There was a very prestigious award function in the city where felicitation of eminent personalities from different fields would take place
Maan usually avoided attending such functions
Every year someone from his office would collect the award on his behalf but today for the first time he was attending the function personally since Dev had informed him that Geet might also come for the function
Same was the case with Geet she was attending the function so that she could meet Maan as this would be a perfect coincidence and he would never come to know that she was desperate to meet him
Venue
Maan: Aaj toh Geet se milkar hi rahunga kisi bhi halat mein [I have to meet Geet today at any cost]
He parked his car and without any delay started walking towards the hall
Geet to arrives at the venue exactly at that point of time
Geet: Aaj mujhe iss coincidence k formule ko hit karna hi hoga [This coincidence formula has to work]
She also started taking quick steps
Maan was coming from one direction and Geet from the other both of them were lost in each other's thoughts and hence failed to notice one another
Both of them collided and lost their balance, before Geet could fall Maan supported her with his strong arms
Their eyes met and time stopped at that very moment
An electric current started running throughout their body
They knew that they were attracted to each other right in the first meeting but today they realized that this attraction was a lethal one
A strange intensity and unknown passion was present in their eyelock which was not allowing them to break this moment
Their infactuation was giving them signals that very soon a new journey would begin where they might get connected through a different bond
The magnetism of their eyes was forcing them to melt like a candle in each other's arms
Their proximity was igniting a flame in their hearts
They remained in that position for quite a while as both of them lost the count of time
This moment of Maaneet was helping many news channels to increase their TRPs
Both Maan and Geet were famous personalities and every small thing related to them could make a great news
Every news channel was flashing live footage in the form of videos and photographs on TV
All of a sudden many channels got their breaking news
"Top business tycoon Maan Singh Khurana dating the gorgeous Geet Handa"
"Geet Handa finally falls in love with Maan Singh Khurana"
"Two strong personalities lose their hearts in the battle of love"
These were some of the headlines that were getting aired in various channels
Some of the channels started a poll and were requesting the viewers to tell them their opinion about this couple
In short this small coincidence had actually changed the relationship of Maaneet in a drastic way
Totally unaware of the situation Maaneet were still drowned in each other's eyes
After sometime their eyelock started getting disturbed as the reporters were busy clicking their snaps
Maaneet finally come out from their trance and they immediately move away from each other
Both of them were shocked to see themselves surrounded by the media people
The journalists tried to talk to them but both of them somehow managed to avoid their questions
Both of them were going to be felicitated and there were special seats arranged for the award winners
This was actually a coincidence that both Maan and Geet got chairs adjacent to each other
The media people got another breaking news
"Love is in the air for Maan and Geet"
"Love birds are spending quality time with each other"
Maan and Geet were feeling uncomfortable with the unnecessary attention
They still didn't knew that their rule number 2 was already a hit as without doing anything they were already declared a couple
Finally it was time for the award function to begin
The distribution of the awards started
Both Maan and Geet were trying to avoid looking at each other, they wanted to speak to each other but privately they did not want any unnecessary attention
As the function was going on by mistake Maan's hand touched Geet's fingers
They immediately looked at each other and the media people captured that moment without any delay
A round of applause brought them back into reality
They tried to concentrate on the function
Mr. Mehra: Now the last 2 awards are remaining and it is my honor to announce the two names
Mr. Mehra: Aap log soch rahe honge k 2 naam ek saath kyun? Wo iss liye kyunki ye 2 alg nahi hai balki ek hai aur inn dono k pyar k charche hum puri duniya dekh rahi hai toh main soch raha hoon k kyun na dono ko unke naye relationship ki bhadayiyaan hum ikata hi de [You'll might be thinking that there r 2 award then why am I announcing it together well the answer is that these 2 personalities r no longer two separate individuals their love for each other is already creating sparks in the society so let us congratulate them by giving them their respective awards together]
Mr. Mehra: Put your hands together for the best buisnessman nad the best young journalist of the year and more importantly the most happening couple of the town Maan and Geet
Every one present in the hall starts applauding
Maan and Geet were totally stunned
The entire media was covering this event and both Maan and Geet had a great reputaion in the society
They didn't want to create any scene in front of the media
Maan like a true gentleman helped Geet to get from her seat Geet too gave her hand in his and both of them went to collect their awards
The journalists started requesting them to pose for photographs they tried denying this request but they had to succumb to the demands of the reporters
After few minutes the function was over and somehow both of them managed to escape from the unwanted attention.
Maan requested Geet to sit in his car Geet agreed immediately as she was very well aware of the power that media possesed she was absolutely in no mood to tarnish her image in public
Both of them left the place immediately
