So, we are assuming that she even knows what he does not know as to whether he did or did not do. He merely told her that he did not know what he did or did not do and asked her to tell him if she knew what he did or did not do or if she did not know what he did or did not do. She did not know how to answer this "did-did not do" question and ran away to toss a coin -- "Do I tell him the truth?" or "Do I not tell him the truth?"
