There are very few people who analyse the situation rationally..most just blame Geet for misunderstanding or blame Maan for being too angry and arrogant. Very few see it from your point of view.

Honestly, this was so beautifully analysed and in a way it makes me think too that Maan is not a bad guy at all..he's still the same old Maan Singh Khurana that not only Geet, but we all fell in love with. Thank you very much for providing an insight in to your thoughts on the show.👍🏼

Hey Dol. You have deciphered the episode (and a few episodes prior leading to this) with such clarity. I cannot agree with you more. While many would not see the nuances of the episode and take it for its momentary presentation, I think you have gone far beyond to catch the veiled intentions.

I love the fact that you did not get stuck on this romeo flirt and how maan would be jealous prattle (of course he would be jay and thats very human in such intense relationships) but went on to provide the dimension of Maans desire to create a strong character in Geet of course 'Maan Ka Geet'.

I agree tht Maan is teaching the lessons of life to her; now I wonder what Geet as a character is to teach Maan?? going by the facts u provided tht she is ignorant, obstinate, etc. He seems a full personality, wholly admirable and chisseled into destiny as MAAN.

Thank u Dol. Today morning, ur post made the earlier nights episode worth its weight in gold.

Loved your POV. the way you have justified both maan and Geet is lovely. the way you have explained maan's love for geet and why he is doing what he is doing is brilliant. I am sooo glad to see someone is looking at things rationally, rather than just kicking maan for being soo rude and arrogant and egoistic.

jo guzar gaya, wo chala gaya. what geet did is a thing of past and the day she will hold out her hand towards maan, we all can see he will take it open heartedly. he is just waiting for that one moment where geet would love her submissively. i am waiting for that one moment too. geet's submission will be maans ego's satisfaction and then we all know, when he loves her, he loves her totally; completely. we have seen it earlier, and we wil hopefully see it again.

awesome post dol....a very neat explanation of maan's actions....
i hv always felt that maan is actually there to act as a guide in her life....

the gud thing is that he acknowledges the fact that he is much older to her and therefore its his responsibility to see that she keeps the proper balance between her confidence and over-confidence....

i am hoping things will speed up a bit....cant see them seperate anymore....

No, I don't agree here. I don't think Maan is doing all this to make Geet stronger. He has gotten used to Geet needing his help/protection and his being around to provide it. So he couldn't not digest the fact the the girl wants to be independent.

I don't think Geet is the egotist here, Maan is. She is a girl who has a strong sense of self which somewhere down the line got sumerged in the overwhelming presence of Maan. Maan wants to protect her always not only for her sake but his own. Most men are like him. They loved to be needed and Maan was/is no different. His listing out all the times he has helped her out merely underlined how he viewed their relationship. It was a highly skewed relationship where he was always the benefactor and she the protected. Such a relationship will falter as it goes along. Both need to be on a equal plane and recognise the importance of each in the other's life.

If Maan really wanted to make her strong, he should have done so when she was still with him, not after their showdown. On the other hand, when they were together he was highly over protective. It is one thing to help when things goes beyond her control or when her life is in danger but he seemed to want to totally shield her from the world. At the same time he has been very harsh with her too. It is not as though Geet was helpless. After all the girl got her own bro arrested and came all the way to Delhi on her own to find a new entity for herself. Yes, she was clumsy and inexpereinced at her work but she quickly learnt the ropes and was doing pretty well for herself.

Professionally Geet has done well even without help from Maan so she can very well take care of herself. Lets not forget that after Maan met Geet, the only worthwhile project he has got (the Chopra project) was because of Geet's presence of mind and innovative ideas. She also had a major hand in the Demello project but Maan himself ruined it. As to Rasika's project, Maan needs to thank Geet that he is not doing business with that obnoxious woman.

I am not saying that Geet is not in the wrong. She is. She should have trusted him more and not jumped into conclusions. But there are several factors which justify her behaviour including the fact the she is very young, has been betrayed by every single person she was close to before she met Maan and she did hear and see things which seemed irrefutable to her.

Maan, on the other hand, is the more experience and mature of the two and yet he seems to be behaving pretty childishly, trying to score over her and that too by adopting unfair means.

For a guy who is so in love with Geet, I found it pretty insensitive of him to rudely wake up a pregnant girl who appeared to have been working all night and give her impossible tasks to fulfill, just so he can get her to come begging for his help. I don't see any lesson he was trying to teach for her sake, here.

To me this track is all about both Maan and Geet realising that there is much more to lvoe than looking at the moon and exchanging lovey dovey talks. Maan needs to accept the fact that Geet can fend for herself but it is he who needs her and Geet needs to accept the fact that although she can be independent, she wants Maan in her life which will be incomplete without him.
