Yeah Opti...I like him still....And usually I don't pay attention to the personal lives of these hollywood celebs coz they are never faithful per se....😆....Very rare to find long-term relations there....

But I am happy to know that you like me start to dislike people when they don't respect the sanctity of marriage and make a mockery out of it....I have hated many Indian movie celebs and TV stars because of this....

I try to keep personal out of professional and look at an actor for what he/she is but sometimes it is difficult. I get especially put off by people who, as you put it, make a mockery of marriage. But then, as you rightly said, people rarely remain faithful in hollywood or for that matter even here in bollywood, although there are some long standing marriages too.

Yeah its true....now people always opt for the easy way out...and don't work on their marriages....the smallest of things is blown out of proportion and extreme steps are taken by couples....I suggest if you are not sure of marriage then don't get married..... try a live-in...but if you do then respect your vows.....

I guess I come from an old school of thought where if a marriage can be saved by some adjustments and compromises the couples should try to work on it...I guess I'm ancient....and need to be put in a museum....😆

Kavi, don't worry, I'll join you in that museum! I agree with you. No marriage is a cake walk. Every marriage needs hard work, some more than others. If couples are not willing to work at it, its better they don't get married or at least don't bring in children. I've been married for nearly 16 years now and last year went through one of the worst test of my married life. My son had a prolonged illness which was not properly diagonized and it put us through a lot of mental and emotional stress. We took out our frustration on each other. My hubby, who is normally the calmer person between the two of us, couldn't handle the pressure and lost his cool pretty often. I soon realised there was no point getting angry when one needed to conserve one's energy to tackle the problem at hand. So I had to change my basic nature of being the short tempered shrew and try to be the foil to absorb his bitterness. It was very hard, for in all my married life, it was he who had been the calming influence in my life. But I did put in my effort and things improved. Now my son has recovered and my hubby is back to being the sweet human being he was. I am relieved we had passed that trial of strength for our marriage.

Wow!! Opti....I can't believe this I have gone through a similar ordeal in my life too....First off let me say I'm so happy to know that your son is alright and came through unharmed...May God Bless him with a long and healthy life!!

As I said I too had a similar story which made me and my hubby into a stronger couple....I'm also the short-tempered in your face kind of a person and also I'm the strong one in our relationship but had to go through a rough phase in the fifth year of my marriage....My son who was just three-years old started having severe health problems....we had just shifted to Mumbai and I took him to a local pediatrician( his regular one is in Bangalore) who diagnosed him incorrectly and prescribed him some medicines...and those had such an adverse effect on him that we almost lost him....I can't even think of those days without crying.....Then we immediately took a flight and rushed to Bangalore and his regular pediatrician put him on a course of some corrective medicines and he slowly and steadily returned to normal....I never thought that he would survive but my husband was like a pillar of strength and supported me throughout....That brought us really close...We were there for each other through those harrowing times and now everything else seems minor in front of that....It really puts life into a different perspective....

So when I see couples having silly tiffs I really laugh coz they don't know what life's all about...and also pray that they never have to learn about it the way I did....For them everything is so frivolous....no seriousness....I feel like whacking them on the head sometimes...but that's just me....the Daadi amma....😆

Thanks Kavi, my son turned 13 today and round about this time last year, we were going through that harrowing time.

So you too have a bad experience with doctors in Mumbai?Same is the case with me. I've not had good experience with doctors here. I had to fly with him to Chennai to seek an expert's opinion there when I lost hope in all the specialists here. I spent sleepless nights, weeping my eyes out and turned into an emotional wreck. My hubby was going through stress of his own. Unlike me who could cry and let out my grief, he couldn't do that (Men still feel it is unmanly to do so, I guess). Pressure at his work front also made things worse for him. So he started venting his frustration and anger on me. Since I had not seen this side of him, it was too much of a shock to digest it. I resented it in the beginning but then started seeing things from his perspective. I understood what he was going through and put in that extra effort to calm him down. It required real hard work because patience is something that does not come naturally to me. I bit back my own frustration and allowed him to let off steam. My family was a pillar of support during this trying time. In due course with the source of pressure easing things returned to normal. I'm glad that phase is over.

Its remarkable to know how much we share in common. Thanks.

Oh! Its his Birthday today!!!! Wish him a Very Happy Birthday from my side!!! Hope and Pray that he gets all that he wishes for in his life!!!

Yeah I still don't give my son any medicine prescribed by the doctors here without consulting his pediatrician in Bangalore...He is a gem of a person and has answered my calls even at the strangest of hours...He is in all my prayers and not a day goes by when I don't thank him...My son is still alive because of him....May God Bless him!!

My hubby too had a lot on his mind during this time coz he had just started a new job and couldn't get leave and I was struggling at Bangalore...but every chance he got in a day he would call me and give me strength...I had cursed him for not being there for me and our son...but he never reacted...he did what you did with your husband...he stayed calm.....and kept constantly reassuring me...Today whenever I remind him of those days ...he says that he learn that from me...He said...he did what I used to do for him when he used to have trouble at the office front or any other problems...

Well, what I learnt from this was that we were and are each others strength....when one is down....the other stands tall and supports the other and keeps the balance....And that's what a healthy relationship is all about....

Me too amazed by the commonality we share 🤗🤗🤗

Thanks Sarita. Yes, he did promise her to explain but I guess he did not expect her to give a running commentary throughout the film. From her point of view though,s he had to clear her doubts then and there!
