Guys sometimes such reports are really publicity stunts so I would give a very objective opinion on this. The thing is that some actors may refuse to do roles of father or mother it's really upto them but while taking up a project if somebody knows that in future such a track is going to come up & he/she gives his/her approval to it & then refuses to do so then it's really unprofessional behaviour.
Similarly if an actor thinks that he can't do negative role then he should not accept the role in the first place. Changing the story as per the wishes of the actor's is really messing up with the story & it's a cheating with the viewers as well.
Such things remind me of the typical nakhras of the actors few decades ago. These have been mocked in films as well like in Om Shanti Om where SRK forces the director to add Darde Disco. LOLZ... 😆😆For female actresses it used to be "I would not play a mother". And many times directors put the sets on place and actors would say "aaj mood nahi hai" or they would just disappear from the sets forcing the director to packup. All these things are unprofessional and cause a huge loss to the storyline.
As an actor if you believe in yourself & the director & the script you can do wonders & nothing will be able to stop you.
As many people have mentioned before had Dev remain negative the story would have been more interesting but the actor refused don a negative character. So story got messed up. But didn't we like Karishma & applauded her for projecting a negative character? Now Dev's character has completely gone missing & the track is simply lost.
If DD has problem in showing a bump them they can show a 4-5 month leap after which Geet gives birth to a baby. (personally I won't prefer it but if the actor remains adament on it then it's the only option). And as far as the problem of having a baby on the sets is concerned people should know that there is no need to show baby in every scene. And if they can use BD of lead actors, they could also use a doll instead of a baby. 😃
They can also show baby in the cradle & Geet taking care of baby & simultaneously studying further.
Edited
If baby track wasn't planned then they should have ended it before the engagement trouble. There were many situation when it could have happened but they always projected that Maan will protect her & the baby ( Golden temple scene). why that scene was there if they had not planned it earlier????
Plus if it's a youth show doesn't mean you can kill the babies. Loss of a human life is really big. It's not a joke but I think we have seen too much of Ekta shows so that we don't feel like losing someone. Though the channel is catering to the tastes of youngsters, the audience of this show is from 20-30 age group where many have settled in their lives. So they should also care for their sensibilities.
