Few Good Men!!!
In a world where relationships to an extent are superficial and emotions are shallow, some of these fictional characters help us restore our faith and trust in Love and Commitment.
"Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale." ~ Unknown
... When we think of 'A Knight in Shining Armour,' the one name that stands out distinctly in our minds is none other than Maan Singh Khurana of Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. The perfect Debonair with a heart of gold. "Tum Maan ki baahon mein ho Geet. Hawa ko bhi tum tak pahoochne ke liye meri ijazat leni hogi. Tum ghabrao mat." For a woman these are just not mere words, but means of assurance that to someone she is the World. A woman can forgo every trauma in life if she can have a Man like Maan as her Mahi…her 'Anchor.' As much as we love Geet, we envy her for being blessed with a husband like Maan because being a Man's wife is ordinary but being Maan's Life is extra-ordinary.
"It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is and not according to what he has." ~ Henry Ward Beecher
Mujhe apne biwi par pura bharosa hai…these golden words saved Priya from getting humiliated in public because of Ashwin. Ram of Bade Acchey Lagte Hai may not be the man Priya had desired for, but today she must be proud to have him in her life. Ram might not be head over heals for Priya, but he definitely respects and trusts her. He has also stood up for her family as and when required. They may not be living like husband and wife but there is an unspoken bond, which binds them together. If there is trust and respect, love cannot be far away. Its not going to be long before Priya realizes that the voice she had heard in the hotel rest room, sharing the void of his life and with whom she felt a connect instantly was none other than Ram.
"Life is a journey and love is what makes that journey worth while" ~ Unknown

"The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved – loved for ourselves, or rather loved inspite of ourselves." ~ Victor Hugo
Raghuvendra Pratap Rathore of Uttran is a smart, intelligent, wealthy, and practical man who comes with an attitude that suggests, "don't dare to mess with me." However, it's amazing how he falls in love with a woman like Tapasya and eventually wins her over. Tapasya who was rejected by her loved ones for all the wrong doings found acceptance in this complete stranger. It's unbelievable to see Tapasya have a husband like Rathod who loves her with all he has even after knowing that she is responsible for losing their only child. A character like Rathod instills the faith that there are probably men out there who will love and accept you for who you are or irrespective of who you are.
"We come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly." ~ Sam Keen
Jab hum pati patni hai toh hamari pareekshaye alag kaise ho sakti hai. Suraj of Diya aur Baati Hum does not belong to the above league of men, but still he is no less desirable. A man lacking in proper education and ambition is not what Sandhya dreamt of but destiny has bonded her with Suraj. Ever since their marriage, Suraj for no fault of his has time and again faced the wrath of Sandhya and each time made futile efforts to get to the truth. Even though Sandhya has not been able to accept this mismatch, Suraj on every occasion has extended his support towards her. He may not be highly qualified but he displays values and morals, which are difficult to find among the qualified class of men. It takes a lot of courage and patience to keep aside one's Ego and tolerate the kind of denial and rejection that Sandhya put forth on their night of consummation. Suraj is a very simple hearted man whose happiness lies in the well-being of his family. By nature he is polite and a man of few words, yet he manages to read the pain behind Sandhya's silence and makes repeated efforts to understand and comfort her. We hope that Sandhya soon understands and values the worthiness of this man who inspite of being her husband, never crossed the line of honour.
God may not shower us with what we WANT, but he always blesses us with what we NEED. Not all the men we discussed on Rangmunch today may be perfect or desired by their companion, yet when we look deep into their relationship, we soon realize they are the "made for each other couple."
