PASSION
She lowered her head down, with a shy smile playing at the corner of her lips as Maan stared passionately at her and said again, "I don't want to leave."
Her head was still bent low, when she moved forward and gingerly placed her hands on his chest. She began to push him backwards gently, without looking up, while he murmured again, his eyes staring at her face, as if seeing it for the first time, "I don't want to leave, Geet."
The shy smile played at her lips almost involuntarily, as she continued shoving him towards the backdoor gently, her hands on his chest, shivering with the ripple of muscle beneath them. He allowed her to move him to the back door, and leaned against it, suddenly grabbing her waist, as the doorbell sounded again.
"Bohut dino tak yeh nahin kar paogi tum. Aane toh mere paas hi hoga, aur rehna toh mere saath hi hoga, samjhi tum?" he murmured, stroking her nose with his.
"Jayiye'Maa-Baba aa gaye hain," she murmured gently, and opened the backdoor, giving him a final push.
He stood outside staring at her, as she closed the door haltingly and reluctantly. Leaning against the closed door, Geet let out a loud and happy sigh. Babaji, she murmured, looking up, aapne ek pal mein mujhe saari zindagi ki khushi de di.
The doorbell was louder this time and Geet quickly got up to get the door. She saw her flustered parents standing outside, who exclaimed, "Kya hua, Geet? Darwaza kholne mein itni der kyun ho gayii?"
She opened her mouth to say something stupid, when her mother walked into the house and held her shoulders gently. Looking carefully at her face, Rano asked in a low voice, "Beta, tu thik toh hain na? Kya hua hain tujhe? Your lips'"
Geet put her hand to her lips at once, only to feel a slight almost unnoticeable sore in them. She snapped her head away from her mother, who was staring at her inquiringly. Rano ran her hand through Geet's ruffled hair and spoke, "Tere baal, tere hooth..why is everything so ruffled and messy beta?"
"Woh'woh'Maa..main woh'.main so rahi thi na, isiliye," she said, without looking at her mother. She still hadn't learnt to lie on her parent's face while confidently staring into their eyes.
"I see." Rano dropped the subject, much to Geet's relief. She walked to the kitchen to keep the thali while Geet started moving up to her room, feeling her heartbeat escalate abnormally.
Suddenly, Rano turned around and said, "Geet, your lips look really sore. Thoda vaseline laga lena beta."
"Vaseline?" she murmured, holding her lips again and feeling the images spring up in front of her eyes.
She couldn't bear to look at the kitchen counter, or the walls below without thinking what had just happened there so she rushed upstairs to her bedroom and closed the door behind her, leaning down against it. Geet put her fingers on her lips tenderly, feeling them all over and suddenly, covered her face with her hands as the inevitable shyness kicked in.
She slowly raised herself and wallked up to the mirror, staring at herself strangely. Her usually braided hair was ruffled, messy and her hairband was somewhere in the world, but she didn't know where. She ran her hands over her face, stopping at her lips. Her eyes widened and then lowered down shyly as she saw how raw her lips were. Her lower lip was so tender, she felt as if blood might spurt out if she so much as licked it. She smiled at herself in the mirror, feeling her tired lips respond strangely. The feeling was so overwhelming, that Geet felt her legs turn into jelly and she almost collapsed on the bed.

I had never imagined someone could propose like that'.I have no idea what I am doing since last night. I buttered my bread carefully on BOTH sides this morning, I went down wearing vaseline at the breakfast table. Maa ko toh pakka yakeen hain, that some animal bit my lips as I was sleeping'aab unhe kaise samjhaun, Geet smiled shyly, as her pen stopped, that she got it only half right! Pata nahin shaadi ke baad, main kaise sab ko samjhuangi'inhe toh koi parwa hi nahin hain'lekin sab toh mujhe hi chirhaenge, haina? She sobered down, as she stared at the last line she had just written in her precious diary.
Geet, yeh tune kyun likkha? What are you hinting at? She asked herself furiously, dekha, main puri tarah se pagal ho gayii hoon. Unse shaadi ki baat se mera yeh haal hain, toh pata nahin aage jaake kya hoga!!
Main unse shaadi karungi. He'll be my husband, I''ll be his wife. He will belong to me truly and in all senses. Woh sirf mere honge, sirf mere. Sirf mera haq hoga unpe, aur kisi ka nahin'. She slammed her diary close and hid her face into the pillow, biting her lips shyly.
Life couldn't get any better for Geet.

He raised himself from the bed and slipped on the shirt. Running a hand through his hair, he glanced at himself in the mirror. And, immediately, he saw her.
"GEETT!!!" he muttered, as she stood in front of him, clad in a salwar kameez and with a shy smile on her beautiful lips.
The image disappeared. He gritted his teeth and brought his fist up to slam the mirror. He stopped midway, crashing down on the bed again.
"Maan," he said out aloud, "Aabhi toh shaadi bhi nahin huwi hain, aur yeh haal hain tera'pata nahin jab Geet tere saath issi kamre mein ek hi chat ke niche rahegi, toh kya hoga."
He smirked, as he pulled his phone out of his jean pocket and stared at it.
"Wohi hoga jo manzoor e Maan hoga," he smiled and began to dial a number.

"Hello?" The voice washed over him, soothing his nerves lovingly and setting them on fire at the same time.
He leaned back on bed, and heard her breathing with a smile on his lips.
"Hello?" Geet spoke into the receiver again, with a surprised look in her eyes. She looked at the clock over the mantelpiece in the living room. It was 11pm. Itni raat ko kisne phone kiya? Aur baat kyun nahin kar raha hain? She thought, extremely puzzled.
"Hello?" Geet tried again, this time her voice faltering a little in fear. Pata nahin kaun hain, I should hang up haina?
"Baat nahin karni to phone kyun karte hain?" she muttered in a low voice, and was about to hang up when the deep and rich voice made her almost drop the receiver on the floor.
"Tumhari aawaaz sunloon, toh baat karne ka mann kiss kambakht ka hota hain," his voice was sensuous, almost caressing her senses.
Geet closed her eyes as she felt his presence all around her. It was stupid, he was on the phone, she knew, but it was as if, he was there. It was as if he was right there, with her.
"Aapp'.." she stammered, holding the receiver tightly to her ear.
"Hain main," he murmured, "Kyun? Were you expecting someone else?" he asked, in a lilting voice, with a smirk on his face,
"Nahin, woh'aisi'.aisi'koi baat nahin hain'" she said, shaking her head for a no quickly.
"I have to tell you something very important, Geet," he said, his voice turning serious suddenly.
Geet felt her heart sink down to her toes. The sudden solemness in his voice scared her. Shaadi wali koi baat toh nahin haina?
Maan twisted his body on his bed, trying to find a confortable position and closed his eyes lazily. He held the receiver tightly to his ear and murmured, "Maine tumhari baat ki ghar pe, Geet. And, there's a problem."
She felt her heart spring up to her mouth. Problem matlab? Kya main unlogon ko pasand nahin hoon inke liye?
As if answering her thoughts, he spoke nonchalantly, "They don't like you for me, Geet."
I'm really sorry for the delay, but I sprained my neck I think. Maybe, slept wrong! It's hurting me like HELL and there is barely any place I can turn without hurting myself!😭
I didn't get a chance to let anyone know about this. I'm sorry. Many of you probably saw me online, but I was on phone, only to read and like your posts.
I hope you enjoyed the update, though I think I may have managed to give some of you a heart attack with this part. I meant to, actually!😳
Oh, before I forget, the next update will not be possible before Tuesday, for both the FFs. I'm sorry but I can't find enough strength in me to post a note on A Sudden Change Of Heart thread, so I'm saying it here. I have a few quizzes lined up and so, I have to study and also, my neck is practically killing me!😭😭😭
Please hit the like button on this part and write me long comments. I really love reading them. Gives me something to do when I'm lying on the bed, cursing everything around!😕
