Mohindar shocked. He dint expect this. He said he needs time to think as geet was small and not mentally prepared for any relation yet. But slowly his mind was turning to accept this proposal. He also started liking them and trusting. He thought who helps a stranger in this world, that too in critical time. He made his mind to agree. Geet was very small and naive to understand anything and also she was still not fully recovered with past. So mohindar thought it would be good for geet also that she would live here, whom she knew and liked.
Mohindar accepted proposal but with one condition that geet should not know about all this until boy come. He dint want to take geet any stress thinking about her would be husband. When boy will come he would make her understand and agree. now it was decided that no outer person should know all this marriage things. Once boy will come they will do their marriage. But for his bad luck, in few days everyone came to know that geet was her would be daughter in law
Geet was 18 now. she was fully recovered. Her bubbly and child nature came out like before. Mohindar loved her so much as she was his only family. Till then mohindar also saved some money for her future. one day he was returning from hospital when he heard some talk about same family. Some local people were talking about a man who s name was same of boy . He was Raghav. What mohindar heard was enough to shake him from core. He came to know that raghav was not any nri businessman , but a local gang leader, who was in jail now, in case of rape. Mohindar mind went blank. He run to home and looked for geet.
Geet was sitting with lady. Mohindar tried to be normal in front of her(lady). He dint want to make her alert about what he knew. Now he decided to find out about all her plan. He started to spy over them, but with great cautions. finally he came to know that couple wanted to make a innocent girl their daughter in law , because they and their criminal son can use her and mold her with their own wish. Because no any good family would give their daughter to a criminal boy. And geet was perfect for this. Also mohindar was new there so he could not able to do anything much to save her, as all area was afraid of raghav. so he and geet was perfect prey for them.
So now mohindar had to take a major step to save geet and self. He made a plan. He mixed sleeping pills in dinner and let them eat. Geet always used to eat before all. So it was not difficult for mohindar to make them in deep sleep except geet. When couple slept with effect of pills, mohindar with geet run from there, in darkness of night.
With time passed, mohindar started their new life in a far place of Shimla. He had some money, which he used to make his house and also started his practice for living. Its been three years, mohindar almost forgot past incident so was geet. She mixed in this new environment freely. They made their own small happy world here, until today.
Flashback End
So now maan knew everything about them. He looked geet who was cuddling, sleeping under duvet like a scared baby. He went and sit near her. Looked her with great concentration. It was mid night. Meera dint come because of all that hassle. Her face was pale but still fresh. Now maan understood why she afraid this much of violent. He felt a light pinch in his hear thinking about her. Unknowingly he thanked mohindar to keep her save from those devil. What if , he would not have saved her... he could not think ahead.
He raised her hand and touched her hair, fondly caressed. It was so silky and smooth, like her heart. Which had no dirt of anything, for anyone. It was clean like a mountain lake, calm and transparent. A small wind could make hard wave in this lake. And so was geet s childish heart. Her mind and heart was so pure and naive. How long he sat there looking her, dont know. But when geet opened her eyes , she looked him looking her and his palm was caressing her head.
She looked him. He was like a statue, lost somewhere. She confused. She touched his hand which was rested on her forehead. Her touch brought him back. He felt embarrassed. He stood in a jerk.
" geet, tum fresh ho jaao.. hume collage jana hai ' he said stern and went out. Geet nodded but could not understand his sudden changed behavior. she went to get ready.
Maan went to terrace and called his securities to inquiry about raghav. He ordered him to take care of raghav very well, in his custody. He made some more call and gave some instructions. He ended call and turned when found geet was drying her wet hair, in front him. She had taken fresh shower and her smell was filling surrounding with light fragrance. He felt he was in a garden, full of blooming flower, beautiful light smell and fresh morning wind was making everything so serene.
She was busy in drying her long hair without knowing what effect it was doing to maan. She was in her thought, her collage, her friends. She almost forgot about yesterday. It was new day for her , seemed maan present gave her strength to forget everything. Her dupatta was flying in air, her hair again and again coming to her face, covering from maan s sight. Maan dint like, something was hiding his sight from his eyes. He slowly stepped toward her. Stood in front of geet . Raised his hand and touched her pink soft chubby cheek to remove hair strand. Geet shuddered with his touch. She looked up to his face. He had removed hair, long before but his hand dint want to leave her skin. He felt that His skin had found its campaign. she shied with this closeness and run from there.
