Well, I have a totally different experience....I was one headstrong egoistic person and whenever my husband and I fought in the initial yrs of marriage....he wud start talking 10 minutes after our fight as if nothing happened...all normal. It used to irritate me no end that here I am moving around with a sullen face and it doesn't bother him!!! He would do all silly things to ensure I smile and I had to give in to his antics.......many years later he is still the same but I have mellowed down a lot....even I don't move around with a grumpy face for too long.

The other plus...he never ever compares me with his mom or says his mom is right and I am wrong. But then I give it to my MIL too for not interfering in our lives....she is a cool mom not insecure about her son at all and he doesn't have any sister!

Do I make sense????😕

@Anshu: you do make sense actually... well ours is pretty much the same... i have mellowed since the last few months in our marriage, thanks to his calm demenaor... he'll come back with a cute looking face and a 'sweetieee....' and i give in...

but i guess its usually the story in most marriages where the guy has a sister+mother... most smart men dont know how to balance it out and thats where they falter... there are rare cases where the MIL/SIL dont really interfere in the couple's lives... same is my case... they dont really interfere...

Yes i think sometimes....Mother+sister is a deadly combo.I have heard a lot of stories....actually a very close family relation's experience is father + daughter is a bad combo too! Both brothers stand no chance infront of father-daughter duo

@Anshu: I know that adj are part of marriage... Its the compromise that I do not agree with... I have a totally different take on the 2... adjustments is out of love & we do them willingly... whereas compromises are done unwillingly sometimes leading to regrets...!!!

@Shreya: I agree... without adjustments even a normal relationship doesnt really work...!!! marriage requires more than that... I completely agree about learning from one's mistakes... and lead a better life... and not regret... it takes 10 times the courage to move 1 step ahead however it only takes 1 times the courage to step 10 steps back...!!!

@Sanam Relationship is made with two equally forgiving partners... it works both ways... I'm not perfect and i would expect my partner to consider as i consider his...😃
