Maan searched for Geet in her room. He was sure he would find her there. He opened the door slowly and saw Geet watching the scenery outside her window and Sanaya seated down; she was playing with her toys which were placed on a carpet. Sanaya saw Maan.

She left her dolls and toddled towards Maan. Maan bent down to Sanaya's level and hugged her very tightly. Sanaya was confused but hugged back as she used to do with her mom. Maan closed his eyes and kissed his daughter's hair and then her cheeks. He had tears in his eyes and tried his best to avoid from crying.

Geet heard Sanaya moving and turned to check on her daughter. She stood rotted at the spot shocked.

"M-M-Maan...what are you doing?" she said in a terrified voice.

Maan opened his eyes and released Sanaya from his hug. Sanaya gave Maan one of her innocent killing smiles. Maan melted inside.

"What was that?" Geet said as she regained her bold posture. "Why did you hug my daughter?"

"Geet'...no need to play hide and seek with me, I know Sanaya's my daughter, our daughter, I mean" Maan said looking at her in the eyes.

Geet stared and him, her mouth opened.

Maan walked over her and hugged her tightly. "Geet'...I am sorry'...please'...Geet'...I love you"

Geet was in shock;

"How did he know about it?" and she was more shocked when he hugged her. She had waited for it many months when she had learnt she was pregnant. But he never came to search for her. But raw memories had made her bitter; bitter enough to rebuke. She hated the word 'I love you'. It didn't mean anything to her.

Geet pushed him back with all her forces. "Geet" Maan said with a hurt voice.

"Yeah, its right, Sanaya is your daughter, Maan" she said bolding maintain her calm. "So?"

"So? What? I want you and my daughter back'...that's all" Maan said firmly. "Do you really think I am coming back'...no, never again, Maan, I have enough of it'...who knows maybe you just can throw me out again as you'..." she was saying when Maan cut her off with his wounded voice he said "Geet'...please'...listen to me"

"What's left to listen, Maan? Nothing is left'you did what you wanted so please leave me alone" she said and turned her back to him.

"You don't even know an inch how I was when you kicked me out? And yeah ' I didn't even know the reason'...Of course I should have known '... Samira, was the biggest reason'you don't even know how I felt'how lonely I was'...and you expect me back! I am not crazy for that to return again and this time I have a daughter '... do you want her broken as I was?!" she said angrily.

"Tell me how it was?" Maan said softly. Maybe sharing her pain would make her softer, he thought.

Sanaya stood there looking at her angry mom and her hurt papa confused.

"Beth" Geet cried aloud.

"Beth?"

A servant entered the room and Geet pointed to Sanaya. The servant nodded and took Sanaya out of the room.

"You want to know how it was '... it was something you'd never imagine in millions of years" Geet said bitterly.

"How was it to be homeless? I still remember like it was yesterday'...I didn't know what to do? I didn't know where to go? Everything seems to crumble under my feet. I had my credit card with me which was my luck ' meaning my brother was going to bear my expenses'...I had rented a small flat nearby hoping you would come searching for me but'how wrong could I go? MSK never cares about anyone or will never'..."

Maan looked pained. This was terrible. He hadn't even search for her? He had thought she had left the country! Maan stayed silent and continued to hear her talking.

"Then I had signed up working in a company nearby'...then some couple days later I was beginning to feel sick; especially the morning. I was never in my best mood. My colleague advised me to check with the doctor. And I did and then I learnt that I was'...I was'..." she said and she didn't complete her sentence. Maan knew the rest.

"Did you know how I felt? I had no-one for me! And a life nurturing inside of me! Do you know how it was? It was horrible! How I wished it was just a nightmare' Some days later I went again to the doctor and he said I was keeping badly; I was not eating well and it could be dangerous for the baby. I decided I had to go back no matter what! I had called Nandini and told her to pick me up. She did and she asked me what happened. I was in a mood of saying anything and she didn't press. When I went back to my home; I learnt that my brother had divorced my sister-in-law because she had forced me to marry you. Nandini had advised my brother not to come and meet me; instead asked me to go to meet him. I had never called him as I was dead scared of his reaction. My brother was very happy and he didn't question me about anything. But Nandini and Rajji felt something was wrong '... they snoop in my room and found my report and'...and they told my brother. I'...had to briefly tell my brother about you and the relationship we shared'and'...the rest'...He asked me if I wanted him to search for you but I wonder why I said no. Maybe'I had loved you and I had cared for you'..." she said disgusted. "And you still do" Maan pointed out.

Geet rolled her eyes. "You want me to prove it'..." Maan said. "NO" Geet said bitting her lips.

"Right, I care for you because you're the dad of my Sanaya'..." she forced herself to say and tried to assure herself that it was the truth.

"No wonder Nandini hate me" Maan said. Geet nodded. "Then Sanaya'...my little saviour came into my life'...and gave me a new purpose to live'...and you want me back! I will never come back, Maan'...you never came searching for me'...those lonely and painful nights'...!"

"I did'but when I realized my mistake you had already left the flat you were living in and nobody knew where you went'"

Geet shrugged as if she didn't want to believe that.

"You rented a flat at the Eastern of the roadside dhaba" Maan added. Geet looked surprised.

"He did come for you Geet" she thought but said "yeah'but why?"

"Geet'do you remember that morning'"

"Yeah how can I forget anyway?"

Flashback starts

Maan kissed her neck and planted kisses on her forehead back to her shoulder. Geet finally responded by kissing his earlobe'it was night!

Maan woke up and found no Geet around. "Wake up" he heard Geet said. "Geet'come on'who wakes up so early" he winked making her to blush. "Breakfast is ready'come down fast" Geet said blushingly. Geet was about to go when Maan stopped her by holding her hand. "Leave me'" "Why?"

"Maan'"

"Hmm'Dadimaa!" she fibbed. Maan released Geet and looked around and realized he was conned. Geet laughed and by that time she had already reached the door. "You'just watch" Maan said coming closer. "You'll come downstairs like this'?" Geet pointed out and laughed. She rushed downstairs leaving Maan confused, running his fingers in his hair.

Flashback ends

"So?" Geet said.

"Three days later; I met Samira. She saw I got over our broke-up. I was a happy man, Geet but she poked her nose into our lives" Maan said painfully.

"What? What do you mean?"

"She met me and she asked whether I was sad or not which I wasn't. I replied that she didn't expect me to mourn over it. I was about to go when she removed a newspaper clipping and showed it to me. It was you Geet; very close to someone'... a man"

"What?"

Maan nodded "she had known about us; and decided to create a riff between us which she successfully conned me."

"Huh? Who was that man in the clipping?" Geet asked.

"The Duke '... Brij '... your brother" Maan said. "She had cut off the headline and showed me the clipping'Geet'I was super hurt'...I had just started to learn how to be a family and then by showing me the clipping she broke all my dreams'Geet'...I got so angry that I didn't think two times when I threw you out'..I was drunk'I had drank too many'...and I'...I was completely drunk and told you to go out!"

Geet was hurt. She could feel Maan's pain. But she had to confirm everything. After all, he was the same one'...

"How do I believe that?"...

Maan looked at Geet with his puppy eyes making Geet to soften. "I swear on my Dadimaa"

Geet had to believe it. Dadimaa was part of Maan's life. Maan couldn't live without her and she knew it. Maan came closer to Geet and said "by the time I came to know I couldn't live without you'...It was too late'...you had already left me'...you had left your flat'...I search for you but then I had family problems. Annie loved a boy and I had to marry her"

Geet nodded and she started to cry. They hugged each other.

Rajji stared in shock. She was just back from America from the bar. She had successfully become a lawyer; and she wanted to announce the news to her sister but instead she got a shock. Rajji ran downstairs.
"Bhaiyya'...what is Maan Singh Khurana doing here!" she panted.

Brij looked confused at her youngest Duchess. "He's my business partner!"

"What?" Rajji cried and looked at Nandini who nodded.

"Brother! How could you do this! He was the same one who ruined Geet Di's life!"

"WHAT?"

Nandini and Rajji nodded.

Maan and Geet came downstairs together. Geet saw everyone glaring at Maan. She looked at Rajji. She returned home from America. Geet sensed Rajji told her brother about Maan.

"Geet'...you never told me..Maan was'...the'.." Brij said glaring at Maan then looking softly at Geet when Geet cut him off.

"Everything happened'all these things were some misunderstanding between us'nothing like that'I mean like you think'" Geet said taking a deep breath and looked at Maan.

"What do you mean?"

Geet sighed and again she looked at Maan. "I love Maan" she said loudly leaving her brother and sisters shocked. She looked at them and said "I think we need to talk"
