That said, hmmm... my comment in itself was perhaps a complaint on an unconscious level (since it was typed pretty fast without giving it much thought), maybe since on a Maan-Geet story, dissociation from romance always seems an impossibility. The names Maan and Geet have risen to create a charisma and an image of their own and good writers here feel it's a baggage at times.

Still, my entire comment was a compliment, albeit a grudging one 😆.Having read countless FFs here, only two people so far have managed to totally hoodwink my anticipation of the plot, while still managing to sustain my interest- one's Devi and the other's you. In your case, often I am not even sure whether there's a plot 😆

Needless to say, your story is different, well planned out (like I just said, whether there's a plan or you are Maan in action with scraps of perceptions of reality thrown in to us mere mortals is another question... hehe, which is even more intriguing) and seems to have a destination I can't surmise.

It's so meticulately done, that I try as much to not think on your updates and just take it as a story since thinking will do me no good. As for the romance quotient... the way you have constructed the romance sort of puts me at loggerheads with myself.

At one extreme I feel the Maaneet relationship is the strongest ever I have ever seen. In Dev's words, it's telepathic between themselves and beyond my petty understanding (which is not a very assuring thought... it's a missile onto my ego 😆) and then I feel... what really is there between Maaneet beyond the teacher-student relationship or the boss-secretary one? A kiss, a hug, some lust...? Is there real love? Then again I need to remind myself of Maan trying to be a better man for Geet's sake. Is that love? This sort of to and fro-s keep happening each time I read an update.

So, well... my comment was born out of that perplexity in myself regarding evaluating the Maaneet relationship. Ofcourse as I said, the story's bewitching and I'm sure you don't want me to go on and on on that aspect. And yes, I know, I need to stop heating the coils of my brain.. hehe.

And no, I don't expect you to modify your writing to accommodate our opinion. You are the creator and it's your baby. We may accept it if it suits us or move on. After all, like you said, it's read-only and does not need to be TRP-friendly 😆

P.S. I've loved your Maan (that all of us love Geet here is a given) here because of rather than inspite of his flaws. Always felt the Maan onscreen was powdered up too much as the show progressed taking off his real essence. So, all's good girl! Happy writing!
