Geet serial torture me nowdays. . . - Page 2

I understand u dear, and also that in real life, not all is rosy. But u must also understand that serials, etc are d only source of entertainment and escape fro m troubles of our daily lives. There is nothign wrong in loving d fantasies, whn u do understand that it is just a fantasy and it has to be enjoyed like that!! I atke it that most fans of Geet and other serials are mature enough to understand this.

Then, real life is enough to be tensed about, so y give ourselves one more source to cry?

heatbreaks are not uncommon, and many people will understand ur feelings, I also do, from my own experience! But then , i guess you will have to give urself some more time to understand this fact, to take fantasy as a fantasy, and plzzz enjoy life!Love to you. 😊

We can understand your hurt and many be once you would have chased by a man / boy in a filmy way and he would have later turned out to be like Dev. But yaar, in these days even a high school going girl knows what is fiction, what is real & what is fantacy. All these girl adore the Edwin Cullin of Twilight knowing very well that it is a character and that too a vampire. Girls love jacob from the same film, who is a warewolf. Do you think they will think they are real. They know it is fantasy and they don't get a vampire as their love but still they quote them in all their conversation. Should we worry what will happen to them, on watching that. What do you say about Harry Potter?

All those who watch these serials, watch them as stress busters, so we can't see the same Sadoo bosses face yet again @ on TV serial.

Yes, there is a rare case to get a person as good as Maan but still if you really make an effort (by forgetting your past as a nighmare), you can get a best person as a life partner. Be positive & be lively.

i agree with my fellow ians.
See the thing is we all have some problems and to relax and forget about it, some people play sports, some read, some watch TV or movies. we all have our own ways of forgetting the world and getting lost in situations which we can think of solutions for. these dramas have some realistic issues but they are exaggerated so much that most people forget what the real issue they are focusing on.
Some off us at home are dealing with sick parents, family deaths, broken hearts and some problems that are even deeper and tougher, but to escape just for a little bit and see that life can be worse and better at the same time a book, drama, movie, sports any of that is helpful.
many of us are heart broken some in other ways then the usual, but like tanya said, here at IF we find a common topic and just chill, we become friends because of our taste in a show. some people i know think its stupid, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
we are all very kind here and if you even want to just have a casual conversation you can always talk to us here :)
and as far as ur concern for your sister, its only natural. i worry about my little sis as well. I would think i am more of a romantic loving kinda person, but i feel that i can tell the difference between reality and fiction and she can't, but that's where talk's come in handy. I talk to my sister all the time and remind her that all this only looks good when it's fiction, in real life things are much different.
You know sometimes its good to have her watch or read a semi- man hating show/book to show her reality. But remember nothing too dramatic. For example when we watched Rab ne banadi jodi, i told her see how men are in real life they play with your emotions, all men have 2 sides to them and etc... so yea. hope i didn't offend you or upset you. take care and cheer up. life is brighter if the sun is shining and the sun shines when we smile. so smile, live life to the fullest.

The main reason we all watch these serials is because these typical things do not happen in real life....We will want to see something that we haven't seen earlier and that is what attracts us...!!! Who cares ke meri life really kya ho raha hai...and who cares ke Maan jaisa insaan kaise business deals karta hai ya kya nashta karta hai or Geet ne kaun se subjects liye the school me...We watch it to break the monotony of OUR OWN life....!!!!

Sorry if i hurt ur feelings...but it is just my concern which spose...PESSIMISM GIVES NOTHING BUT PAIN........

first of all when did it NOT torture you? I thought the sight of drashti made you cringe! But must I remind you that this show is clear fiction!!! Key word: FICTION! So all the illogic you're drawing applies to it b/c it's just a story!
But I know someone who's had 1st hand experience like geet's experience and even she fell in love again, of course the guy wasn't a billionaire or as smooth as Maan! But he supported her, loved her, and took care of her just like Maan does for Geet! There might not be a guy exactly like Maan but shows and fiction try to represent some reality of life...and there are caring, supportive, standing up for the truth kind of guys!

Well, yes, sometimes even I think, that many people might actually fall for mills and boons stories and get their heart broken. but you can't stop loving na? By avoiding all things romantic, you are simply going to accept that you have been defeated by that jerk who hurt you-even worse, it will be a sign that he achieved what he intended to. Don't indirectly give him the satisfaction of doing that. Prove to him that you can find someone else who actually values you, and that because of his jerk-iness, you've not lost your faith in romance. and please don't try to make your sister a cynic too.
There was a guy who took a butterfly out of a cocoon before it matured...thinking he would absolve it of the pain. Instead it remained crippled its whole life and did not ever fly. don't do that with your sis-and especially not with urself.

As for Geet...well, if we stop believing in all the Maans of the world, than all of us girls will end up eighty with an equal amount of cats... 😆 And even if Maan is never meant to be in any guy in real life, might as well as enjoy it on TV. 😉 Trust me...Maan is enough to make you forget that guy... 😆
