@ Opti What you described is exactly why I would say Maan is innocent in terms of experience .... Unless one indulges there is no way to say Maan is experienced.....Just becoz he handles Geet doesnot scream he is experienced physically..... Men handle their women (who they love) in a special manner always.... Maan is aggressive that reflects in everything he does.... be it work or Love....

@ Norstar Yes it is evident his emotional bond with Geet is very strong....and that might be what he is referring as anjaana ehsaas....Like there is lull before the storm .... the lonely (lull) life Maan has lead before storm (Geet /love) entered his life....
everything is new and heightened....becoz of that

Shreya, when a man who has never been with a woman before touches a woman, he shows it in his experience. Remember, Maan had all this feeling of 'anjaan ehaas' much after he had already handled Geet. It is clear he was referring to the emotional touch rather than the physical touch which he seems used to. Yes, Maan is aggressive by nature but he can also be very tender, as we saw in the Pee loon scenes. The guy does have variety. Although the guy may be experienced I think Sam was the only girl he has really been with before Geet and he definitely did not feel for Sam even a fraction of what he is now feel for Geet. So he is still innocent in love (or ratehr was till he met Geet and learnt the whole lesson with her).

When I say Maan as innocent I mean he has not been involved physically.... why I say that is that once you are in love (committed)) and on the top of it.... you are involved then it is hard to break the bond
and if this is the very same reason for him to be hurt by sam then by his nature it does not seem he'll let the love of his life go at any cost.... like he cannot afford to lose Geet now then how/why he let sam go? (I do not know yet) .... he becomes defensive.... Like a lion guarding his pride....

Agreed!!!!! Its the emotional bond that is more important here. That is what's new to him. He has never felt this way for anyone before Geet. Physical bonding is not as important as the emotional.

Let me bust some stereotypes.

- A hero should be untouched and virginal.
Not necessarily just as a heroine could also be 'so-called' experienced . Does not reduce anything from their persona.

- A hero who is in his late twenties cannot be a virgin.
Wrong again. He can be. It is a question of individual principles. Does not make him less attractive. It is not as if he couldn't get any woman but he may have chosen not to be with one till he is sure.

-Women like men with experience.
Again not necessary. Both can learn together and it could be more fun.


-The hero cannot have had a physical relationship without emotional connection. It would make him cheap.

Men find it easier to disassociate the physical from the emotional. Can have one without the other. It is just the way they are made.



Coming to Maan, we know beyond doubt that what he feels for Geet is far stronger than any emotions he felt before. So immaterial of who Sam was to him, I still find him attractive and his love for Geet special.

The amount of hatred he developed after that breakup does indicate that he was hurt emotionally......
Bottom line is he is very sensitive (emotional).... though he try to hide it with his mannerism .... Dadi has mentioned him like coconut... hard from outside but soft from inside.....
