Opposite shores of sea

Part 1

A girl has been blindfolded by a guy and that guy is helping her to find her way carefully.

Both are on the beach.

And the guy takes off the blindfold from the girl's eyes.

The girl opens her eyes and found herself standing on the beach.

There was a table for two on the shore with candles lit on it.

The whole beach was decorated with flowers and curtains.

The girl smiles happily and looks at the guy standing beside her and hugs him tight.

"I love you Maan!" she said happily.

"This is so beautiful" she said while breaking the hug and gently kissing him on his lips.

"I love you too Geet" Maan said after their kiss. "I can do anything in the world to see this smile on your face."

And then with a solemn expression, he bent down on one knee and took Geet's hand in his hand and said while looking lovingly into Geet's eyes.

"Geet, it was the luckiest day of my life when I first met you. I didn't even know the meaning of love then. But after meeting you, I couldn't imagine my life without you. I always found myself complete when you are in my arms. We have seen every phase of relationship together; from enemies to friends, from friends to best friends, and from best friend to my girlfriend. Today, I want to promise you something'I promise to love you every day and night of my life. Your happiness will be my first priority. Even if I have to die a million times, I will always do what's best for you. So will you give me the honour of experiencing a new phase of our relationship? Will you let me make you happy for the rest of my life? Will you marry me??"

Geet looked at him with unshed tears of happiness. How long she has waited for this moment!! And finally, it was here. She was so happy, she thought if she died after this moment, she wont regret it'

And she said "Yes!"

Maan took out the ring from his pocket and put it in her finger and stood up and kissed her breathless'

It was their perfect moment. Their life was so perfect''.

"Geet!" suddenly a voice brought her back to present and she saw her sister pinky looking at her concerned.

She looked around and realized that she has done this to herself again.

She has again relived her past. The past that was no less than a fairytale. She was the princess and her prince charming loved her more than anything in the world.

And she wished she can go back to her past and stay there forever. Even if babaji takes every single breath of hers but in return gives her one day of her past, she would consider her the luckiest person on earth'

But she couldn't do that. She has a present now too.

Dev. Dev Oberoi, ACP of Mumbai. Her friend. And now' her fianc.

She had met Dev in US 4 years ago and he has become a very good friend of hers.

And 5 months ago, he proposed her and she said 'yes'.

Her parents liked Dev very much and they wanted her to get out of her past and move on and marry Dev.

So for the sake of her family's happiness, she has accepted Dev. Everybody had told her that she should marry someone that loves her and not the one that she loves. So she took everyone's advise and locked all her feelings and memories of Maan in one part of her heart and threw away the key'..

That is if she still had a heart!! Her heart was long ago gone with her prince charming and he had forgotten to return it back to her. He has left her void with a hole in her chest'.which hurts a lot.

Geet had got used to by now to the pain and hurt that he has given her. But sometimes, when she let herself loose and her past sneaks up on her, it made extremely difficult for her to control her tears in.

Love: what an unusual feeling. Everything is so beautiful when you're in love. The whole world seems like a heaven. She has been one of those lucky ones whom love has touched.

But love can also be very cruel too. It gives the power to someone to break you. And she has been broken beyond repair.

She has been madly in love with him. Maan. She still caresses his name lovingly in her mind.

She has tried very hard to hate him but was never successful. At last she has given up.

What if he's not in her life anymore? What if she doesn't even know where he is? What if she doesn't know why he left her or where he went?

She still loves him. And she will always love him. Even if she would live till she's 100 years old, every time she would close her eyes, she would see his face behind her eyelids. She was sure of that!

Because its true that a girl never forgets her first love and Maan was her first and last love. He has touched her soul and that touch is gonna stay with her forever.

It wasn't like that she hasn't tried to find him. She had tried everything. She had looked at every place. Asked every person who might have any clue about his whereabouts. Even did advertisements about him'and at last she has accepted her fate'

She still remembers his last call to her in US

Geet: Hello

Maan: Hey sweetheart

There was some death grief in his voice, Geet could feel it.

Geet: Maan, are you ok?

He faked a laugh and said sadly

Maan: Of course sweetheart!

And then he was silent.

Geet had waited for him to say something. She had an ominous feeling about the way he was talking.

After few seconds he said

Maan: Geet

Geet had felt her heart sinking and she had managed to say

Geet: Hmm

Maan: I love you.

Geet: I love you too Maan.

Geet heard her own voice and it sounded too sad.

Maan: Geet, will you promise me something? Promise me that whatever happens tomorrow, you will move on in life. You will never give up. Promise me that you will always stay my sweet little Geet who can laugh even in the most difficult situation. Promise me Geet!

Now Geet was very scared.

Geet: why are you talking like this Maan?

And suddenly a thought came to her

Geet: Are you breaking up with me?

Maan laughs a sarcastic laugh.

Maan: Breaking up?!

And then he changes his tone to playfulness but Geet could still sense sadness in it

Maan: Of course not sweetheart. You are my life Geet! I will always love you. I'..

He stops and Geet felt his voice getting heavy due to tears maybe?!

Geet felt that he is in immense pain. She felt tears coming to her own eyes too.

Before she can say something, the phone disconnected.

She had called "hello" to the dead phone for several minutes, but no reply came from the other side.

She had tried calling him the whole night, but every time the operator told her that the number has been switched off.

That was the last interaction she had with the love of her life, the man for whom she can die for, her Maan'

It has been 5 years 2 months 25 days and 14 hours since she heard his voice for the last time. Every passing minute of her life made her aware that how far she has come from him. And every minute made her realize that how impossible it was to hear his smooth voice again.

After that last conversation, she had tried calling him for months. But his number changes from switched off to disconnected in no time. She had tried every number that she could reach him at, but everything was hopeless.

Her whole life was hopeless. It was very depressing to know that her love story was over and she will probably never see her prince charming.

It was then that Dev came into her life. He has helped her to come out of the grief of losing the love of her life. Atleast, that was what he thought he did. While in reality, she has just learnt to hide her pain and smiled with everyone.

She said she was fine and everybody believed her. Nobody ever thought even for a second that maybe she had got good at lying'

She smiled with everyone. She laughed with everyone. But she never let anyone see behind that mask of happiness.

"Geet" Pinky again said looking concerned "Are you ok? You look lost!"

Geet smiles at her and says playfully to hide the pain in her voice

"Of course I'm ok pinky! I was just thinking about Dev" she smiled at her sweetly.

She knew what her sister would wants to hear and she said exactly what pinky was hoping her to say. Pinky gets happy thinking that Geet is excited about her wedding with Dev which was fixed in next month.

"Geet sabar kar!! Its just a matter of one month. Next month you will get married to him!" she tries to tease her.

Geet felt a sudden pain in her heart thinking that in one month her last hope will be finished!! She will belong to someone else in one month. She has accepted her new future but acceptance hasn't made it a bit easier for her to live through it'.

Geet controls herself and said smiling "Pinky, its getting late. Let's go!!"

When they came out of the mall, it was very late and the last sunray has long ago gone missing in the horizon. It was very dark.

They were walking towards their car when Geet felt a strong hold on her arm and someone dragged her and pinky into a dark and narrow alley.

It was very dark over there and she saw two dark shapes abducting them.

Geet tried to scream but found herself face to face with a gun and her voice died in her throat.

She was scared like hell. She looked sideways towards pinky and saw that another goon has put tape on pinky's mouth.

A voice ordered her "Get into the car" and she realizes that a car was parked at the end of the alley to which the goon was pointing at.

She tried to scream to make a last attempt for escape when one of the goons put a hand on Geet's mouth and hit her hard on her head with the back of his gun.

Geet felt immense pain in her head and found her eyes getting closed'

And then she doesn't remember anything'.

Part 2

A guy in a black vest is standing in a shabby place looking out of the window lost in thought.

He is impatiently waiting for someone.

He thinks in his mind 'they should have come back by now! What is taking them so long? What if they had got caught?'

He gets more restless and looks at his watch and thinks 'I should have gone by myself!'

Suddenly a guy comes into his room and says "Boss, Munna is back!"

Maan looks at him relieved and asks "Kaam ho gaya?"

"Yes Boss. Munna us ACP ki mangetar aur uski behen ko utha laya hai!"

"Hmm." He said and thinks in his mind 'ACP Dev Oberoi! Now you will understand what it takes to mess up with Maan Singh Khurana!!!'

He dials a number on the phone

Dev: "Hello"

Maan: "Maan. Maan Singh Khurana."

Dev gets angry and says

Dev: "Maan Singh Khurana?! How dare you call me? I'm gonna—"

But Maan didn't let him say anything more and said

Maan: "ACP, I don't have time to waste on your empty threats. Just called you to tell you that your little fianc is visiting me for few days. Don't worry about her. I'll take good care of her."

He said with a smirk. Dev said angrily

Dev: "how dare you touch—"

But Maan didn't let him finish again and said

Maan: "If you want to see her alive and untouched, then do as I say. Leave Yash and Raju! Or else..."

Dev: "Or else what?"

Maan: "I'm sure you have heard the word gang rape, haven't you?"

Dev felt so angry that he can broke the phone in his hand

Dev: "how dare you? Are you trying to blackmail me?"

Maan: "who said anything about blackmailing you?! I'm just informing you ACP. Leave my men or else find another girl for yourself!"

And he hangs up.

Somewhere deep inside, he was feeling bad. He didn't wanted to kidnap some innocent girl, but he had no other option.

ACP had arrested Yash and Raju, and he was planning on killing them in fake encounter.

Maan couldn't let that happen. They were depending on him.

So he had to take serious steps fast. He could have tried to attack the lockup and rescue yash and raju but they were being kept in a high security cell and there was a good chance that they might get killed in the process as the police has already decided to kill them.

So he was lwft with no other option.

He planned to kidnap ACP's fianc and demand for yash and raju's release in return.

Munna comes inside and tells him "Boss, all is set."

Maan said "Hmm." And suddenly some unknown feeling hit him and he said "Munna, make sure the girl doesn't get any kind of problem over here. No one will touch her."

He doesn't know why he said this. He knew his men would never touch her immorally. But still somewhere in his heart he felt to comfort that unknown girl. He did not know why he felt like that.

He doesn't even know her. He hasn't even seen her face ever in his life.

But there was something in his heart, that he couldn't pin point at.

When he has threatened ACP for killing the girl or doing wrong with her, he has felt a strange pang in his heart. His heart didn't want to say that, but it was necessary. It was just an empty threat. He cant even think of hurting that unknown girl outside even in his dreams.

And suddenly he was again feeling restless. He doesn't know why???

A sudden urge in his heart was craving to go outside and have a look at the girl whom he has never set his eyes on ever in his life. She was a total stranger for him and he for her. But he was feeling that some unknown invisible thread was pulling him to her.

He cursed himself for feeling like this. He doesn't have a heart!! He has killed his heart 5 years ago... So why is he feeling restless for someone???

At last he couldn't take it anymore and he went outside to have a look at the girl.

And what he saw, made his heart skip a beat. He couldn't believe that he was actually, in real, looking at her beautiful face; that he was looking at his Geet...

Geet and Pinky were both still unconscious. Maan started moving towards her absentmindedly. As if she was pulling him towards her. For him, nothing mattered at this moment than his Geet...

The whole world made no difference to him right now. He has almost forgotten how beautiful she was!!! She was looking like a little angel in the moonlight. His angel!!!

He looked at her lovingly and caressed her every feature of her face with his eyes.

He realised that he has never fully appreciated how beautiful she was.

He went close to her and sit on the side.

For that moment, he doesn't know who he was or who she was. All he knows was that she is his Geet and he is her Maan.

He gently picks up her hand and kissed on it.

Geet's hand moved a little in his hold to hold the hand that was holding her. It was as if her subconscious mind knew that was the place where her hand belongs... In his hand.

A smile came on his lips and he found wet drops of water falling on their entwined hands and he realised that these moistened drops have escaped from his eyes.

He lovingly caressed her forehead with his hand while putting her hair back from her face.

All those feelings that he has buried deep down somewhere in his heart 5 years ago, have come out in a huge force by mere looking at her face.

And he remembered his decision that he has taken almost 5 years ago. He has decided to go from her life and never come back. He had decided never to look back on his decision again and leave her alone.

He hasn't explained anything to her and just disappeared from her life with the hope that she might someday start hating him and move on in life.

Because they can never be together anymore. They were like the two opposite shores of a sea, to whom the water, in their case their love, does join but they can never be together.

He remembered all the promises that he has made her but couldn't keep them...

How could he??? He couldn't ruin her life...

And suddenly he saw a ring on her finger and realised that it was not the same ring that he has put on her finger. It was a different ring.

And he came back to his senses. He realised that geet is engaged to the ACP. And he felt like someone has stabbed him right through his heart.

It isn't easy to see your love engaged to someone else. And the most painful part is that you know that is best for her and this is what you have wanted for her. To be happy in her life...without him.

Even when he wanted it for her, doesn't make it less painful for him. But he will take this pain with a smile.

He can still die a million times to keep her happy.

He realised that he had made a mistake. He has made the biggest mistake of his life by kidnapping her.

He thought that maybe she has forgotten him by now. After all, 5 years is a long time. Just because he couldn't forget her for his entire life, doesn't mean that she will be the same too. That's the reason why there's someone else's ring on her finger.

He thought sarcastically that just like his ring, she has thrown him out of her life too. Isn't this was what he wanted too!!!

And if she saw him, all her old wounds will get fresh.

He gets up determinedly to go out of her sight as soon as he can, before she wakes up.

But suddenly his eyes fell on her neck and he stopped in his steps.

She was wearing his ring in a chain around her neck... Near to her heart!!

And he realised that she hasn't forgotten him. Something that his heart already knew deep inside.

He thought happily 'she doesn't hate me.' And a million emotions passed through him. It was like his dead heart has become alive again in his chest.

But then his expressions changed as he realised what he was wishing for and he said to himself determinedly

"But you will hate me Geet! I will make you hate me!!"

And then his expressions changes to hurt and he looks at her face caressing with his eyes and said

"This is for your own best!! I'm sorry Geet! Ho sake to mujhe maaf kar dena!!" [forgive me, if possible]

And a lone tear escapes from his eye.

Part 3

When geet woke up, she found herself in a stable like place. Her hands were tied at her back with an uncomfortable posture, and her mouth was tied with a tape.

Pinky was also tied too. She was conscious too but totally shaken.

Geet remembers what has happened and she got scared.

Geet's mind ran fast. She didn't know who has kidnapped them and she doesn't know what they want, but her mind told her that she should try to escape before something wrong happens to her or Pinky.

Geet's eyes fell on a piece of mirror lying nearby and an idea struck her.

She signals towards pinky about the mirror piece and pinky understood her. Pinky crawls towards the mirror and picks it up in her mouth and then crawls back towards geet. And she cuts the rope that tied geet's hands. While cutting geet felt a sudden pain in her arm.

As soon as geet got free, she opened her mouth and pinky's hands and feet.

Geet whispers to pinky "Pinky, we have to run from here."

Pinky was very scared and shaken.

Geet tried to shake her and said again as loudly as she could without letting their kidnappers know about their escape. "Pinky, are you listening to me? We have to get out of here. We have to run."

And pinky nods.

Geet was scared too but she doesn't know from where she was getting the power and energy to make an escape. Something inside told her that these people were real dangerous and that's what gave her more power.

She was more scared for pinky than for herself.

No, she wasn't scared for her life. Her life was long ago over. She was just breathing, but not really alive. Probably one of the only advantages of losing everything in life.

For her honour, probably. Nobody has touched her physically to that extent till today. She didn't know how she's gonna keep her chastity intact once she'll get married to Dev, but she has decided a long time ago, that only HE has the right on her. On her body, on her mind, on her heart, on her soul... she completely belongs to him. And she would end her life before anyone touches her, she was sure of that.

But that's a different matter. She doesn't have to worry about it right now if she'll escape from here.

So she holds pinky's hand and sneaks out of the only door in that place.

When she was at the door, a sudden feeling went across her heart. She felt like she is leaving some important part of her behind. Tears started to make their way into her eyes.

But she controlled herself and scoffed off the feeling. She thought that maybe she is thinking too much about him these days. That's why she is feeling his presence in all places!

Nobody came across their way and they reached outside. Geet thanked babaji for helping them.

When they reached out, they realised that all around was wilderness. They were probably in the middle of a jungle. They didn't even know how far away they are from the city or which way the city is.

They started running in the random direction. They ran and ran and ran until they were out of breath and couldn't move a single step forward.

They were hungry and thirsty and tired. So they both sat on a tree trunk to rest for sometime.

Geet again felt a sudden pain in her left arm. She picks up the sleeve of her top and found a very bad cut on her arm and it was bleeding badly.

Pinky felt bad that it was her fault. She had cut her arm by mistake while cutting the rope. Pinky tore her dupatta and ties it on geet's arm.

And they both decided to rest there for a while but before they could know, they fell asleep coz of tiredness.

When geet opens her eyes, she found 4 horrible faces bending on her and staring at her.

Suddenly the realisation hits her hard and she screams loudly, thus waking pinky up too.

But the goons again caught them and tied them. They took both geet and pinky back to the ruined house, from where they had escaped few hours ago. Her hell! And somehow her heaven too...

The goons throw them harshly on the floor and opened their ties.

And suddenly, she saw HIM!

Maan was walking towards Geet. Geet looked at him and the time stopped for her.

She couldn't believe that he was actually there. If this was a dream, she wished never to wake up; even if it would be her last sleep, she would take it happily.

All these years, she has waited for him. When her mind told her that he has left her and will never come back, the little part in her heart always said that she will meet him someday.

She knew babaji could not be so harsh on her...

She looked at him lovingly. Her eyes filled up with tears of happiness. Her vision became blurry due to tears but she doesn't want to blink her eyes fearing that he might vanish into thin air if she took her eyes off of him.

And she realised why her heart did not want to leave this place. Why her heart was pulling her back to this place. Because a part of her heart was in this place, in his body.

But she realised something different in him. There was something in his expression that was cold and distant. His eyes were glaring at her angrily.

Geet's heart said 'You are angry at me? What have I done? You were the one who left me without any explanation. But I forgive you. I forgive you for every moment that I have died to live without you.' She was looking at him with excessive love and affection.

But Maan didn't budge. He still glares at her and asks

"Whose plan was it to run away from here?"

She didn't care that he was shouting angrily at her. She was just so happy to hear his voice. The smooth voice that she thought she would never hear in her life again.

She was so engrossed in her happiness that she failed to understand the meaning of his words.

But Pinky answered instead and broke geet's trance.

"Mine!"

Geet looks at pinky but couldn't figure out what she was talking about.

And suddenly she saw Maan pointing his gun at Pinky.

Geet's eyes popped open in shock and fear. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Maan... her Maan... Maan that she has loved more than her life... is pointing a gun at her own sister!

And she came to her senses and said still shocked

"Maan what are you doing?"

"Just showing your loving sister the consequences of defying Maan Singh Khurana!" he said with an evil grin while looking at Pinky.

Geet saw his hand moving on to the trigger and her eyes widened. She points his gun into the air just at the moment when he fires!!

And the shot brought Geet back to reality. And she realises that it was Maan who has kidnapped them. It was Maan on whose orders they had been tied like animals.

And she realised something more. All these years, when she craved for just one sight of his face, he was right here in Mumbai, but never cared to check if she was dead or alive.

She had died in every moment but still had to keep breathing, in the hope that he'll come back. Does he know how much it hurts to smile in times when you want to cry!! Does he know what she has to go through all these years!!! Why would he????!!!!! He didn't cared at all, because he probably never have loved her.

The last realisation hurted her million times more than all those years that she has spent away from him. She felt fresh tears making way into her eyes, but only this time they signifies immense pain that she was feeling right now.

Only one word escaped from her lips "Why?" and it pierced Maan's heart into million pieces.

This was the one question that he might never be able to answer her. Because he doesn't want her to forgive him. He wanted her to hate him!

So he controlled himself and said "I'm not answerable to you Miss Geet Handa, or should I say Mrs Geet Dev Oberoi!"

He felt that his heart would explode at the pain of uttering the name of some other guy with his Geet. But he has to control himself as it was necessary for his plan.

Geet realised what he said and thought that he is doing this because he's hurt to know about her and Dev. She wanted to soothe him. She wanted to take all his pain on her.

"Dev is just my friend. I'm just getting married to him coz of my family. I was always yours, always am, and always will be. But maybe you didn't want me anymore. That's why you left me." She said it more to herself than to him and started crying.

Her tears made him feel like someone has stabbed him with a sharp knife. His whole life looked pointless to him if he cant even wipe her tears. He wanted to kill the reason for the tears in her eyes. And he knew those tears were because of him.

He sneaks his hand and picks up the knife from the nearby table and holds the sharp part of the knife in his hand harshly but that goes unnoticed by geet as she was looking at the ground engrossed in pain. The physical pain give him some relief.

But he has an act to play. He cant get weak at this moment.

So he said "You are right. I don't want you. Not like that anymore. But---" he paused while holding her chin in his hand and make her look up. He looks at her from top to bottom and said with an evil smile "I can still fulfill your physical needs." He said in a husky voice.

Geet felt like he has slapped her on her face. Maybe that would have hurted her less than his words.

Geet narrows her eyes at what he has just said.

Was that not enough that he left her in a half-dead condition for all these years? She had never able to live nor die properly. That now he is insulting her love too.

She could live with the fact that he doesn't love her but how can she live with the fact that he doesn't even respect her love? He, for whom she can leave her whole world, for whom she can even die, if he just asked for it. But she cant take this insult.

She wished she had died before hearing this from his mouth. And fresh tears made way into her eyes.

And she said "Why are you doing this Maan?" and she tugs onto his shirt and says "I love you so much. I have always loved you so much. We were so perfect together. So why did you leave me? Why Maan, why??" geet was crying her heart out.

All these years, the question that has bothered her the most at last came on her lips. All those emotions that she has hided from the world, had started to surface on her face.

She wanted her answers badly.

It took every ounce of courage for Maan to push geet away from him rudely.

Geet gets shocked the way he has pushed her and stopped crying due to momentarily shock.

And then she saw Maan's hand bleeding badly and she holds it affectionately and says with fresh tears "Maan you are hurt!"

Maan shakes his hand away from her hold and says angrily "Stay away from me Geet."

Geet wasn't bothered by his cruel behaviour. All she cared about was that he is bleeding. And she cant see him hurt like this.

Geet again holds his hand and blows on it affectionately.

Maan looks at her with pained expression and thought 'Why are you making this so hard for me Geet?' and then he controls his expressions and jerks his hand away again.

He said angrily "Don't try to play these emotional games with me Geet! Because I'm not gonna fall for them"

Geet narrows her eyes in confusion and said "Games?"

"Yes, I know you are showing this fake concern, so that I'll leave your little sister!" he looks at pinky with disgusted expression.

Geet follows his look and looks at Pinky. She still doesn't understand what he's talking about.

She said confusedly "Pinky? What has she to do in this?"

"You want to save her life for running away from here. But you might be forgetting Geet, that Maan Singh Khurana never forgives. Your sister has to pay the price for trying to run away from here!"

And he again points his gun at pinky.

Now geet realised what he was talking about and she said looking into his eyes determinedly

"It is not Pinky's fault. It was my idea to run away. I was the one who cut those ropes! If you want to kill someone, then kill me." She said with determination.

One part of her heart wishing that he should kill her. She was tired of the continuous pain in her heart. She wanted it to end. But after what she has seen today, she doubted that this pain will ever go away now. And she thought that only death can rescue her from this pain.

And what could be more amazing way to die than dying by her Maan's hands. With her Maan's face to be the last that her eyes see before closing forever. And she realised that even when thinking about being on the verge of death, she cant hate him.

There is always a thin line between love and hate. But maybe she has gone too far on the road of love that she cant find a way back. It was just not in her to hate him.

Maan looks at her and gives her an evil grin "I'm not gonna kill you! I have different plans for you..." he looks at her from top to bottom with faking lust in his eyes and said loudly to his men "Get her in my room!!!"

And he leaves from there.

Part 4

Geet realized what he has just said understanding the meaning of his words.

Her mind was screaming at her that he is not her Maan anymore. Her Maan would never say such cheap thing to her. He wanted her in his 'room'! she felt disgusted at the thought.

The love that was so pure for her, the love that was her entire life, the love which was giving her power to keep breathing in every moment; he has just scrambled that love under his feet with his words.

But still her heart was unable to hate him. Still there was something in her heart that told her that he still loves her, that he still cares for her.

Maan's men holds Geet to take her inside. Geet didn't even try to protest. She was numb with his words.

Pinky tries to save Geet but guys were stronger than pinky and they pushed her away and took Geet with them.

They pushes Geet into the room and closes the door from outside.

Meanwhile, Maan went outside to control himself. He hated himself for behaving like this with Geet.

He has promised her to always keep her happy, and what he has given her in real… tears and pain. He wished to die……..

He thinks determinedly that even dying is not gonna help right now. He can give his life to see the smile on Geet's face. But even if he dies, its only gonna give her tears.

So the only option remaining with him was to make her hate him. He was wrong when he has decided to vanish from her life thinking that one day she would forget him. He should have taken this step 5 years ago, maybe then Geet's life would have been different now.

Better now than never. If he couldn't do it 5 years ago, he will do it now.

He will stoop so low, that Geet would have no choice than hate him. He will do all those things that she has never even imagined in her dreams.

He says to himself with pain in his voice "Mujhe maaf kar dena Geet. Tum se door jaana meri majburi hai! Jitne dard aur takleef se tum guzri ho, us se kahin zyada dard se main guzra hoon Geet. Aur yeh dard, marte dam tak mere saath rahega. Lekin main tumhein dard mein nahin dekh sakta. Tumhein mujhe bhoolna hi hoga Geet"

And he closes his eyes in pain.

The tears started flowing from his eyes. His whole life flashbacked in front of his eyes.

He pretended with everyone that he is very tough and strong. But from inside, he was dying in every second. He has been living a life of crime that he has always hated himself. But then the sight of his father's dead body drenched in blood flashed in front of his eyes, and he tried to control his anger. He thought determinedly that he has chosen this life for himself and he will live it.

Geet is in the room. She doesn't know why, but she was very scared.

She loves Maan more than anything, but this is not what she wants.

She can submit herself to him in love… she belongs to him… he has full right on her… but………. Not like this!!

She was in dilemma. She didn't know what was gonna happen next or how she will react to it

But she cant imagine her love forcing himself on her. But the way he talked to her, looked like he doesn't love her at all. And he can do any bad thing without giving a second thought about it.

She closes her eyes in pain and hurt and she hears the sound of door opening.

She opens her eyes and see Maan entering into the room with an evil smile on his face. Somehow the smile looked out of place. Like it didn't belonged there.

Geet's heartbeats fastened due to fear. She didn't know why she was so scared when somewhere inside she knew that Maan would never do something like this.

But who's gonna reason with her heartbeats that were beating so loudly that she can nearly hear them. When has her heart listened to her that it would listen today??

Maan started moving towards her, she absentmindedly started moving back.

"M-M-Maan stop!" she has intended to say it firmly but her voice quivered due to fear.

Maan didn't stop. It looked like her words haven't reached his ears.

She feels the wall behind her and tries to run away from the side but Maan holds her and pushes her into the wall harshly.

She looks at him scared and with immense pain in her eyes.

Maan's expressions changed for a milli second as he saw the pain in Geet's eyes but then he controlled himself.

He locks her with his both hands on either side of her and started moving his face towards her.

Geet looked into his eyes and begged "Maan please!"

But he didn't listen. He gently touched her lips with his own and kissed her. The moment he touched her lips, an electric current passed through him.

He has forgotten the taste of her lips in the last 5 years. He has missed her so much. He forgot that he has an act to play.

The kiss was not at all out of lust, it was pure passion and love. The way his demanding lips moved on her lips, was enough to tell Geet that he was her same Maan.

And she kissed him back with exact passion and desire. She didn't realized how much she had craved for his touch.

He increased the fervor of the kiss with every second. Geet opened her mouth in front of his passion and let him enter in her mouth.

His tongue explored every part of Geet's mouth and Geet totally responded.

Geet's hands moved onto his neck and she hugged him tight towards her and gently scratched is neck.

Her touch and the sweet pain from her scratch, brought back Maan to reality. He snapped his eyes open and realized what he was doing.

Geet was still kissing him while hugging him closer to her. He realized that he cant broke the kiss as that would give his plan away.

So he reached his hands on the front of Geet's jeans and opens the button. The moment he did that, Geet came back into reality.

She broke the kiss and opens her eyes in shock. She holds his hands that were on her jean and looks at him scared.

"What happened Geet? Why are you stopping me? Isn't this what you want too??" he said with lust in his eyes.

Geet cocked her eyebrows at him unable to believe if this is still her Maan.

And he continued "Come on Geet! Didn't you said you loved me? That you want me? Or should I think that you were lying? That you love that ACP!"

Geet was speechless. She couldn't believe he was talking to her like that.

He said without any emotion on his face "Well then prove your love! Take off your clothes!!" he ordered her.

And before he knew, he felt a sharp pain on his cheek. Geet has slapped him tight on his face.

Geet couldn't take it anymore. Her patience broke with his words. He has not only hurted her immensely, but also broked all her dreams that she has holded so gently in her hands for so many years.

She was looking at him with accused tears in her eyes but didn't say anything. She was mum.

Maan looked at her and thought that he would drown in those tears but then he controlled himself.

He clenched his teeth and holds her arm angrily and said "How dare you?"

Geet winces a little at the pain when he hold her arm which was not missed by Maan. It was the same arm on which she had the cut.

Maan's expressions changed as he realized the reason for her wincing. He realized that something was wrong.

He picks her arm in front and slowly takes up the sleeve of her top, thus revealing the bleeding cut on her arm and poorly wrapped a cloth as a bandage.

Maan's eyes widened in pain. He has seen a lot of bloodshed in the last 5 years, but her blood killed him internally.

He looks at Geet with concerned expression which was not missed by Geet.

He asks her "How did this happen?" There was definitely anger building up in his voice. He was fearing that its done by one of his men. He has already started to make plans in his head for the torturous punishment to who ever that was responsible for hurting her.

Geet was always scared of his anger. She knew that he gets angry very soon. And if something is regarding her safety, his anger has no bounds. She knew her Maan cant see his Geet hurt.

Geet forgets for a second what happened between them few seconds ago. She looks at the ground and said while thinking of some excuse. "Woh…. Main…. Um… woh… uh…."

Maan's anger was increasing "Geeet! Tumne suna nahin maine kya kaha? How did this happen?"

Geet knew him. She couldn't tell him that it was pinky's fault. She knew pinky has done it by mistake. She doesn't want that the needle of his anger moves towards pinky. So she made it up

"Woh… actually… kal raat sabzi kaat te waqt lag gaya!"

And he said angrily "Geet, tum apna khayaal nahin rakh sakti ho kya? Do you even see, how badly its bleeding!! Apne bare mein naa sahi, kam se kam mere bare mein hi soch leti. Did you ever think it once, ki mujhpe kya beetegi! Now wait here, I'll get the first aid box!"

He has completely forgotten that he was there for an act. After seeing Geet hurt, he totally forgot everything. Only one thing matters for him at that moment, it was his Geet.

Geet didn't missed his concern and anger for her which told her that he still loves her and a smile came onto her lips.

He started going to get First Aid box when Geet said intensely "Itni si chot dekh kar darr gaye Maan?" he stops in his steps and realizes his actions.

"Us chot ka kya, jo tumne 5 saal pehle mere dil pe di thi?? Woh zakham, jo aaj bhi tazaa hai! Jise sirf tumhara pyaar hi bhar sakta hat"

She walks towards him and hugs him from back. Maan closes his eyes as she continued while crying "Why are you doing this Maan? You say you don't love me anymore, then why are you so concerned about me? Why are you angry at me? Please don't keep me away from you Maan, I cant live without you!! All these years only I knew how I have dragged myself in every day without you. I was just breathing, but wasn't alive. Geet have no existence without her Maan."

Part 5

Maan jerks his eyes open and pushes Geet away in a jerk and said determinedly "I don't love you Geet, aren't you getting it?!" he said while faking anger.

But Geet was not gonna take these lies anymore. She looked into his eyes determinedly and said

"Really Maan? Then why you care if I'm hurt? Why I see the pain in your eyes that's in my eyes?"

"You are mistaken Geet! I don't care if you are hurt or not! I just need you alive because I need your fianc to do my bidding!!" he said the word fianc with a disgust. He wanted to hurt Geet by taking Dev's name in between them, and also to divert her attention from the other topic.

But Geet was not gonna get diverted so easily. She has waited 5 years patiently for her answers. Nothing could stop her from getting her answers now. Not even Maan.

"So you don't care if I'm hurt or not right?" she asked him casually.

Maan was not liking the way she was talking. There was definitely something going on in her mind. But he didn't let the cold faade slip and just looked at her expressionlessly.

She takes off the poorly done bandage from her arm in one go. Before Maan could realize what she was doing, she scratched her wound harshly with her nails making it worse. She closed her eyes in pain and Maan's eyes widened in shock.

He ran towards her and shouted while holding her arm "Are you crazy Geet? Have you lost your mind??"

And he takes out his handkerchief from his pocket and tries to wrap it around her wound.

Geet snatched her hand away from his hands and stepped back, smiling knowingly at him.

Maan looked at her unbelievably.

Geet picks her hand up to show the blood dripping down from her hand and said coldly "Don't worry, I wont die! Not at least until you are in front of my eyes!! You need me alive right? Till dev does whatever you want! I promise I wont let anything happen to me till then."

Maan's mind has stopped working by looking at Geet's blood. He didn't know if he was dead or alive!!

Geet continued "But I also promise something more. The moment you'll set me free from here, that would be the last day of my life!!" she said with a taunting smile. She knew she wasn't being fair to him! She knew he cant see her hurt like this!! But he has left no other option with her… she would leave no stone unturned this time to get him back!!!!

Maan gained his senses and runs towards Geet again and holds her arm lovingly.

"Why are you doing this Geet?" he asked in pain.

"That's exactly what's my question is Maan. Why are you doing this?" she said with tears in her eyes.

And Maan realized what she has asked him and that he cant tell her that. He puts on the cold face again and said angrily

"Miss Geet Handa! If you think I'll melt with your blood, then you are wrong!! I have seen a lot of bloodshed in last 5 years. Your blood is not affecting me! But till you are here, your well-being is my responsibility!! So if you don't want me to tie you up like animals, then stop behaving like a child and hurting yourself!!!"

Maan again holds her hand and ties the hanky a little rudely but still carefully.

"And if you don't stop this nonsense, I'm afraid your little sister has to pay the price for your mistakes…" he was desperate to do anything to make sure that Geet wont hurt herself again.

Geet gets scared for a second at the mention of Pinky's name. "Pinky?"

Maan smirks coldly and said "Yes Pinky!! I need you alive not her!! So remember if you do something stupid, I wouldn't think twice before killing your little sister!!"

"Let Pinky stay out of this Maan! You know she has nothing to do with this… its between you and me!! Just leave her alone!!!"

"Don't worry Geet! I wont touch her until you behave like a mature person and stop hurting yourself!!" he has to make sure that she wont do anything reckless.

Maan didn't know that it was too late for his cold behavior. Geet has already seen through him enough to tell her that he still cares for her and loves her.

Maan was about to leave and he was at the door when Geet said in a challenging tone "Did I ever tell you Maan?" he stops in his steps "Ke tum jhooth bohat bura bolte ho!! Tum shayad bhool rahe ho Maan, ke tum kabhi mujhse jhooth bol hi nahin sakte. Because I can see through every lie of yours." She started walking towards him.

"And I promise you Maan, ke tum sach khud kabool karoge. I don't know whats going in your mind and why you are doing this" she stands facing him "but I promise you Maan ke agle ek hafte ke andar, tum khud mujhse kahoge ke tum mujhse kitna pyar karte ho!!"

"I will never say that because I don't---" he tried to say but Geet stops him in between and said "Tsk Tsk! You don't have to accept it today!! But you will!!! And that's a challenge!!"

"Keep on dreaming Geet because its just gonna hurt you in the end. Because I don't love you!!"

"We'll see about that!!!" she said in a challenging voice.

"You can sit and see whatever you want to, but I honestly don't give it a damn!" he said coldly and leaves.

Part 6

When Geet comes out, she saw Maan sitting in the corner while doing something on his laptop. He looks up at her but then gets back to his work again.

Geet frowns a little at his behaviour and then picks up her chin and goes towards pinky.

Pinky was very worried about geet. Pinky says "Geet, are you ok?"

Geet gives a look towards Maan and she could tell that his ears are towards them. His face has been lifted up a tiniest bit.

Geet says to pinky "I'm fine pinky."

Pinky gives a look towards Maan and whispers "Usne kuch kiya to nahin na?"

Geet looks at him and definitely he was listening. Geet says "No Pinky"

Suddenly pinky's eyes fell on geet's blood soaked wrist.

She almost screams "Geet your wound!!" she picks up her sleeve and sees geet's wound which was soaked in blood.

Pinky says with tears in her eyes "I'm so sorry Geet. This is all my fault!!"

Geet realised what pinky is gonna say and geet instantly gets scared. She tried to shush her but pinky said "If I had been more careful, then you wouldn't have been hurt."

Geet closed her eyes in fear. She knew she had lied to Maan about it. And she knew that he would definitely have heard it.

Geet slowly peeked towards him wishing that he hasn't heard anything. But as she looked at him all her doubts were cleared. His eyes told her everything which were throwing daggers at her..

Geet quickly looks in the front n tries to control herself. She says to pinky in a whisper "yeh le pai gaya sayappa!! Tu apna muh thodi der band nahin rakh sakti thi kya!!" and she says to herself "ek to kohr upar se khujli!! Wo pehle hi mujhse naraz hain aur ab ye sab.." she looks up and say with a cry face "babaji!!"
She again looks back at him and faked a smile but his expressions did not soften. Geet gulped down her saliva in fear.

Maan was feeling very angry. He wasn't that angry at the fact that pinky had hurted geet, but he was more angry because geet had lied to him. He thinks 'Oh, to ab Geet Handa jhoot bhi bolne lag gayi!!'

Maan closes his laptop while still looking angrily at geet and gets up from his position n geet's heart skips a beat in fear.. Geet again gulps down in fear...

Geet has always been very scared of his anger..

Maan is a kind of person, who does everything in extremes.. When he loves, there is no limit to it.. He could be the best lover in the world. Same was the case with his anger... When he's angry, there is no limit to his wrath... And geet knew that...

He started moving towards geet and geet started moving back in reflex action until she felt the wall behind her. He cornered her in no time...

He said angrily "to ab tumne jhooth bhi bolna shuru kar dia hai?"

Geet tried to be innocent and said "Maine kya jhooth bola hai Maan!?" but to her bad luck, her voice quivered giving away her brave face...

Maan holds her wrist n says "to tumko ye sabzi kat-te waqt lag gaya huh?" he said sarcastically.

Geet was thinking desperately for any excuse but her mind wasn't working well with fear.

"Wo... Main... OUCH!!!!" she fakes she got sudden pain in her hand to divert his attention.

"geet, tum thik to ho na.. I'll just get the first aid box" he said in one breath concerned n goes to get first aid box.

Geet takes a sigh of relief..

Maan had forgotten about his anger and ran to get the first aid box. He brought the box and started doing bandage on her wrist. First of all, he has to clean her wound. As soon as he puts dettol on the cotton to clean her wound, Geet saw it and her eyes widened in fear.. She was always scared of the burn of dettol on wounds...

Geet makes a brave face and says "Maan, I'm fine. I don't need the bandage." she moves her wrist n says "see!!" she tries to hide the pain from moving her wrist in 180 degrees.

Maan gave her an angry glare. He knew too well why she was fine. He knew very well that she was scared of dettol. Dettol was one of the few things in the world that geet was really scared of... She can go to any extent to escape from it...

"Geet, don't test my patience!!! Give me your hand!!!!" he ordered in a threatening voice.

Geet made a cry face and says "lekin wo jalega!"

"You should've thought about it before hurting yourself!!" he said angrily. He was still mad at her for hurting herself inside.

Geet was cursing herself in her mind for faking pain few minutes ago.. She thought it would have been better to face his anger than this...

She tried once again "but ab main theek hoon.. I don't need it!!"

"GEEET!!!" he said angrily...

Geet was on the verge of crying... She pleads faking a cry voice "Maan please."

But when she saw that he's not melting, she said faking anger "Fine!!! I'll do it by myself! Give it to me" she holds her better hand out asking for the cotton while holding her wounded hand as close as she can to her chest to keep that cotton as far as possible from her wound. She said in her mind 'sorry Maan, but that thing is not coming anywhere near my wound!!'

Maan could sense her plan. He very well knew that she is never gonna do it by herself.. Some little things that you know about a person when you have spent almost whole of your life with them...

"Geet just shut up and give me your hand!!" he ordered.

"Fine! On one condition I'll let u do it!" she paused for Maan to say something but he just stood there looking at her trying to guess her next move.

So she continued "you'll have to accept that u still love me.." geet knew that he's not gonna accept it this easily, but what's the harm in trying!! If he accepts, she wins, and if he doesn't, even then she wins...

Her words put on his guard instantly "Geet stop dreaming about something that's never gonna happen!"

"Alright! Then you also forget it!! That thing is not coming anywhere near me!!!"

Maan was loosing his patience "geet, I'm asking you for the last time" geet's heart skipped a beat in fear at his dangerous tone "Are you gonna give me your hand or not?"

"I don't have any problem! But you have to ask my parents for my hand" the words escaped her mouth before she could stop herself.

She realized what she has said way after when the damage has been done. He was already very angry, and she was just putting oil to the fire. She puts a hand on her mouth from the aftermath of her realization.

Maan had had enough. He knew geet was not gonna give in like this. He holds her hand forcefully and jerks his hand in the front.

"ouch!!" a hiss escaped from her mouth with pain from his harsh pull.

Maan realized that he has pulled her hand a little more harshly n loosens his grip. Geet realizes his loosed grip n decides to use it in her own benefit. She says faking crying "Maan please, kis janam ka badla le rahe hain mujhse!! First u left me like this 5 years ago, u know how much it has hurted me..."

Maan looked away and Maan's expressions changes a little bit n it wasn't missed by geet. Geet continued "You know how much I've cried for u...how much I've craved for u" maan's expressions showed a hint of pain "but why would you care?!! You always did whatever you wanted... You promised me to keep me happy n this was what u have given me!!"

Geet knew she wasn't being fair but she was desperate. She couldn't think of any other way to divert his attention, and it was helping her in 2 ways.. He looked like he was melting and it also looked like he'll give in to her request of not putting dettol on her wound.

She continued "and after 5 yrs I see u, and you can't even agree to my small request!!!" maan looked at her momentarily confused about what she is asking for..

"You can't even give me a small thing for the sake of all the happy times we spent together!!!" she makes a baby face.

She knew she was almost there!! "please Maan" she tried begging with her eyes "please let me do the bandage!!"

Maan's expressions changed at her words. He narrows his eyes at her plan "is se bachne ke liye kuch bhi karogi na geet?! Tum bilkul nahin badli!!"

"I never said that I have changed!" she said with seriousness "main to aaj bhi aapse bohat pyar karti hoon Maan!! You are the one who's keep on saying that you have changed!!!" Maan didn't reply and looked away.

Geet says "waise ek baat batayiye Maan, you say that you don't love me now, so why do you care if I'm hurt or not?? Why are you so hell bent upon dressing my wound?? Why don't u just let it be???"

Maan said trying controlling himself and faking distance in his voice "geet I don't have a whole day for u.. Bakwas band karo aur chup chap baithi raho!!"

"I didn't knew that u have done a medical degree in these past years!!" she said with curiosity.

"What?" Maan said confused.

"Mr. Maan Singh Khurana I won't let you touch my wound.. Only a qualified doctor can touch it!!" she said with her chin up..

"Geet stop it!! Just stop it!! Stop irritating me!! And I don't need a medical degree to dress a wound.. I have dressed worse wounds than this on my own"

"Well I'm sure u have.. But u can't do mine!!! I don't give you permission to dress my wound without a medical degree!" she said stubbornly.

"Well too bad but I'm not asking for your permission"

"Well you have to!! As u r already denying to be my boyfriend or my fiance, which you were in the past, So technically you don't have any right on me anymore.. So you need my permission before touching me!!!"

Maan smirks at her tactics "maybe you are forgetting that you have been kidnapped! And as your kidnapper, I have all rights on you!!" he said while examining her hand.

Geet felt hurt by his words.. So this was the relation that remained between them.. Kidnapper n the kidnapee??!!!

Maan was expecting her to argue with him. He didn't thought that his little remark would hurt her like this. He has said it just like that!!

He said "ab kuch nahin bolog--" he looked at her and stopped right there.

When he looked into her eyes he saw tears making way into those beautiful hazel eyes... He felt a sudden pain in his heart and felt like someone has stabbed him... He wanted to say something... He wanted to console her... He wanted to wipe her tears.. He wanted to apologize at her feet for making her cry...

But he remained mum n stood there looking into those beautiful tear-filled accusing eyes.

When he didn't say anything, geet felt more hurt n gave her hand in the front.

Maan didn't say anything and started cleaning her wound. He was expecting her to scream with the touch of the cotton ball, but when she didn't make a noise, he looked up into her eyes..and all he saw was pain and hurt, which was not physical..

Geet was too much hurted with his words that she didn't felt the physical pain..

So this is all he thinks of her now?? Just someone who he has kidnapped!! If he wants to be just a kidnapper, then kidnapper it is!! He has to accept that he was wrong and there's much more between them than the relation of kidnapper n kidnappee!!

Geet didn't say a word neither even winces in pain...

When Maan was done, he was about to walk away, when geet said "I'm hungry! CAN I eat?" she stressed at 'can'.

She wasn't really hungry but she wanted to tell him how much he has hurted her with his little remark. So she wanted to show him the authority he has on her as her kidnapper!!!

And she was successful with her little remark.. Maan felt someone has stabbed him as she asks his permission to eat!! He never wanted to see geet this submissive to him like this.. Like a slave...

He looked away to hide his pain and just said "hmm" before leaving from there...

Now geet felt very bad.. She knew she has hurted him with her little remark... She didn't knew why she did it...

In the last 5 yrs, she has always been a very good girl. Never said anything that could have hurted anybody even unintentionally.. Always taken the pain on herself, but never let anybody see even a milli fraction of it... Then why couldn't she take the pain today... Why did she hurt him in return.. When he was the reason for her still breathing... She cud take all the pain from his life and give him happiness in return...

She felt terrible at what she did!!! So she decided to do the damage control...

In few minutes, all her favourite dishes were put in front of her... As she looked at her favourite dishes, she thought 'chalo, itna to yaad hai unhein! Ke mujhe kya pasand tha!!' but she makes a face and says loudly "what is this???"

Maan looked at her who was again working on his laptop few feet away from her.

Geet continued "I can't eat all this oily food!!!!"

Maan frowns at her and thinks 'since when have you started eating healthy!!'

Geet continues while taking a sneek peak towards Maan "I want to eat Italian food!!" she said like it's her right to get whatever she wants, hoping Maan to forget about her previous remark..

Maan narrows his eyes on her and says "since when have u started liking Italian???" Italian was Maan's favourite food.. Geet has never liked it before.. Whenever he has asked her to try Italian food, she had made fun of Italian food...

Geet says playfully "since someone told me that it's healthy!!"

And geet was right.. She has started doing everything in the last 5 yrs that he has ever asked her to do but she hasn't done at that time...the things that reminds her of his presence with her...

Maan looks back at his laptop n said "Geet chup chap kha lo, I know u like it."

"Maan waise how do u know I like it?" geet said playfully. She wanted him to accept that he remembers those old days...

Maan realised her playful tone and decides not to answer her.

When he didn't say anything, geet said "waise aap ko ye yaad hai ki mujhe kya achha lagta hai, then u must remember this too that I can't eat alone.." she said expectantly.

Maan said without looking up from his laptop "pinky, geet ko company dedo!"

Pinky was already very hungry. She instantly gets up and comes sits on the table and started eating it quickly. Geet looked at pinky with disgusting face as pinky ate like pigs. Geet couldn't believe that she is her real sister...

In few minutes, pinky has eaten almost everything and just some rice were left that was in geet's plate n geet hasn't even touched anything. She was just looking at her animal sister who looked like a human!!!!

Pinky said with her mouth full of food "arre Geet, kha na!! Khana bohat achcha hai!!!!"

Geet said while controlling her disgust "nahin pinky, tu kha!!! Bohat saalon se tune khaya nahin hai na!!??" and she gives pinky her own plate and says "ye le, ye bhi thoos le!!!!" and she gets up and gives a glare towards Maan, who was looking at her enjoying himself, and walks out.

She goes into the balcony feeling angry and embarrassed at the same time. What did she wanted!!?? Just to eat with Maan after so many years!!! Was that too much to ask for???

Suddenly she felt someone's presence behind her, and she knew it was Maan without looking at him...

She heard him say "Geet, chalo khana kha lo!"

She said without looking at him "I don't want to eat!"

"Geet, you haven't eaten anything since yesterday... You'll get sick!! Come! Eat something" he said sweetly. He couldn't see geet hungry.

"I told you I don't want to eat!! You go do your important work!! Why are you wasting your time on me!!!" she said angrily

He holds her upper arm and twirls her back to face him with a jerk. Geet gasps with a sudden pull as she bumps into his chest. She saw anger visible in his eyes.

He said angrily "Geet, is it necessary to argue with me on everything??? Why can't you be a little easy once for a change!!! Now eat this!!" he said and geet saw food plate in his other hand.

Geet was a bit hungry now but not as much that she can't wait for some time. "I told u I don't like this food anymore.." she said as a matter of factly.

"Geet don't lie! I know you love Punjabi food!!! Now be a nice girl and come eat it!"

"You already know I can't eat alone!"

"Oh really! Then why didn't u eat with pinky?" he said with mischief in his eyes..

"I can't eat with pinky, u know that!! She eats like a pig, I feel like throwing up when I see her eating!!!" It was true. She could never eat with pinky.. Maan knew that!

"Fine! I'll eat with you!!" Maan said.

Geet looked at him surprised. She couldn't believe her ears that he is actually telling her that he will eat with her.. She thinks 'Chalo! Kuch to progress hui!!'

"Come sit!" he sits on the chair signalling geet to sit in the chair next to his.

"But u never eat punjabi food!" geet said realising suddenly that Maan was maybe lying to her. She knew Maan never ate punjabi food. She still remembered his long lectures to her about how this food is full of oil and ghee and it's unhealthy and how she should also starts eating healthy food with him...

She hasn't forgotten anything.. Anything and everything that he ever said to her, was the only memories that has kept her alive for all these years...

"It's ok Geet! I don't mind punjabi food anymore!!"

Geet couldn't believe it! Maan and punjabi food!!! She thought she's definitely dreaming now. She pinched herself harshly on her arm and cries in pain. So this was real...

Maan saw her pinching herself out of nowhere and when she cries in pain, he rubs her arm where she has pinched. "Geet what's wrong with u?" he said while still rubbing it.

"I thought I was dreaming!" she said innocently.

Maan broke into laughter all of a sudden. Geet looked at him lovingly. For her, it was the most melodious sound in the whole world. How much she has missed his laughter!!!

Maan said in between his laugh "you thought you were dreaming??"

"ab agar december mein barish hogi, to main to aisa hi samjhungi na!" she said faking anger. She was too happy right now that she didn't want to ruin the moment by saying anything serious.. For the first time today, Maan has put down his guard and laughed with her. She wanted to keep the mood light. So she was faking anger to show that she has felt offended with his teasing.

"December mein barish?" he said confused.

"haan, ab agar dunia ke sabse bade akroo insaan, aasani se meri baat maan jaayenge, to wo to december mein barish hone se bhi zyada shocking news hai na!!" she said teasingly while peeking glances at him to see the effect of her words.

"Geeet, tumne mujhe akroo kaha?" he said angrily.

"Kiyun, aap ko koi shak hai?" she said innocently.

He was gonna say something but then resigns. He rolls his eyes n says "Geet, tumse to na, baat karna hi bekaar hai! Ab jaldi se khana khaa lo, warna tumhari bhukhar behen ye bhi kha jaayegi!" he says smiling.

Geet slaps on his arm faking anger "Maan! She's my sister!"

"To maine kab inkaar kiya.. After all khane ke maamle mein, tumhi pe to gayi hai" he said teasingly.

Geet's mouth fell open in shock. "So u mean main bohat zyada khati hoon?"

"Ye maine nahi tumne kaha hai!" he said enjoying himself.

Geet opens her mouth to say something but couldn't think of anything and closes frustratingly making a baby face "aap na, mujhse baat mat kariye!!" she stands up and turns her back on him angrily.

Both of them have forgotten about their present situation and have just become the same Maan and Geet that they were 5 yrs ago.. Sweet, adorable, cute, and perfect couple...

Maan stands up and turns her to face him. He holds his ears n says "ok baba, I'm sorry! Ab khana kha lein. Mujhe bhi bohat bhookh lagi hai!!"

Geet smiles and nods.

Both of them sits. Maan feeds a first bite to Geet which she happily eats. And then geet feeds Maan. They eat the whole food like that while feeding each other...

Suddenly one of Maan's men came and says "boss, ACP has decided to leave yash n raju!"

The words brought both Maan n geet to reality. In a second, Maan's expressions changes to distant and cold a he says "Hmm." n he's about to leave when geet says "Maan!" he stops in his steps.

Geet continues "why did this happened Maan??!! We were so perfect together, then what went wrong??? Hamare saath hi aisa kiyun hua Maan??"

Maan closes his eyes in pain and says "Kaash is sawaal ka jawaab mere paas hota Geet! Kaash!!!" and he leaves.

Part 7

Geet was being very restless. She was afraid that now Maan is gonna free her as dev is leaving his men. So what is she gonna do now?

Only if she could've got a little bit more time, she would make him admit that he loves her too.

She curses dev and said to herself "Ye dev bhi na, jab itne din ruk gaya tha, to chaar din aur nahin ruk sakta tha kya? Kya zaroorat thi, itni jaldi Maan ki baat maan-ne ki? Babaji! Why is everybody hell bent upon ruining my happiness?! Kiyun logo se meri khushi bardasht nahin hoti hai?" she said while tears started stinging her eyes but she controls herself and said

"No Geet, you don't have time to waste on crying. You cant give up!!! Maana ke time bohat kam hai, but you just have to fight harder!! You cant accept defeat before even fighting."

And she continues with determination "I will fight! I will fight till the last breath! I will fight for my love!! I will fight for my life!!! Yes Maan, you cant make me leave you this time without my consent. And I will never leave you until my last breath."

And she goes inside with determination.

She saw him working on his laptop again but she knew that he was aware of her presence.

She goes and sits in front of him. She knew that he knew that she was sitting in front of him but didn't pick up his eyes from the screen.

Geet puts her elbow on the table and rests her face on her hand while looking at Maan lovingly.

After few seconds, Maan said without picking up his gaze from the laptop "Kuch chahiye Geet?"

She didn't reply and just kept on looking at him with loving eyes.

When Geet didn't reply, Maan looks up at her and says a bit loudly "Geet!"

Geet says lovingly "Haan ji?"

Maan looks away confusedly. He was expecting Geet to give tantrums by now that she is not gonna leave him, as she has heard that dev has decided to leave yash and raju. So she would know that she has to leave now.

Maan himself didn't want Geet to leave, but he knew that this was best for her. The mistake that he has made by crossing her life again, he couldn't change that; but he can still try to rectify it by freeing Geet to live her life without him.

But Geet's cool behaviour was confusing him. He wondered what was cooking up in her mind.

He asks "Aise kya dekh rahi ho Geet?" and he quickly mends his question realising what might Geet answer to this "Do you need something?"

Geet just nods yes.

Maan looked at her and waited for her to say something more.

Geet says while looking down and blushing "I need to take a shower."

Maan didn't understand why Geet is blushing! What is there to be shy to take a shower??!!

Geet was leaving him more and more confused with her every gesture.

He said "Umm... sure! You can use my washroom!!"

Geet nods while still blushing. She was feeling too shy about her next plan.

She goes to Pinky and says something in her ear while Maan observed her every move. Then she takes one of the shopping bags that they have bought before Maan's men brought them here.

When at the door of the room, Geet stops and slowly looks back at Maan while her cheeks were red with blushing. And she looks down while shying and her lips quivered a little. And she went inside.

Now Maan was seriously curious about Geet's behaviour. It was very rare that Geet behaved like this. She used to blush a lot in the earlier days of their dating when Maan used to kiss her or touch her, but that was because he knew she wasn't open romantically at that time and those moments used to be extra romantic. But why is she blushing today???

She isn't just blushing blushing, she is turning all red by just looking at him. What is she upto now?!

Geet went to the washroom and tried to control herself. Her heart was beating erratically in her chest and hands were becoming numb. She gets into the shower but the warm water just increased her heart beats.

She was feeling too shy thinking of what she is planning to do. But she doesn't have any time left for her other plans and she knew that if her this plan gets successful, Maan will never be able to send her away.

She tried to calm herself saying that she is doing this just for Maan and herself. Because the truth was that she cant live without him anymore. Even the lifeless life that she was living from last 5 years, seems impossible for her now. The only way that she knew she would survive was with Maan.

She knew Maan loved her. No matter what he tries to show her, but she knew otherwise. He cant lie to her. She can still see that love and care for her in his eyes even if he tries to hide it behind his cold face. She knows that he was still her Maan that loved her alot.

So what was there to shy! She knew that only he has the right on her, so why wasn't she able to look into her own reflection in the mirror? She hides her face in her hands while smiling to herself.

She peeked through her fingers to her reflection in the mirror and for a second she felt so shy that she thought of changing back into her old clothes.

But then she snaps at herself

"Geet stop it! There's nothing to get so shy!!! It is just gonna be Maan!!! Maan se kaisi sharam?? When u know, that only he has the full right on you!!! So what is there to shy about to give him what is rightfully already his!!! Control your heartbeats geet!!! You have to seduce him today if you want him in your life!!! Samjhi???!!!" she scolds herself and says "Ab chup chaap bahar chal, aur khabardaar agar tune peechhe hatne k bare mein socha bhi to!!!"

She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath and goes towards the door.

But as she reached the door, blush washed through her. She tried a lot to control her erratic heartbeats but in vain...

At last she gave up and went out. As she stepped out of the washroom, her heart skipped a beat. Maan was standing in front of her.

She wanted Maan to be here but wasn't expecting him to be here... Somewhere in her mind, she was hoping of getting little more time to control herself before Maan sees her in these clothes...

Maan was getting worried because it has been more than half an hour since geet has gone to take a shower. So he came inside to check on her...

He went near the washroom door, and as he was gonna knock the door, the door opened and his heart skipped a beat at the sight...

Geet was wearing a sexy lingerie, which made his eyes widens. Her hair was wet with her locks falling onto her face. Maan looked at her from top to bottom while his heartbeats fastened. Geet was looking too sexy to resist...

Geet looked down while her cheeks turning bright red. All her plans of seducing Maan went down the drain with seeing Maan checking her out.

Her chest heaved up n down vigorously making her more irresistible, if that was possible!

She didn't know how to react... She has never done anything like this in her whole life, so she was clueless how to seduce someone. So she decided to settle down with flushed and self-conscious rite now...

She was totally unaware of the turmoil of emotions she was stirring in Maan...

Maan was in a daze... His throat was getting dry... He wanted to touch her... He wanted to feel her... He wanted to kiss her breathless till eternity... He wanted to love her... He wanted to loose himself in her...

Absentmindedly, he slowly picks up his hand towards geet and geet looked down while feeling shy. He gently puts her locks of hair at the back of her ear and strokes her face with his hand...

"Maan..." Geet whispered his name and closed her eyes in anticipation... Maan moved his hand slowly towards her lips and gently strokes her lips with his thumb.. Geet's lips quivered under his touch...

He moves closer to geet covering the little gap between them and gently takes her lips in his...

An electric current passed through them as their lips met...

His mouth was not gentle on hers; there was a brand new edge of hunger and eagerness the way his lips moved against hers. He kissed her harder and harder like it was the last time while his hands moving all over her body. They were too engrossed into each other, that they didn't realised when they landed up on the bed...

Geet broke the kiss to breathe but his lips didn't leave her skin... His lips moved down towards her neck leaving wet kisses all around while burning her skin with his touch...

Maan didn't know what has gotten into him but he knew he couldn't stop. The desire to have her was burning him inside.

His mouth was all over her but still he couldn't get enough of her. Geet moaned in desire as his mouth explores her body.

Geet's mind was blank with heat and passion... She wished that the time stops and she could be in his arms forever... She wanted him to touch her... She wanted him to hold her... She wanted him to love her... But more than that, she wanted to touch him...

Her hands trembled to the front of his shirt and opened the top buttons of his shirt... Her little act brought Maan back to his senses. And he realised what he was doing...

Suddenly geet felt his body weight lifting up from top of her... She opens her eyes while breathing heavily and found him lying on the side with closed eyes trying to control himself...

It has took every ounce of his control to come back to his senses and moves away from her... He thinks 'I couldn't do this... It is wrong... Then why does it feel so right... Stop it Maan! Control yourself!!! How can u even think of crossing this line?!!!! You can't ruin Geet's life!!!!'

Geet touched his face gently while breathing heavily n mumbled "Maan..."

Maan instantly gets up from the bed with determination and is about to leave, but geet holds his hand.

Geet says in a little voice "Mujhe chhod ke mat jayiye Maan!!"

Maan closes his eyes to fight the pain and said "Leave my hand geet!"

Geet just looks at him while tears starting to sting her eyes at the failure of her plan, but didn't leave his hand.

Maan glares at Geet angrily and spat the words sarcastically at her "Geet, I didn't knew you were so desperate to sleep with me!!"

His words broke her into million pieces. The tears easily made their way into her eyes..

The tears in Geet's eyes shattered Maan into million pieces... But he knew he can't console her!!!

She is gonna leave tomorrow, and it's better for her if she leaves with hatred for him in her heart...

Geet didn't say anything. Embarrassment was too big for her to say something. She made herself so vulnerable to him and he doesn't even leave any chance of breaking her...

She felt anger at herself for being so weak in front of him. Is it such a big mistake wanting to be with someone you love???

No!! She will not let him win this time by hurting her!!! She will not let his words affect her!!! Because if he wins today, she will lose him forever...

She fought back her tears and gets up and says angrily "kiyun Maan, aap bhi to yehi chahte the na?? So here I am. Giving myself to you!!" and she moves her hand to take off the strap of her brassiere but he holds her hands with his both hands and pin them down.

"Geeet!!!!" he looked at her with anger and frustration. It was getting too hard for him to control himself, he walks out. He stops at the door and says without looking back at her "You are leaving tomorrow!"

And he leaves the room without another word.

Geet sat down while her heart still thumping too hard in anger. But soon another emotion took over the anger. Rejection!!!

Tears rolled down her cheeks as rejection washed through her. She felt embarrassed and humiliated. She felt unwanted...

He doesn't want her!!! And she is like cheap fluzy throwing herself on him. He hates her now, that is the reason why he doesn't want her with him...

She sat there crying for many minutes in humiliation. Her mind wasn't thinking straight in her present condition. She has never made herself so vulnerable in front of anybody before, so the pain of breaking was making her better thinking numb.

She determinedly wipes her tears and says to herself "Geet! Stop throwing yourself on him!!! He doesn't want you!!!"

Maan goes out to breathe...

It was too hard for Maan to control himself!!! What the hell he was doing inside??!!

He strokes his hand through his hair in frustration. Geet was giving herself because she loves him a lot and still hopes to be with him but he... he should've controlled himself when he knows the truth that he's gonna succumb all her hopes under his feet very soon!!!

They are not meant to be together... At least not anymore... He hits his fist on the wall in frustration and anger!!!

After some time, when he was able to control himself somewhat, he goes to the room to check on geet thinking that she might be asleep by now...

As he entered the room quietly, he found the bed empty. He looked around the room, but the room was empty too.

He knocks at the washroom, but no answer!!! He opens the door and the washroom was also deserted...

He was about to go outside when his eyes fell on a piece of paper on the bed.

His heart started sinking as he picked up the paper. He opens the letter and found Geet's handwriting on it...

Part 8

LETTER

I'm sorry maan... I'm sorry for putting u in such a condition today... I'm sorry for throwing myself on you... I'm sorry for hoping that you still love me... I'm sorry for dreaming to be with you... I'm sorry if I can't forget you even after death... I'm sorry that I can't live without you...

I thought that you also loved me... I thought that our love is still alive somewhere in your heart... But didn't know that I was fighting a lost cause... My failure was inevitable, but still I fought... maybe I wanted to see how badly I loose...I'm sorry if it took me so long to realise this...

But don't worry, I have realised now.. that you don't want me... Don't worry I won't bother you ever again... You will never see my face ever again... I'm sorry I'm giving up but don't have the strength anymore to put the pieces of my heart together... So I'm leaving Maan...

By the time you'll be reading this, I would have probably gone too far away from you, so don't bother to look for me... I can't go back Maan because I don't think if I'll be able to go to that same lifeless life that you left me in 5 years ago... I don't think I have the strength left in me to live without you... So I'm choosing to finish that pain forever...

Maan's heart sank as he read the letter. The ink on the paper was spread and he knew that Geet must have been crying while writing this.

Fresh drops of water touched the paper and Maan wipes the tears from his cheeks.

He ran outside quickly realising how less time he has. His heart was already sinking at the thought of him being already late.

He quickly grabbed the first man that he saw and yelled angrily "Where is Geet?"

His man said stuttering fearfully "She has gone boss!"

Maan felt like killing the man in front of him who has let Geet go...

He said angrily "What??!! Why did you let her go??? Why didn't you stopped her???"

Now the guy is trembling with fear. He said "But sir, you ordered us not to say anything to her!! You instructed us that no matter what, nobody will touch her!! Nobody will stop her from doing anything she wants to do!!!"

Maan strokes his fingers through his hair frustratingly and ran out. He doesn't have time to get into any kind of conversation with anybody...

He was scared. He was petrified. His heart thumping very loudly in his chest in fear...

What if he gets late?? What if Geet does something stupid before he finds her???

He looks around desperately to which direction she might have gone...

He ran desperately in the random direction while tears flowing from his eyes at the thought of loosing Geet...

He realised how wrong he was!!! He shouldn't have behaved like that with her!!! She loves him so much and he... he has just given her pain!!! He didn't deserved her but still she loved him... He decided determinedly that he will beg forgiveness at her feet once he will find her!!! He will never hurt her again in his life!!! He will do whatever she wants!!! Her happiness would be the first priority for him from now onwards!!! He will leave everything for her!!! He will love her so much that even the word 'love' would look smaller in front of it!!! Maybe, just maybe, then, she will be able to forgive him...

As the time passed, his fear is increasing. He couldn't even think about the possibility of loosing Geet forever. He felt like there is nothing in the world that matters without Geet.

She is the sole reason for him breathing... Her memories have been his sole companion that has kept him breathing for all these years.

He was still running looking around for any sign of his life...

But the forest was really dense and he couldn't see her anywhere.

But the forest was not only dense, it was dangerous too. There were thousands of dangerous animals in the forest that would rip anybody into pieces if came across.

He was in immense pain at the thought of loosing Geet. For the second time in his life, he felt so helpless. The pain was too much for him to bear... He was dying in every second for thinking about the worse. No matter how hard he was trying to console himself that nothing will happen to her, the ominous feeling was engulfing his heart.

He knew he can't live in the world in which Geet doesn't exist. He can't breathe in the air which hasn't got the touch of her life...

He still looked around desperately for Geet. His heart sinking but he couldn't stop looking for her.. He will never stop looking for her till his last breath... Because he knew now that without her, there is no life for him... The only way that he would survive is with Geet...

Suddenly his eyes fell on a white duppatta flying in the wind near a tree.

He ran desperately towards it and saw Geet sitting at the foot of the tree while leaning her back on the trunk.

He screamed "Geet!!" while tears of relief flowed from his eyes.

Geet looked back at him blankly.

Maan ran towards her and hugged her tightly while his tears weren't ready to stop!! Only he knew that he was hugging his life... Only he knew what he has to go through in the last half an hour...

The relief of seeing Geet unharmed was too soothing for him... He promised himself that he will never put her in such a condition ever again...

After few minutes, or a lifetime, he broke the hug, but didn't leave her. He was still too scared to let go of her from his arms.

He held her from her shoulders and said looking into her eyes "Geet, don't you ever do this to me again!!! I can't live without you Geet! You have no idea what I had to go through in this time!! I have died in each second thinking that I have lost you forever!!! You wanted me to confess that I love you right? Then yes, I love you Geet! I love you more than my life!! I've always loved you!! There was not even a single moment in my life when I haven't loved you!!! Happy?? Now don't even try to think of leaving me ever again!!! I'm so sorry Geet for hurting you... I promise I will never hurt you again!!!"

Geet was looking at him blankly... There was no emotion on her face or eyes...

Maan kissed her on her mouth. There were so many emotions in his kiss...relief.. happiness.. love.. care.. regret.. sorry.. But from Geet's side, there was nothing...

When he didn't got any response from her, he broke the kiss and looked at her confusedly.

Geet was still looking at him blankly.

He felt something ominous about her behaviour...

He frowned confusedly as Geet's eyes started closing.

And before he could comprehend anything, she collapses in his arms...

Maan didn't know what was happening but suddenly his world freezes as his eyes fell on her hand...

Her wrist was sliced harshly and was bleeding immensely!!!!

Maan didn't know what happened to him!! It was like the time stopped for him!!! He didn't know if he was dead or alive!!!

One part of his brain was active and knew everything that was happening around him... While another part was slowly dying...

He realised yet he didn't realised, when he picked up her lifeless body in his arms... He was aware yet he wasn't aware, when he ran back while carrying her in his arms... He knew yet he didn't knew, when he put her in the car and drove towards the hospital madly... He was conscious yet he wasn't conscious, when he threatened the doctor to save her life if he wants to live...

The huge team of doctors were examining Geet but she was not responding to any treatment. It was like her will-power to live has died!!

She had a huge blood loss and her condition was very critical.

Every second was a death for Maan as he waited outside the ICU. His whole life was flashing in front of his eyes. They say that your life flashes in front of your eyes when you are on the verge of death...

It was true for Maan!! It was not only Geet who was nearing her death inside, but also Maan outside who was leaving the essense of life bit by bit...

He would not breathe a single breath of this life if geet left this world.. he knew that... Their lives and death were joined together without even their knowledge!! She live, he live; she die, there's not even a slightest chance that he will still live...

Maan was leaning his head on the wall while deep in thought when the doctors come out of the ICU with tensed expressions.

He instantly gets up and asks "Doctor, how is she?" The pain in his voice even made the doctors worried and sad.

They looked at each others' face and said "We are very sorry Mr. Maan, but she is still in a very critical condition! She had a huge blood loss and she's not even responding to any medicines!! It's like she don't want to live!!! We did what we could do... But now everything is upto God and if she responds to the treatment!!! If in the next 24 hours, she didn't get conscious, then we are sorry we will loose her!!!!"

Maan stumbles back at his last words.. His mind became totally blank as a lone tear escaped from his drought-filled eyes.. He didn't realized for how long the tears have been holding in, but at last they made their way out...

The doctor continued seeing Maan's state "You can see her if you want!!!"

Maan didn't say anything but his legs mechanically stumbles towards her room slowly.

He opens the door and went inside. He walked towards her bed and sat at the hospital stool near her bed's head.

He couldn't bear the sight of Geet laying there lifeless. His Geet, that used to be so bubbly, so full of life, so full of laughter, was lying here today in a half dead condition.
