@Sanam: I agree comprmoises and adjustments are 2 different things but we do both. Why talk about marriage...even otherwise we often compromise whether at work, in college, with family, friends etc...that's also a reality,. I agree often compromises are not always pleasant but we still do them so why shy away from a compromise in a marriage. I am very honest when I say I was a very headstrong person who never cared for anything...I was the man with a king sized ego....when I look back in life, I actually realize my husband was really instrumental in changing me...maybe he compromised a lot but i realize it now all that he did without showing it to me and I am a totally different person. When my mother met me a yr or two after my wedding, she was surprised to see the change in me. He has never complained or thrown it on my face and I respect him for that and which makes me a willing partner in things he wants to do....so ho gaya na compromise from both sides??? he did for me and i did for him....but this a happy compromise not the one that stifles me or him
