When Maan makes mistakes , we are kinder , when Geet makes mistakes, we are harsher ....
I know Maan is our darling...I know he is...
I also know that in the Friday episode Geet went overboard in her reactive behaviour with Maan...I also did not like the way she behaved with Maan after all that he had done for her...
True, our hearts are all out to Maan...and I am always so partial to him without realising it ...he is such a heartthrob ! And such a darling , always by Geet's side !
But she did have atleast a few good reasons to do so, if not many ...after all she did hear some misleading things from Maan himself (though it was silly of her to move away without hearing it completely, I agree) and then she actually saw Dev royally entering the house...imagine how any girl would feel to see her rapist out of bars and roaming free again ....that sight itself is enough to drive any girl crazy with frustration ,helplessness and anger.... Therefore, while I dont agree with Geet's behaviour , but I forgive her if she has lost her mind at the sight of Dev roaming free again..earlier Maan has misundrstood Geet on so many occassions.... right from Hoshiarpur days he has doubted her intentions, her integrity several times....chalo, they were strangers then....but later , when they were very much in "love" , remember her reaction to her pregnencey ?....yes he came around later ...but remember his initial reaction ? But for Maan , we have a soft corner, so we gave him benifit of doubt and were quick to take him back into our arms again...
But now that Geet is judging hastily , we leave no stone unturned to humiliate her and assasinate her ! Not giving her even the slightest benifit of doubt or of the way she saw the situation !
Here also we conveniently forget that Maan too forgot to mention to Geet something as important as the fact that he had arranged for Dev's parole ...or he made the mistake of not understanding how it may affect Geet if she suddenly sees Dev without knowing ?..
Anyways, to cut a long story short , I am not on Geet's side , infact , I very much disliked her behaviour, especially the way she pushed Maan and he hit the table ...so mean fo her to do that...and to put such grave accusations on Maan...so i am not saying Geet's behaviour was right ..it was NOT...
All I am saying is that Maan too has been insensitive in the past - but we have never been so harsh to him as we are today to Geet...
I am all for Maan , but give the poor girl a break ..she is human too...
And they will both get around to remembering the true worth of the other after their fit of anger dies down ...and in the meanwhile let us not get into fits of our own !
