Im not against Maan and I don't think he is out of character...YET
However..I do not like the way the CVs have formulated this track as in the way that this sister pops out of no where...no mention...no pic...almost 8months of GHSP and no mention of ANY SIS whatsoever...dan what/who is this😕
But as a loyal and patient audience...im willing to wait and watch...and im just praying that they don't ruin this further or START butchering Maan's character
Apart from that...I LOVE ur post😳
And as for those who want other actresses...if any other famous personplayed the part...than the cameo would no longer be a cameo coz those respective fan groups would start petitioning to keep them in the show no matter how horrid the character was...so im GLAD its someone unlikeable playing Annie as it easy to kick her out...LOL
😆😆😆

I share your sentiments. I sincerely hope we will not be sent in search of logic again.

Really I commend you for taking the time to write such an insightful post that not only puts this new track in a different light but also reminds us all of the man that is the MSK. His characterization has never had any flaws and I was a bit shocked to see some people saying his character has been thrown out the window or that MSK isn't acting like MSK anymore because of all the pampering and apologies being given to a brat-like sister. But really, I think you pin-pointed every single detail very clearly and very aptly and reminded us that MSK hasn't changed a single bit. Thankyou for remembering the attic scene because I was dying to make a post to also refresh some memories about the fact that MSK has not always been the angry-young-man. He once was very happy and out-going and thus we get to see that MSK today as he has completely transformed himself through his relationship and experience with Geet. There must've been a relation he kept with Anvesha in the past before his life was destroyed (by Sam?) and so the fact that we were introduced to a man who could care less about women, doesn't necessarily mean he has always been like this in the past as well.

So, I thankyou very dearly for making this post and putting this unbareable situation in a different perspective! 👏

nice post...ur post has given me hope after watching the horrible epi ystrdy....
one thing let me add here...many here r fussing over the fact that maan has said sorry twice to anwesha...a man who never apologises how can he say sorry....
let me say here that apology is a very strong word....in this case maan's sorry is not an apology....but mere succumbing to his baby sister's silly tantrums whom she met maybe after a long time....i guess after years...
and as for her permission to marry geet....that is never my cause of worry....it is incomprehensible that he will let go of geet widout whom he cant live just for a spoit sis...
but of course he wants that his sis and wud be wife be on gud terms and for that he will go to any lengths....as for supporting anwesha (as per promos)...this is very common in real life....
let me give examples from my own life...i hv a elder sis...since i am the younger one i am very much pampered....at times wen we used to fight or argue...my mom to bring peace between us always used to support me....the reason behind this is that i being the younger one was also a stubborn one...and also my understanding level was much less than my sis....
at those times even if i were wrong my mom used to support me because she knew that my sis wud understnd that this is just a tactics on my mom's part to bring peace....of course at heart mom knows i was wrong....and later on wen everything got settled my mom used to point out my mistake so that i cud rectify myself....
this worked so well that after i recognised my fault...i used to go up to my sis to befriend her again....
another thing let me tell here....maturity of a person depends not on his/her age but on his/her experiences in life....
anwesha though of same age as geet...but she led a pampered life with a golden spoon....she did not hv to face the atrocities of life that geet went thru....therefore anwesha is a spoiled and immature brat...
while geet is a strong, independent and mature girl since she went thru very difficult phases in life....
therefore wen geet and anwesha will be hving arguments or clash of egos...maan wud side with anwesha just because he will know that geet wud understand since she is the mature one...later on maan can always go to geet and pamper her by saying that he sided with anwesha only to bring peace....
but of course maan has been portrayed as one who cannot bear insult of geet...so if things go overboard and anwesha humiliates geet then maan will show his true self....he will know how to show anwesha her place...and protect geet's dignity....

Aditi, You bring very good points. 'Apology' is indeed a very strong word. There is a lot of difference between making a true apology and uttering the words in a playful mood to pacify the tantrum of a pampered sister.

I completely share your sentiments that Maan will tolerate her only as long as she does not humiliate Geet. Also, good points about pampering a younger sis( I know I have done a lot of pampering to my younger sis), and the maturity that Geet gained by facing the hardest battles of life from which Anwesha is screened so far.

Thanks for liking it dear. As long as Maan and Geet are together, I can face any Anweshas they choose to throw our way. For me personally, this story is about celebration of their true love and about the journey of a wronged girl to find ever lasting happiness in life. That in itself makes the story inspirational, and worth remembering.

.. Wow ,,, u did it again 👏👏👏,,,

Thank you for explaining it in a very logical sense. In this short span of months, the characters Maan & Geet has taken a very special place in all of our hearts. To some of us, a mere show is teaching life's harsh reality. For me, this show will always have the first place in my heart and mind for a long time. Yes Maan is synonymous to unconditional love. A role model to all the male chauvinists in the real world and Geet is the classic example for a woman who has gone through so many hardships, yet never lost her courage or self respect. So I can never bash Maan or Geet no matter what side tracks the CVs bring in as fillers. I am disappointed only with the inconsistencies. Till now GHSP was quiet different from other shows ' it was so consistent and there was a flow to the story (though there are some questions still remaining unanswered, it was not needed then by us to be answered). But now bringing in this sister track requires the cvs to answer those questions so as to bring back the consistency of the story.

In a way, it's actually a good move by the cvs to bring in Maan's sister. I am sure they want to portray Geet through this track as a very family oriented and caring daughter in law - well deserved for the respected Khurana kandhan. The real Indian Bahu .

I am so unhappy with the actress chosen for Maan's sister. It could have been anybody else and I wouldn't be so irritated. 🤢🤢🤢But like u said @sksg But, our wishing will not alter it, right?

The story at the end is so inspiring and I have one beautiful sentence to sum it up "Live the Moment" ' my motto 😊

Wise words. I agree with all points you made, and uphold your motto : Live the Moment"

On the other hand, Geet has transitioned from being an innocent, submissive and vulnerable girl to a strong, fearless and indomitable woman. As long as the story keeps up with this point of view or at least offers a scope to explain away the inconsistencies to fit this point of view, I will continue to watch and support this show. Whichever way the story journeys from now on, in the end, I will always remember it for the craving it has created to have that special someone in our lives, who will be like Maan to Geet and Geet to Maan.

What a beautiful post Sri.👏..You said everything that was in my heart. Your post is very logical is apt and fits the reason for us to keep adhering to this show. I loved the above lines very much. This is the soul of GHSP. It is a journey and no matter how bumpy the ride would be we will go through it together with them. Ab pyaar kiya hai to hibhana toh padega hi.
