Move the storyline. Gurmeet get diction lessons (pg6) - Page 4

Gurmeet is doing superb work as maan, his eyes speaks more then him and that's what I like about him, but as u said I too feel his English Diction can be more good, from the initial days of the show I felt that but couldn't say coz... Many fans can feel offensive but he really needs to improve it. Other then that I don't find any problem in his Hindi diction(may be coz I am weak in Hindi coz I am not Indian) , as per his character he have strong voice and it suits him.

😆...Well am happy at least some one made the post on it...😆....I have also noticed this thing that his diction in quite poor!!....Especially the English one.....Hindi mein toh chal jata hai wo jaise bhi bole 'coz Hindi toh thodi village touch mein bhi bolein toh kharab nahi lagti.....par English, 😆.....oh man it's a language of the foreign land and if you are speaking it, please try to maintain it's grace!
Gurmeet seriously need to polish his spoken english.....You know when i came to know that Gurmeet is Mr. Jabalpur, i thought he might be that sauve n dashing kinda dude.....but when i actually saw him, i found he is not upto the mark...i mean he is fine looking....and his acting skills are good (actually this is his only saving grace.....that he emotes very well....and that's why his other flaws get hidden to some extent)....but his English!!....😆.....Oh man, he needs serious english lessons!!...😆.....I remember once he spoke the dialogue while shouting on his office staff...the dialogue was,'' Go back to your seats everyone''.......it really sounded very cheap the way he spoke......
As for the show's track, well i don't watch Geet (and the reason is this only i.e. they keep on stretching the tracks to the limit of nonsense and irritation...)...so i decided better not watch it, than to crib over it!!😉.....But still sometimes i catch a glimpse or two of it.....and that's why i know about Gurmeet's pronunciation problem...😳

i wudn't say its a BAD thing. the storyline xually can be accepted in p.o.v. itz progressin pretty steadily. 😊

I can't speak about the Hindi, but I can say that he needs to bring some finesse into his english. Correct me if I am wrong but he is supposed to have lived in Canada for a significant time. Enough time to have learnt the Canadian way of speaking. So if they add an "eh" here and there and make him speak a little more english, the story about him being from Canada could be more believable.

I agree that Gurmeet's english bad...... but he has amazing screen presence.... However stylish Dev is you never notice him when he is with Maan..... You nust have noticed that CVs use some other voice for Maan when he is thinking..... I think the best thing as of now is make some one speak english dialogues and edit it accordingly..... Meantime Gurmeet can work on his language.... when dubbing is so common in movies why not in serial..... But only english dialogues..... he has an amazing voice......... don't want to loose it....... come on Gurmeet you can do this

I am an Indian and was born and raised in Vancouver,Canada and i have a Canadian accent, No one says "eh" at the end of a sentence and its just a stereotype made by Americans and the rest of the world.

i'm an american u noe. nd that's not tru. i'm afraid u used the wrong word to describe the expression. its a colliquial expression used commonly thru out English speaking countries nd possibly other countries as wel.

I dont have anything to say abt d storyline coz i yet to see where d HP track heading to..But as of now what dey've showed,its fine:)n really fine comparing other show's storyline..

& about Gurmeet's diction..Umm i wish u were a bit polite wid ur words..(May be den i could also wellcome ur post :P ) Acc Gurmeet's diction concerned-His PD,it says-"HE did his studies from JABALPUR !!!!."I i think its not a big place or so (Sorry i dont know coz im not 4m India) im sure not many ppl der use english as der regular language..
Every1 has got diction problem..N der is nothing wrong when d person trying to improve d thing in which he's not perfect..So der is nothing to be harsh on him or make a post abt..If u really think,den yes,it is offensive :) U had various polite way to state ur words..

Im not saying this bcoz im a fan of GC but coz he has his own blog here n if by chance he reads it,he would be really embarrased..

One should support when someone trying to improve,not criticize knowing d fact he's trying to improve..

ur post was a bit rude....dont mind....be a little more polite....guru certainly has a prob with his english diction no doubt but we all hv our shortcomings....but i am sure he is working on it....if u notice his english has improved since earlier days of geet....also dialogue writer tries to give him as much of less english as possible....otherwise in today's shows young ppl use lot of english words wen they talk....

as for his expressions....i really dunno how u can complain on that...one thing for which i consider him first rate is his acting...and he is superb at that....as for 5 and half expressions that goes with the character MSK....look....u hv to judge the character he is playing....MSK is not someone to react in every situation in life....only geet is someone who moves him....

as for the story...it is far substantial that other daily soaps....maneet love story didnt seem to be dragging to me....a reserved and girl-hater guy like maan cant fall in love overnite and geet who is pregnant also cant fall for maan so soon....for both of them it was natural to take a bit more time than regular lovers to realise their feelings for each other...
as of now that they r at a stage wen they both r certain about their feelings....story will sure move forward....this hoshiarpur trip will be the turning point....

as far as I remember,it has never been mentioned in the show that maan stayed in Cannada.in fact nothing has been mentioned about his living abroad,be it Cannada or any other place.
