Maan just acted like he was listening but his mind was already roaming around the thoughts which he had the previous night .

It was 2 in the noon . Everybody retired back to bed for a small nap . Maan heard his phone beeping and saw that it was Dadi .

"Hello Dadi '''''''how are you ??"

"I am fine Maan , how are you ?? Are you happy ??"

"I am good dadi '''.."

"I repeat , Are you happy ??"

"Daadi , I told you that I am fine , then'.."

"I know that you would be fine , I just wanted to know if you are happy coz I highly doubt that ''''."

Maan remained silent

"Maan , you need not commit yourself in a relationship which will not give you happiness , No body is forcing you and we know that you are not feeling good about your engagement , then why ???"

"Dadi I have told a many times '''''..

"No maan , let me speak '''''.. I want only your happiness and I know that Sameera is not the one who you love . Marriage is not fun maan . It is a life time commitment . You guys must first trust and respect each other .You cannot live your life with one whom you hate "

"Dadi , I don't have any hatred towards her '''"

"So you love her ??"

"dadi '''''"

Dadi continued

"Son , I know that Sameera is a very nice girl . Its not that I am against your engagement with her . I want you to be happy . I would accept any girl , any girl of your choice and I know that Sameera was not your choice "

Maan remained silent

" I want you to whole heartedly accept her as your fiance . I want you to marry her for the sake of yourself and not for the sake of others , maan "

"Think again maan , its not too late . Remember , this is the matter of two living souls '''''''. You need not marry a girl whom you do not love just because of the promise of a person , who is no more . take care , bye "

She told and cut the call .

He closed his eyes and leaned on the head rest .

Amar Singh Khurana and Sunil Khanna -they were the best buddies from childhood . They had met on the day of their first grade and instantly got clicked . They attended the school together and got graduated together . Both Amar and Sunil began their own companies ' Amar's was a construction company while Sunil's was a hotel . They got married on grand occasions and they both promised each other ' to turn their friendship into a relationship . They promised each other that they would get their daughter / son married to the daughter or son of the other . But sadly , Sunil had a daughter first and Amar's son was younger than his daughter . Both had a son next and hence their promise was left unfulfilled . But still they continued their friendship and were busy with their own families and companies . It was a classic friendship . Even after being busy with their own lives , either Amar or Sunil would drop by at each others place when they remained available and would have a long chit-chat for ours together with a cup of tea in their hands .

What if their son/ daughter could not marry , they would have their grand children soon and they would get them married .

It was maan's parents who died in an accident and he was later brought up by his grandparents . Both Amar and Sunil passed away but both the families were kept aware of the promise before they left .

It was Maan who fell into the trap . The families had planned that Maan and Sameera could marry each other . Even though their grandparents were great friends both Maan and Sameera did not get along with each other . maan was busy with his bussiness while Sam , with her career . Sameera's family first came to the Khurana household and talked with both Dadi and Maan . Dadi told that it was purely maan's decision . Maan thought for several days about the old man's promise . he was his god father , guide and inspiration . And he decided - For all my grandfather had did to me , I am going to fulfill his promise by getting married to Sameera . And more over marrying Sameera was not a bad choice . He convinced himself by telling that If he got married to Sameera , then he could introduce himself in the circle of the Khannas and this ultimately lead him to profit . It would help him improve in his business when he socializes with people. And another reason was that Sameera too was ready to get married . He told Dadi about his decision . dadi stated that he need not marry a girl whom he did not like for her husband's promise .

She requested him not to spoil his life and the life of the girl too . She told that he need not spoil his future considering the promise of her husband . he need not ruin his own happiness .

But maan confronted the Khanna family and told that he was ready for marriage .For Sameera , marrying maan was not out of love . Her family wanted her to marry him , She did not love anyone , Maan was ready to marry her so why not ?? For her it was an arranged marriage And more over marrying him would not cause her any loss . She can continue pursuing her career and more over she can gain more popularity as Mrs. Khurana . And may be they can even be a successful married couple , may be he was her Mr.Right .Sameera too agreed for the wedding and this was how they got engaged . Even after entering the relationship, both were busy in their own worlds . They would sometimes have a formal talk . Dadi asked him to cancel the wedding but maan did not agree .

One part of maan kept telling that his decision was right but the other asked him to call off the wedding . He was in a confused state and that was why he chose to go for a voyage in the Atlantis hoping to clarify his ownself . The Khannas asked Sameera to join him and now they were enjoying the cruise .

He woke up and realized that he had slept . He stretched his arms lazily stood in front of the mirror to adjust his hair . Locking his cabinet he went out of the room to the same deck where he met geet yesterday . In the deck he saw a girl with her ear plugs on and her back was facing him . He turned and looked at the sky. He leaned onto the bars and kept leaning front and back . He turned his head to look down to see his own reflection . But near him , he saw a blurred image of that girl . Her face resembled Geet's face . Wait , she is geet ''''' He heard a cough and turned to the source.

Hello , Mr. Khurana geet told with a smile

Hu''hullo !!!!

"What brought you to the deck , Mr.Maan ??"

"What do you mean ??? " Maan asked raising his brows .

"Hey don't take me wrong !!! I thought you were not the type of person who enjoyed nature ''''''' especially after yesterday's conversation . And that is why I am now wondering how come you came here '''''''''."

"I did not admire nature till yesterday but I guess now I have started to look at it '''' "

"Wow, my company for a few minutes have brought such a drastic change in you ''...Good job geet "She told patting her shoulders .

Maan just let out a chuckle .

It started to drizzle then and maan immediately let out an irritated "huh ".

He saw a shed near by and immediately went to stand under it . He turned to see geet still standing under the rain. She was not dancing or giggling like bollywood heroines as he expected but she was smiling and she kept staring at the drops , unmindful of the fact that she was getting drenched .

Geet turned and saw Maan under the shed . She approached him and stood under the shed near him rubbing her palms .

"Scared of rains ??? " She asked

"Nah !!! But i don't like them "

"Why ?? "

" Rain is a symbol of sadness . I believe them to be the tears of the people over there(he told pointing upwards) . It makes all busy people drop their works in between . Its just a hindrance in performing our chores "

" Why do you think it to be an obstacle '' Rain is a symbol of relaxation . it soothes your mind and it spreads freshness everywhere around . Why do you think it to be an obstacle in you work ???? Take rain to be the one who relieves you from your work. It forces you to leave your job and take a short break from this busy world . If not rain then nobody can make a workaholic person have some leisure "

" A thing can be viewed from atleast two perspectives . One is positive and the other one is negative . I think see the positive sides of things .That's all "She told and smiled

"So Mr.Khurana , which one do you like morning or evening ??"

" Morning , because it makes you active and vibrant . You remain as fresh as a flower . Evenings just depict your tiredness . Our day is over during the dusk . Which one do you like '''''.??"

" Hm''evening '''''. Because it is the time when we return back to our own den . The whole day we keep flying in the air and we remain busy with our works . During the time of dusk we go back to our lovely place . For example , take the birds . They leave their nests in the morning in search of food but it is the time of sunset when they return back home to their loved ones , to their kids . A day might be over in the dusk Mr.Khurana . But dusk prepares us for the next day . This is my point of view . No offence " she told
