Dont go by the literal meaning of the title,ever since I have started watching Geet there has been consistent change in my behaviour and my

attitude towards daily soaps as entertainment,men generally dont like daily soaps not just because of the illogical and over hyped and

exaggerated stories but the image and perception of daily soaps is such that men watching them is considered as feminish attitude and men

discussing them is considered abnormal,(this is a general statement exceptions are there),since it is weekend,I decided to give a thought

towards what makes Geet different from others and why people react to any mishandling or illtreatment towards it.

I am a marketing professional,astrology is my hobby and analysing human behaviour is my passion,my writing may not be a editor's

masterpiece so do consider that.Geet was launched on 5th April 2010,I did not give a thought to it,except the fact that the girl who is

playing the lead role(Drashti Dhami) looks somewhat similar to the girl I loved alot,atleast eyes and in some cases glimpses,I was going

through an emotional trauma during april and throughout may,every now and then whenever I missed my love I use to watch Geet and it gave

me some releif to my heart and soul,I was actually trying to visualise my love in Drashti and few incidents were so close to my real life

incidents that sometimes I felt God is giving me a chance to analyze and realize where I went wrong.

I know the behaviour is immatured,illogical and kiddish,but then there are so many incidents happening around in the world which are even

more kiddish,illogical and more importantly done by even more experienced and elder people than me and there is no explanation for

behaviours which are an outcome of matters close to heart.

As it is rightly said "Dil toh bachha hai jee" and friends i am just 27 and not 72,this was my psychological reason to watch Geet,follow the

serial closely and Love Drashti Dhami as Geet,my bonding with Geet grew because of a personal reason and then Geet became a very

important part of my life because the series made me visualise the ideal situation I would love to be in.

As my liking grew for Geet so did my craze but what seemed craze for me and even others was actually my liking for entertainment and the

potential in me to explore creativity brilliance what ever I had in me,I started scripting my own version of Geet,it wasnt on paper scripting

but imaginary scripting putting myself in the writers and directors shoes and unknowingly I built expectations,since we are not professionals

and just fans the expectations were more out of emotions rather than practical situations.

Things looked upto the mark and perfectly fine till Geet revealed her truth,there was reasoning to the behaviour of the characters,Maan and

Geet's onscreen presence was superbly complimented by some fresh vision of writers and directors,the moment Geet revealed her truth

expectations with the makers grew because they had risked the plot which they had set up so brilliantly and were carrying even more

responsibility to justify the behaviour of characters with proper reasoning and live upto the expectations of viewers,if i am not wrong such a

craze was only seen for Hrithik Roshan after Kaho naa pyaar hai had released.

Just like Hrithik went through a rough patch after kaho naa pyaa hai not because his films were pathetic but they were not upto the mark and

expectaions of his fans,his movies like Mission Kashmir and fiza are still considered huge grossers but average movies because they could

have done better had they complimented the Iconic image of Hrithik Roshan and the craze for him in the nation after the stupendous success

of KNPH.

By reading this article if the makers of Geet and after reading yesterday's article on India Forum Starone can understand what is the current

image and buzz about Geet they will surely realise how close Geet has managed to come close to our hearts and what product they have it in

their hand,9.30pm Star one can be remembered as Geet's time of telecast and its Starone time,I had not seen such a recognition for any TV

series after Mahabharat when i heard from my elders that streets use to go silent on Sundays.

My only purpose of this article is to do my bit to provide a true feedback,because trust me guys in this era untill the person is your parent

you wont get a true feedback because even well wishers dont give feedback for free.

Customer feedback is the best gift one can get because that is your chance to improve within time and compete with others.

If fans are reacting then its because they have both pschological as well as creative reasons,the word crazy has gone back in the 20th

century because crazy people do things blindly,today crazy people for me are creative and it is the gap between the creative expectations

and what is served to them which is creating a problem and which needs to be considered seriously.

I understand you cannot make everyone happy but atleast retaining those who are loyal to you is the key.

We want all that was demanded in india forum's article,we bother least who is editing,funding or directing Geet,we want those to be onboard

who think,eat,drink,Geet and who can justify and compliment the hard work of everyone including Fans because we are giving you our time

which is the most precious thing one can get.

Hoping the creative,political,social to some extent and other differences will not be a hurdle because Geet has reached beyond all these for

the fans and the only thing which we want is the makers work goes down in the history pages as one of the creative brilliance and the

onscreen couple Maan and Geet as one of the most if not the most admired,loved and cared couple ever seen onscreen and offcourse even we

maaneet's want to be proud Maaneet's remembered as great fans who supported and motivated their stars and makers.

"For those who think,Geet mein maza nahi raha yaar pehle jaisa,sit back and think why? and if you dont want to waste your time then spend some time reading this huge article of mine and you wud come to know why you are feeling there is no maza.

Well fans made Maaneet absolutely huge and larger than makers imagination which decided the fate of the series,had they not been so big,the makers wud have definitely stick to the plan they had with the series and here I mean original plan of action of how they wud proceed with Geet,they had to change the plots and there was nothing constructive left behind.

When Geet started,the initial nok zhoks were fresh and never seen before so naturally they wud appeal,what next in Geet was there on cards,it is always easy to cash on a plot where a boy or a girl or both are falling in love,the makers of Geet did eaxactly that and they made look those scenes absolutely die for which no other creative team has managed till date and if they have,they dont have Drashti and Guru together to make it perfect.

THough the makers cud have extended the plot but the debacles after episode 131 made things very predictable,for example after Geet and Maan proposed each other,expressed their feelings for each other it was obvious for the dark clouds to shed and ray of hope coming in,I mean it was obvious makers wud make them come together becasue fans wud have rejected the series if they decided another plot,so fans were waiting for them to come back together.

What made the fans say the charm is missing?

Well earlier too Geet and Maan got seperated where Geet leaves Maan's job but immediately is hired by dadimaa,the background of the plot matters.

There it wasnt a big deal becasue Maan and Geet had not expressed their feelings and it was more about how wud they react when they come to know,they have to work together once again,the entire plot was set on a fun background where there was scope for funny incidents to happen.

After Geet rejects Maan's offer to marry him,the plot wud never offer a funny backdrop and quiete obviously even fans wont expect that,it wud have looked stupid,but they cud have certainly made the feel a lot lighter by introducing dadimaa to intervene,clarify Geet's misunderstanding as soon as possible and then set up a comparitively lighter background,where Geet is brought back to the khurana constructions,Maan is upset with Geet and is back to his suppressed feelings attitude and geet trying to convince Maan,I mean this misunderstanding thing was stretched for no reason at the cost of the fun back ground which cud have easily be created with some logical writing and serious thought to the real soul of the series Geet.

How?

Well Geet back to Khurana constructions with dadi maa's help wud have connected fans,who wud have felt good to see Maan's dadi helping Geet to convince Maan and supporting her in every activity.

Maan throws attitude earlier on and later realises Geet is pregnant and comes down to the real Maan who loves Geet more than his life.There wasnt a need to add characters,the new characters wud add fun but just imagine are they important?

I mean what was the need of manishaaaaaaa when he wud be laest required,Adi sir and pinky were there,the guys can definitely not flirt with sasha becasue she is senior and wud actually look illogical and wud hardly get any screen presence.

Instead there was so much to offer,Adi sir and pinky love story for as a filler,Geet adi sir and pinky a team to convince Maan,saasha and tasha back again to keep Geet away from Maan,Dev and NainT get out and come to office,making things look bad,Dadi maa convincing Geet that NainT wont be a intereference and in all this add Meera and Dev love story...

Geet coming back to out house becasue she cannot share space with Dev,dadi maa brings her back to out house,Maan and Geet fun back again and all this till Maan realises Geet is pregnant and needs him.
Episodes cud have been added,the charm still intact but I cant understand what makers think and why do they play with perfection.

Certainly the above plot cud have offered that feel and charm becasue that is what fans want.How the scenes cud have been synchronised,even that can be given by me,but as said earlier the agony of being just a fan is insulting.

Makers played with perfection,maahi original maahi was so good and to make it different they bring in maahii maahii more than the instrumental,I mean the intrumental always sounds better guys,why change the perfect...

Just imagine was it difficult to understand and feel what fans wanted?

Even after that scene where Maan and Geet part ways you hardly consumed 10 episodes,I mean u cud have shown both regretting the decision,Geet feeling let down becasue of mis understanding and Maan feeling betrayed yet again,leading to a conversation between Maan and Dadi wher dadi realises she has to act fast and talks to Geet,though Geet wont trust immediately but on request of dadi with some special powers and rights she comes to khurana constructions,atleast dadi wud understand she needs to compensate Geet for misdoings by Dev and she was cheated.

You cud have shown nok zhoks,where geet adi and pinky are a team and sasha and tasha capitalising on Maan's anger and his attitude towards Geet.the scenarios cud have been recreated yet again and trust me,even fans wud have felt the charm.

Now since you have shown them back together,get the heavy weather out,sow some light romantic Maan and Geet moments with pure Maahii the original which use to run 100 episodes ago.

What is the charm and soul of the series?

It is Maan and Geet scenes with Maahii in the backdrop and all the versions except the one which you have just recreated which seems like some idiot who has set an alarm with just Maahi maahi and no instrumental.

Makers of Geet,Drashti and Gurmeet are nothing less than the magical powers Harry Potter had,you just have to realise the real soul of Maaneet and for that you have to ask fans what Maaneet is all about,it is certainly as big as any superstar in B town.

I dont know if you are planning to end the series soon or whether you wud continue,but you have certainly given me a reason to recreate Maaneet sometime down the life when I am good enough to take care of each and everything and it wud be certainly a perfect tribute to Drashti and Gurmeet and all those Maaneet fans who think the series was absolutely majestic but cud have been aot better because the scope was there,support was there and more importantly it was a slice of pie,a matter of jsut sticking to perfection.

Oh my, just read the second post.. so u actually looking for that fillings, right? like we see in other serials.. for instance, what happened after slap.. did she run away? did he look into her yes.. or did he turn away himself... what happened right after that incident..!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was my comment after feeling it came too early and makers should have taken and exhausted all possible emotions when Maan and Geet were falling in love and cerrtainly the performance of the series in the past two months wud reflect the impact of the timing which was chosen.

Though Geet is the best series running on air but the fact that Geet could have been far better than what its current stage is,makes you feel an oppurtunity missed would never come back.

Certainly it will never come,but if things are in our hand then it can and with fiction that is the best thing,we can change everything as per our vision.

The actors,makers work so hard but if the efforts are not complimented then you feel demotivated and it is a team effort which goes in vain.

Star One pushing for 6 days a week airing has invited scope for errors in making,sometimes I feel Star One should hire robots to work in their shows.

Geet;s repeat telecast chopped off,making followers feel betrayed and mistreated,such was the reaction that fans who were die hard fans got up early only to find some shere nonsense shown in the episodes,leaving few who cared loose interest becasue Geet is not bigger than personal priorities.

They loose plenty by giving choice and would loose more in future if they continue with technical errors and mistiming in story telling.

Such is the agony that makers expect everything from fans,

They want fans to keep supporting the series despite continous debacles and let downs,they give a choice to follow the series or not, by chopping the repeat timings,they stretch the plot unnecessarily making Geet not so worth watch to get up early or sleep late night or for that matter even to watch it on internet.

They build expectations,show good vision and dhadaaaaaammmmmmmmmmm one or two episodes of nonsense and the series is back to "jaise the"

Seems the makers have taken the song" Allah ke bande hasde" song of kailash kher too seriously where the determination of rising is defined despite failures.

I am very happy with the current stage,I am loving everybit of the show and I trust the makers and actors that it will be worth watching the series,but when star one has restricted reach and in that if they play strategies which are against the best show then it is them the loosers and why not should I use the word " Exploiters" for them who have always addicted people and then deprived them from it,they did it with every number one show of theirs but with Geet it seems everything is happening at a faster rate externally and all unwanted things happen quickly but what is expected and desired is stretched for all useless reasons.

From being bowled out and passionate to being very happy for the series,that is the change in me in the past two months.

For this,it is only makers and starone responsible.

They made Maan and Geet very big and now they are making them look ordinary with every week passing by becasue they have lost the thread which triggers the feel and this thread is not any sequence or plot,

It is the build up,the sequencing of events,the emotions which complimented the plot and more importantly the story line which had substance in it which is missing,making Geet lose its aura even after being the best but cant say for how long with star one acting as stubborn and a spoil sport,mistreating its own baby for short term gains.

I am just one,there might be many who bother least,tomorrow more will join me taking the figure to hundreds and then thousands,who feel starone does not deserve Geet,they dont deserve Gurmeet and Drashti working for them and certainly their policies are so irritating that at times you feel they are nothing less than drug dealers who addict you to some drug and later deprive you and make you strive for it.


I know if Drashti Dhami reads this,she will murder me becasue she respects starone alot and she loves starone and does not entertain any nonsense against starone,but same is my feeling for Drashti and Gurmeet and the series Geet,I love them alot,I cannot hear anything against them and I cant see their effort go in vain and their true charisma compromised to feed some short term gains.

Irrespective whether anyone agrees with me or disagrees,I have that concern towards the actors and show and till that concern is alive I will keep pointing them out and the moment it is off,who cares damn whether it is 9.30 pm,repeats are there or not,who is number one or hundred becasue the fact is,
Popularity is a curse as well as blessing,it is how you manage to maintain and respect is all that matters.

With only loyalty and love for Drashti and Gurmeet making me stick to the series

With a genuine request to moderator of the page to read it and forward it to concerned authority and to consider it only as a constructive feedback from a customer ( Viewer) and not as an effort from just another fan to spread panic and negativity.The article is based on facts and it only contains general feeling which viewers of Geet have for the series with exceptions offcourse and more importantly if liked should be considered to find out ways of common ground so that the series gains and not looses becoz of the creative differences between fans and makers which has cost the series in terms of TRP's but the good thing is liking for leads has not declined but has only shooted up.

Results of the six month long study on the series " Geet" the most popular show on television,as a part of my intentions to initiate changes and bring about change in the attitude of men in particular towards daily soaps as entertainment and more importantly find out new ways of opening up market for television industry with series which can attract men too and Geet certainly did for few weeks.

More importantly understand the reasons why,creatives from small screen industry fail to gain stardom like bolly big shots and why the perception of viewers changes the moment stars of small screen clash with stars of big screen,making stars of small screen look small in front of stars of big screen.

To give you an idea it is the attitude and the behaviour and persona management which is built by creatives of small screen infront of viewers which holds them back.

The reason why Geet was chosen is for the fact that the lead pair is the most charismatic pair ever seen and have the potential to break all bench marks provided their talent is properly complimented by the behind the scenes team.

Here comes the results of the observation done on series Geet for 6 months and despite gaining alot of success the series managed to gain only a few drops from the vast ocean of oppurtunities the track,the story and more importantly considering the backing and liking the lead pair Drashti and Gurmeet have and one can only say the present state is unfortunate considering the oppurtunity and more importantly the efforts required by back end team was minimal,becoz the persona of leads picks anything and everything written.
