Is Maan innocent? Me thinks Maybe NO! - Page 12

Geetu...🤗...so well put sweetie! Love it!

Before meeting Geet, Maan was characterized as somebody who hated women, self-centered, arrogant...like a rock. Even in the HSP scenes, he had no problems coming close to Geet and invading her boundaries....a man of the world who set his own rules.

Geet is the drop of water than seeped in to the rock that was Maan. At first, it was just a mild feeling. With time, that little drop of water expanded from the inside...making Maan FEEL something. He is still the rock...but he now feels something he has not before. He is inexperienced from this perspective but as far as the physical aspects of love are concerned...he is a pro. He wears his passion on his sleeve.

Frankly I don't care whether MSK is a virgin or not! I always go by characterisation of a character so far portrayed in the show & though he looks assertive, commanding, determined & demanding he doesn't look experienced in the emotional arena at all & to some extent even his manhandling of Geet so far shown didn't ooze experience in the physical intimacy department. To me it looked like more of raw passion, a rustic touch in his moves, a rugged appeal in behaviour & mannerisms & handling of women in general & that is what attracted me to the show in the first place. He is not refined nor does he know what to do to please a woman or to appease her, he goes by his gut instincts & after he realises that he has been wrong he goes soft & apologises. This trial & error has been going on from day one, then how can I assume he is experienced? I will say though he is rough he has a respect for women which makes him look so appealing in spite of his rough & tough nature & dont-give-a-darn attitude!

I am not even considering all the talks about 'why he is feeling driven towards Geet, I should stay away from her, anjana ehsaas, haven't gifted flowers to anyone' but his attitude & body language to me screams he is totally raw in this field. U know physical intimacy specially to a guy comes through natural instincts, even sometimes first timers can work wonders, so just because he can pull Geet to himself so deftly or look her up so sexually or putting jewellery or taking them off so adeptly doesn't make him experienced in the intimacy arena. If he was experienced he would have looked more swift, more suave, more skilled!

I would like to keep this area open to the CV's, l will see what they have in mind before they bring on Sameera, I don't want to give any suggestions to them specially about his being married or being an unmarried dad indicating it is ok with us even if they bring in such a scenario! To me that would kill his character...........he who uplifts truth, honesty, trust, sincerity as basis of any relationship can't keep such hideous truth away from Geet when he is building his relationship with her!! No, can't be!! No matter how irrelevant the past is on his present this doesn't work on his ethics, nature or character! Not the MSK I have seen so far! So if CV's do intend to show him like this then they better be prepared to see my wrath. This guy screams honesty from roof top, everything & anything bothering him he brings it out right in the open without batting an eyelid & such a big truth of his past he won't tell Geet when now they r so intimate & close?? How can this be?

I know Sameera is there as per dadi & MSK once in the outhouse but she could have affected him in any form & that is what I am waiting to see how the CV's will spun the wheel to bring her on as his past. As I said many times, I can accept Sameera to be one aspect of his being so bitter but she can't be the only reason. He has to be affected from his childhood & finally Sameera may be the final nail in the coffin but she can't be the only one. And even if he was involved with her I can't see him fathering a child with her because as I explained he looks very rustic to me in his approach. He has that animal magnetism in him which looks raw & rugged & not the suave touches of an experienced man. There is a difference between chemistry between 2 person which can exist even before they r physically involved exactly the way we r seeing Geet & Maan now but that doesn't make him experienced in every respect.

Well as I said I will wait for the CV's to bring it on instead of feeding them ideas about Aitraaz or Fida or whatever telling them its fine with us for them to show MSK in such a light which will not only ruin his character but will also spoil the storyline that they have built so far. Its all about character! Yash looks experienced to me, obviously Dev is but MSK looks very raw, very rustic & that is what appealed to us in the first place with his arrogance, ruthlessness, dominance & control over every aspect of his life, of everything in & around him! And then Geet came along his way to topple that control & thus he got hooked by the moment by her. These feelings happens once in ur life & if it had happened before usually comparison arises & we have never seen such an instance in the show so far! Then why would I consider MSK to be god knows what in past when I have not been said or shown anything on this regard?

Shree, we know that what he feels for Geet is stronger than all his previous emotions because he was shown struggling to understand it before. If he already had such a bond, why would he have problem understanding it? My belief is that he was infatuated with Sam (may have thought it was love) and was heart broken and angry when she left. Wowed never to fall for any girl again. Never let himself be in a situation where the girl decides for him. But did not bargain for meeting and falling madly in love with her. He obviously wants to hold on to her at all cost because he knows how precious she is to him and how special their relationship is.

@ Ighosh I would agree to what u mentioned the rustic behavior he shows to Geet....and definitely as per his character.... if he was physically involved then that is a big truth that he needs to share and if he had not then it says other wise...If for him truth and honesty means love then he cannot preach one thing and observe another.... There has to be a reason why he has not shared anything about his past with Geet.....and bitterness before she came......

Shree - i think we can say his is inexperienced in the emotional department because at first he was not aware of what he felt for Geet. he never refers to it as "pyar" but a "anjana ehsaas". it is unknown to him.

@ Ann I agree that what he feels for Geet .... he describes it as different & unknown to him..... But what he has faced with Geet was also not known.... I mean look at the circumstances they met and how he became her savior..... that too plays an important role here......for him to eventually fall for her....
Initially it was I'm right and ur are wrong game or proving the other wrong and vice versa but that lead into the exploration of their own selves......& what they feel for each other.....

I disagree on one point. Maan's character pulling Geet towards him is more the aggressive side of his personality coming to the forefront...not lack of experience. He is used to having his way and shows it. Other than, all his moves, touch, romance shows his experience. Now this is just the physical aspect of love which does not affect his characterization.

Coming to Maan's emotional maturity...here he is rustic...very inexperienced.

Lastly, we have no clue how Sam or other female influences in his life shaped his character. But...if Sam is the one who had the most impact in making Maan the guy he is today, then the writers have some explaining to do...tie the loose ends...hiding the truth etc.

Lana, Shreya - Sam is his past. This there can be no doubt about. There have been more than one reference about it. What exactly was this past is where the doubt comes. She could have been an ex-girlfriend, ex-fiance or an ex-wife. Maan has obviously been hurt by what Sam did to him, by his own admission. So obviously there was something more than just some arranged relationship here. Irrespective of whether he had a physical relationship with her or not, having a past with a girl, he should have confided it to Geet at some point. His failure to do so, has already belittled him to some extent. He should have said something in the lines of "Don't worry Geet. I too have a past but we need to go forward." when Geet kept on and on about her past. So in my eyes he is no longer on a high pedestal.

Tell me are you comfortable with Maan not telling Geet anything about Sam so far, even if you presume that he did not have a physical relationship with her? Clearly I am not.

My opinion:

The magic of first love is what the creatives intend to create in the beginning for Mann. The feeling of new emotions and words expressing the same generate a dream like reaction and is quite pleasing to watch. But, they also penned down a dark past linked to the presence of a woman or women.

Sameera is the answer to all the Qs. 😊

@ Opti Yes he has to share his side of the story with Geet.... whether strong or otherwise his name was connected with sam and that needs an explanation....
