Marriage on the cards for GC-DB:TB:Mod's note PG2 - Page 9

Gurmeet Choudhry and Debina Bonnerjee took the plunge and got married on 15th of February in a very quite ceremony at their home. In the presence of family, very close friends and the registrar of marriage, they signed the register. "We are so very happy. Seven year of togetherness culminating into lifelong commitment. It's been a beautiful journey and will be yet more beautiful," commented Gurmeet. Gurmeet's parents and Debina's parents along-with their childhood friends wished the couple happiness.

As was stated on the news, they married before a registrar and probably had a small ceremony at their house with their parents. That is not so uncommon. Many couples do that. Then they throw a reception for everyone. One of my college friends and even my brother did it that way. My brother was a firm believer that marriages result in unnecessary expense for both sides, ESP the girl side. Infact my brother did not want a reception, but my dad was adamant and he threw a reception without a dime from the girls side. So these things are not uncommon.

Thanks for the information^^ ya it sounds very sweet and all the family facts... but I think you marry once in your LIFE or atleast you hope so, well then why not a beautiful and big ceremony?? I know how Indian ppl celebrate wedding parties, they are alwayssss traditional, great and beautiful!! I love it!! but he is a celebrity... hmm.... ya ofcourse its his life n he decides what to do n how to do it but from MY POINT OF VIEW its weird... thats it

it doesnt mean i dont respect gurmeet, i looove gurmeeeet and i like his jodi with debina... its only my opinion, i even sometimes dont agree with my own parents , so it doesnt mean I am a hater of my parents^^ and here with gurmeet its same.. i love him, im a big fan hopefully u understand wat im trying to say

Why do you think the marriage took place in the kitchen? Because of the fridge?

I think they have an open kitchen and I guess they were standing in the living room while exchanging garlands.

Didn't the article say that the Registrar of marriages came to their apartment where the ceremony was conducted? They do come home but at a cost.

The pix must have been taken by friends as there was no SBS/SBB/UMT at their house yesterday....today's segments carried the same photographs as the ones on the forum.
