she cuts the call, the woman sitting next to her gave her a lecture for half n hour on how a girl shouldn't laugh out loud.
While these incidents make memories to share at a later time and laugh about, they scare me when I think about the mindset people have which leads them to take few things granted.
Anyway am going off the topic.
I was not surprised for Geet not reacting at his comments but deciding it was time to bid bye when his poking his nose got a bit too much.
Gopal Kaka first intimidated me at some level but the moment Geet compared him with her father, the entire equation changed and for me his line depicted this.
Let us suppose a girl had problems in marriage and wanted to return her parental house. Her father, after listening to her side of story would be furious and would ask her to stay in her "Home" hereafter.
It wouldn't be a request, it would be a fierce command, and he might not entertain her wanting to go back in future because of the protective instincts in him making him wary of her getting hurt again. To me, Gopal Kaka seemed like that protective father.
