The only two people who should have any say in this are the two people in the relationship.
No one else can have a say in that.
The loss of a child can test even the strongest of relationships and can turn even a molehill into a mountain.
Yes couples do break up because of this, some survive it, some go for a temporary separation and come back together. In the latter two cases the marriage emerges much stronger than before and the couple much closer than ever before, ready to take on any more challenges that life throws at them.
Was Geet wrong? Yes
Was Maan wrong? Yes
Because of that does it mean they should break up? HELL NO (forgive the language)
Who gets to decide whether they should be together? Them and only them.
What should the rest of them do? STAY OUT OF IT 😡 (especially brothers and grandmothers 😡)

@Priti: Both are at fault here- there is no doubting that. I just seem to come across posts that only lay the blame at Geet's door and absolve Maan of everything because he saved her many times. Thats why I only dwelled on Geet's side of things and not Maan's 😃

😆 Nah, seriously, I agree with what Shraddha and u are saying and don't for a second support Maan;s actions. My only argument is that both of them are wrong and the way Maan realized his mistake, I wish Geet does too. When they finally make up, I want both of them to be more matured in their relationship and both of them to have identified the short comings. if it is just Maan then there is scope for more such issues later.

i love when people can put all the pieces of the puzzle together like you did...we must always think in terms of context or else we would always be misquoting...this incident is not alien...it is part of a pattern...geet has continualy been knocked down...and she forces herself to get up everytime...some blows even came from maan...those are defenitely the ones that hurt her the most..because if someone you love hurts you it matters more than if someone you don't care for does...i think that in the current situation geet has finally broken...as in she has gone into a mental state from which she cannot get out...she walks in a daze with out knowing where she is going...and she is still in a daze...she has lost stability...it will take time and effort for her to recover...as everything has come crashing down at once...there has been no real time to recover from all of the collective trauma's she has suffered...
