Going thru this thread, i keep reading about whether the CON hapenned or not. ...would like to share my thoughts...

As an aside , now that its alleged that GHSP has been granted a 3 months extension, could the PH pls give Geet a new wardrobe. By PH, i mean Endemol since 4Lions seems not to be connected to Geet anymore except for copying scenes to their new show on SP...they are repeating the dhabha scene today, i believe...grrr)rrr (not bashing but v disappointed)

@ indepgal, I dont think anyone wants to see the act but in most shows there is no room for debate because there is enough signs to convey what happened after the lights went off or the scene was blurred. This show has left that question open to interpretrations because people have different expectations on the act. I agree that the con itself is overhyped but it is highly unrealistic that two married and much in love people will keep putting it off endlessly because they would want a filmy setting for their con.

I understand that we have to stand their presence while DD is gone, but why must the story be so unbearable? Why can't the side characters be interesting and layered like they were before MP's brutal onslaught? Though to be honest, they have brought it to such an impasse that I can't think of a way they can make this better without making it worse first. The faster we see the back of these jokers, with MP leading the way to the exit, the better. They are truly the most poorly written characters the show has ever seen and their presence in Delhi, and them clearly not belonging there (read Lucky, Mama Preeto, especially) makes this a hundred times worse than the Amritsar track in my opinion.

It would have been so much wiser if they only addition from Amritsar to tag along to Delhi was Nano, who wanted to study in Delhi, and she was shown as a caring sister and a budding scholar, rather than a vacuous prop for Dev to fall in love with, who was written conveniently based on the need of the moment. They can't neglect to write her character and then suddenly expect us to accept her as Geet's equal. It's irresponsible and careless!

If this track had managed to focus on Maan's ML, then it would have still been forgivable. But they didn't even manage that. If they were going to make these jokers the central plot line then why didn't they just give Maan his memory back and close that track? It's been dragging like crazy ever since NT's exit, when we had first expected to see some small flahsbacks. Mark my words, they won't handle the return of his memory sensitively. He will somehow go into a coma and wake up with his memory intact, when they could have made the return of his memory a gradual and interesting track.

Ok enough ranting!

By the by, the song from yesterdays episode was from "7 Khoon Maaf"... Do you think the director was pleading our forgiveness for what's to come? 😆

@opti...with regards to GHSP, i agree that the so called CON could have been carried out right after marriage and if not so, maybe some time after the MC after Geet got well.. somehow i kept getting the feeling they wanted to do it in a different manner but soon after, the directors changed and it all went downhill ...the SR that we got finally after such a long wait was a botched up rushed affair that most felt was done solely to cater to the mahaepisode ...therefore, the ML track ( i wasnt much in favour of it) actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it gave us a SR closer to our expectations...there is justification why we didnt have a CON earlier...coz of baby, then MC, then geet leaving KM , in Amritsar etc etc...so the delay ,even though it maynt be realistic, can be somewhat justified...i am hoping from now on, they will show these 2 behaving like a normal married couple , which means, emnating both love and lust for the other
