Yes i understand especially if she has been watchin only American and then shown Indian telly then confusion...

There is one thing consistent about the first con scene and this one - the question and confusion at the end of it. Did they con or not?

Many were convinced that they did not con during the first tabela scene but we were told otherwise later on.

Yesterday's scene left this 'con'clusion of the 'con' ambiguous and open to interpretations.


Now did Maan just want a kiss from Geet? To me he looked like he wanted much more going by the sensuous way he was removing her jewellery, right down to the anklets. He also seductively draped the dupatta first before slipping it off her shoulders suggestively. Now why would he waste time in all this if he only wanted to kiss her? Would he have not just dragged her face to him and done it? The intensity of the hug and the passion play on their faces also suggest that they wanted much more than just a kiss. Yes, they did not show us more that the shadowy 'kiss' but I don't think they will for this is a prime time T.V. show. The rest is left to imagination. After all a kiss is generally the climax of foreplay and the preclude to con.

The CVs are clever. They left the question of whether they conned or not hanging. This way each can assume what they want. They just gave us the dots. It is up to us to connect them or not.

.what a happy day for all..we got what we are screaming for last one and half years.
Gurti proved they don't need huge elaborate sets..decorations...expensive clothing ...etc for a beautiful sensous moment. Though I wish they had all that...not having all that but made the scene convincing..even in that tent dress of Geet...that was real creativity...awesome work by the team.

here is my take..

Wow...what a beautiful, aesthetically shot romantic and sensuous sequence in a small kutiya...the whole sequence was about physical attraction , in which Maneet didn't even need any dialogues to communicate.
Neither Maan bored us with long winding dialgues about the Sun Moon and the Stars...nor did Geet push him away or use her typical "chaddo , yeh tum kya karrahe ho?" .
Neither of them bared their skin...both had full clothes on...but produced the effect of a nuclear bomb.
I wonder how the cameraman and light technicians kept their focus !!

Ek baat to hai...Maan get turned on when his sherni wife drives a truck...tuck that piece of info darling Geet. The care and concern they both have for each other...Maan has physical strength, and Geet has the nourishing strength and supportive strength in times of distress. Emotionally and mentally they have been bonding..and now physical attraction hit them will full force..in the wake of a narrow escape ..all the adrenaline..and a realization that they could have lost each other...

Not one word is uttered by them in the hut...awesome...

Maan and Geet just silently communicated , everything from want, to need , to attraction, intoxication, breathlessness, helplessness, fascination, admiration, frustration, aggression, shyness, possessiveness, protectiveness( especially when Maan puts back Geets duppatta on her...he is silently telling her that he will always protect her..and her honour..he wants to take her with honour...that was wow...!!). Her izzat is safe with him...when he starts removing her accessories..and finally duppatta...here duppatta doesnt not symbolize izzat..but it symbolizes a barrier/purdah between them. He gets rid of the barrier...he looks intoxicated by her...is frustrated and angry when she moves away...and she is shy , unsure at first..doesn't sense the extent of his need at first..but he lets her know alright.Then she is as lost and helpless as he is...and gives in.

The whole curtain scene at the end was symbolic of the fact that Geet doesn't need to have any purdah with Maan...instead they both as a couple need to keep their love life protected..away from the whole world. Here..I felt the white curtain symbolizes honour...for the couple. Its a pure white curtain from the world.

I attribute the they beauty of the episode to the new writer if any, Sundeep Sharma , Barry and GC DD. With actors like these...even a 3 hour silent movie will be extremely entertaining.

Personally , if these scenes and other great Gurti as Maneet scenes are screened in any bollywood awards event...even the likes of Sharukh Kajol will themselves agree on the immense caliber , chemistry and potential Gurti have.

I second the notion that this was a consummation...unless someone knocks on he door and disturbs them tommorrow😡...or Maan faints again😲

The whole build up is for more than a kiss...the intensity of passion and all the symbolic undressing is not just for a kiss...its pent up want...which will lead to much more..or lead to everything rather.

the only way I will believe this was not consummaiton is if they do show that their passionate moment is indeed disturbed but someone...then I will understand that though Maan wanted more action and so removed her earrings and anklets...someone distured his plan..I mean they are in someone's house ..for god sakes.:):):)

On a funny note..kanjoos khurana apni suhaag raat bhi kisi our ke ghar manayega🤣

@bluefish. Agree that unless they explicitly show us a disturbance in what looks like the progression to con, we'll have to presume they went all the way. As to being in someone else house, they've always got a kick out of doing it in other people's homes than their own, isn't it? Even the first one was in someone else's hut. I dont know whether it is the hut or the fact that it belongs to someone else that triggers Maan's libido and gets Geet to surrender herself to him. Good point you made about the dupatta drapping and later removal and also about the white screen. Maan first touches Geet's shadow while being on this side of the screen but soon they show that both of them are on the same side of the screen although to the other side of the rest of the world. Maan has finally crossed over to her side to become one with her. Their shadows which were at first hazy, indicating their uncertain steps towards each other, become crystal clear as they come closer and finally envelope each other in their arms, indicating the clarity in their lives once they are together.

@killer: This track only makes sense if the women (other than Geet) actually stayed at home and the men (other than Maan) actually worked. If they are really switching places, Nandini should be wandering around aimlessly, completely forgetting her dark past, while Dev bungles KC's next huge deal and then stomps around in high heels imitating DD.

And Lucky should stuff his face while Preeto...stuffs her face! 😆

If Nando dares to boss Geet around at the office or even acts like her equal, I will personally fly to Mumbai and rip her limp hair out from its roots! 😡

Come to think of it, I better book my ticket now.
