My Take on Geet Forgiving Dev

Hi all....since yesterday's episode there have been varying reactions to Geet forgiving Dev.......whether her decision is right or not depends on how the viewer analysis her reasoning behind it.....

From my POV I think she is absolutely justified in making this decision....her reason was in her dialogue ..........if we want to move ahead in life we should not carry the burdens of our past with us...

In the words of Gerald G. Jampols "I can have peace of mind only when I forgive rather than judge"...........

As for her making this decision without consulting Maan i don't think she has made any mistake......the card made her realise how much Maan was suffering also because of her MC and that he wanted to move ahead in life with her by his side.......that could be possible only if they broke all ties with her disturbing past......

Moreover remember when MSK got her back from the station he had said that he would do whatever she wanted.....if she wanted to punish the miscreant he would leave no stone unturned to seek him out and bring him to justice.....and even when he came to know that it was his brother he did have him arrested.....given this thought process Geet would have believed that Maan would support her in her decision.....as he had always claimed that he would do whatever she wanted regarding this matter..........

Finally and most importantly......Geet now is married into the Khurrana family......as much as she loves Maan she loves dadi too and knows that Dadi has a soft spot for both Maan and Dev.......she therefore may have decided not to hurt Dadi any more by bearing a grudge against Dev.............

But leaving Dadi and Maan's feeling aside I think her main reason was that with her baby gone she wants to break all ties with her past...as only then will she be able to move forward to a bright and happy future with the one she loves so dearly.........

So please even if u all don't agree with me then also respond to my take......and I hope u all have not been tempted to throw 'jootas' abd 'chappals at me.....UI have just expressed my feelings on this topic which has caused ripples on the GF since yesterday's episode.........

i agree, also the way she forgave him it was like she just wants to get it over with, he's is insignificant to her and him continuously pestering for forgiveness is quite annoying she could have just forgiven him for that.

i agree at a face it may be disturbing for letting the culprit go but this would cut all her ties with Dev!

love and hate r strong emotions and r capable of connecting two people separated by time and space... forgiving him, she severed all the ties with him and he became nobody to her! her resoning justified it... she forgave him that also meant that she was now ready to completely let go of her past and its disturbing memories... she was ready to build on new memories and foundations of her love with her husband... Maan

Besides, though Dev was all happy happy about it... it was actually a stinging slap on his face! Sometimes forgiving someone can be worst than giving him/her the punishment! so her reasons were justified!

geet forgiving him for herself and maan is well taken decision i dont want dev to be forgiven for his own burden

what i think is for this kind of SIN there can be only 2 option ((1)) jail with forgiveness..and ((2)) freedom without forgivness ........... freedom with forgivness not done

I believe Geet, in the graciousness of her heart forgave Dev as she clearly states, so that no other past wrongs from her part would cause her to lose another one whom she loves dearly. Her traditional upbringing has taught her sound values and she feels forgivenss of her own abuser is the way to keep her heart clean and fill it with all good things now. Rightfully you have said, now that the baby is no more, she wants to break off any more link to her past. And what better way than forgiveness. A great gesture only such women of great values could do.

Its not love of Dadi, but love of Maan and forever keeping their relationship sacred and clean. For she again and again says, no more daag of the past will taint their future relationship.

Poor creature, she does not know what awaits her in terms of Maans anger !!!!! Gosh, o gosh !!!

Fabulous analysis dear. Every point is valid. This is what Shansy and me told yesterday. If forgiving Dev helps Geet to break all her ties with her past and start her life afresh, then their is no reason for regretting her decision.

For a fresh start to your life you need to let all the burdern off you... Thats exactly what she did... What this shows is that Geet is a very strong headed character who exactly knows what she wants from life and knows how to make it worthwhile...

how can geet be so confident that dev has changed for good ...........we know bez we have been shown his mind thoughts ...but geet ......she is not aware of his internal thought process this could have been some kind of negative thought also ,he is capable of doing it when naintara can be negative after all this why not dev........... i would never trust a man n let him live in same house with my husband if he did this to me
