This is the way I put it, I remind mine who he goes to bed with everynight, not his mom or his sister right! 😆 I know Im so mean!😆 BTW, he does stand up for me if my inlaws utter a word against me! To top it all they have no guts to call and confront me on anything!😆

@ Sanam I've been called headstrong and rude sometimes just becoz I stand to my words and try to put the picture as i see it.... no sugar coating... but yes in my experience I have let go sometimes.... to an extent where if i do not then things will collapse.... but then that's life i do not hold it to my man... I have made a decision to accept him and he has to accept me with what I'm ....

@Shreya: as a matter of fact... we both are quite similar since I have been told that I am rude... and infact bitter because i speak the truth as is... I guess its just in-built in us women where to avoid things crumbling around us we let our egos crumble...

@bold: I second you by what you've said... but in reality I wonder if this really happens... I mean dont we make adjustments by changing few qualities of ours...?

Well, I have a totally different experience....I was one headstrong egoistic person and whenever my husband and I fought in the initial yrs of marriage....he wud start talking 10 minutes after our fight as if nothing happened...all normal. It used to irritate me no end that here I am moving around with a sullen face and it doesn't bother him!!! He would do all silly things to ensure I smile and I had to give in to his antics.......many years later he is still the same but I have mellowed down a lot....even I don't move around with a grumpy face for too long.

The other plus...he never ever compares me with his mom or says his mom is right and I am wrong. But then I give it to my MIL too for not interfering in our lives....she is a cool mom not insecure about her son at all and he doesn't have any sister!

@Sanam: adjustments are part of a marriage. We all do them and change with time often without realizing it. It works when both compromise.

Do I make sense????😕

@ Sanam Yes we do accommodate change becoz we want the relationship in spite of our misgivings... it does change us as a person... but it does not alter you....for me Life is about making one self better by learning from mistakes and having a better life together.... there is no fun living single.... I know that by experience😉
