I meant that the female is not to be pitied... but the man with such lowly thoughts sure does need it... sympathy makes people weak is my funda... n frankly, you wont believe it but I cant handle people crying... I myself dont cry ..probably after growing up since my teens until now I only cried once n it was a bad situation then... n I have lived away from my family alone for 6 years now
n about Geet having voiced her need for physical intimacy...well, she didnt ask Maan to again get purturbed by Geet's silent treatment and grant her a wish a day...n then show her a glimpse of the man Maan once was...and what I assumed from the parts I read( I might be wrong here), that Geet's voicing of their strong physical attraction was the ultimate surrender to the man she loved... for a person can forget the emotions..but she probably thought how could he forget the emotions their coupling brought in them.. Maan had always treasured Geet's each intimate gesture... be it calling him "maan" for the first time in hospital or kissing him first time on forehead in hospital or the cheek kiss on their confession...Geet had acted her age in all those circumstances where a teenager had finally succumbed to her excitement and vulnerability and did what was asked of her...whereas Maan had behaved the mature one and made it profound between the two of them.. probably Geet had expected something similar, alas!! the ruthless soul that has replaced the tender heart that once there was, has taken away his good manners as well... at made him utter those ill-gotten ideas
geet did surrender to her husband without demands...and she did get her hopes high once she found that he didn't reject her any more...she trusts easily and here it was her maan who stopped being aloof with her...isn't this how most females react...each time u hear an incident about a cheated girl i wonder how cud she fall into the trap...doesn't she have the abundance of examples before her? i guess to an extend we believe ourselves to be diff from the rest...may be a bit of arrogance we always tend to equate with men?
Oh Geet had surrendered first time even when she knew that Maan was inebriated and had been at his best rude behavior before drinking... so Geet is a gullible teenager who has seen Maan's "beintehaa" pyaar(used the cheezy word since it wud make more impact than the engligh equivalent 😆)... n each time she kind of thinks that maybe by this his memory will be back... he has enough times done things for Geet which has been precendece for her to go by Maan's bidding without using logic... she loves him yes but more than love she has greatfullness for this man who made her who she is today( even the part where now she will become the rudely awakened soul due to harshness of life)...about the other women... well most of the women cheated, have a history of issues in their life... for geet ut was her over-opressive family and Dev in the first case looked different from the men of her family which is why she trusted... she didnt trust Maan initially...remember she was rude to him too
n I refuse to believe that Maan had vile thoughts back in HP days... he might have utteredc those... but he did that to a stranger... not to a woman whom he had been introduced as his wife not just by his brother but also by his daadima(someone who he implicitly trusts)... asking a wife to do wifely duties when in return u cannot even utter sentences that have essence of friendship in it, is like marital rape... isnt it? or am I too big a feminist here? I have always thought of physical intimacy as just a way of expressing your faith in the strong emotional connect... if u dont have a connect then it becomes a rape since one of the party doesnt have a consent in the situation... sorry I think I have too strong and staunch views about "that" aspect of life

I am not gonna justify Maan's past actions or the present ones...ofcrs he had been wrong to utter those words... but even in past he used to stand for what was right... he didnt leave a girl unattended when her brother was killing her... he didnt blame her for her brother's action then even though he suspected that channi's hubby(I dont remember his name) was Geet's boyfrnd and about the forcing part... ofcourse he forced himself on her... even if to prove a point... kissing her when she explicitly said "let..me..go.." means not taking a no for an answer... n I dont say that I completely oppose the idea of consentual sex... its ok if its healthy n no harm done to either parties... but even for them there is either an inebriated state as a cause or some sort of emotional connect however short-lived it might be... but u dont suggest what Maan is saying when u are married frankly... its like slapping the spouse with the most humiliating kind of line,specially when the other has done it out of pure love and as a surrender.. n hence a rape.. the wife surrendered herself in hope of getting the hubby to realise their once-cherished emotional connect...hubby treats it as just bodily pleasure...wife said let me go n hubby goes on forcing her just to satisfy ur needs...maybe I am not expressing well but it doesnt sound to me anyway other than moelstation if not rape.. yes Maan was making a point but his point was wrongly footed frankly
