i dont think so....the difference is somewhat due to his voice which is every indian problem..............we try to speak it correctly but cant bcoz there is slight heaviness in our voice......esp northern indians..punjabi,jaat,rajasthani......its very common in them...........and alo i have so many relatives in canada ,and i totallly disagreethat they have very good communication skillls if they lives there.........its totally false......

Its not about Gurmeet the person.. But Mann the character. Gurmeet can speak in whatever accent he wants... Jabalpuri, Bihari, Punjabi.. I dont care....but when he is MANN he is character..and that character does not seem polished enough because of the way he speaks. And it IS NOT ABOUT English. It is HINDI, URDU,,, Come one, the best actors take diction lessons.. it will only make him better, which is what I want to see. And I watched this serial ong enough to that he is not improving. I wish he would...

Mann is a very very strong character, a man who knows his mind, a man of the world, a man dreams are made of. The problem is Gurmeet as Mann looks awesome.. but when he starts speaking it tough to imagine him as this MAN OF THE WORLD MANN. I love all the scenes he is the strong silent type.. the Dargah scene, martial arts scenes... when he looks at Geet in this 'melt-your-insides way' and By the way Gurmeet has the most beautiful hands for a man....BUT when he has these long lines... sorry BUT EEEEEEEKS

And come one guys... we all want him to do well because as someone rightly pointed out ... he is the HOTTEST guys on TV and his eyes are SUPER SUPER expressive. Imagine if he were able to modulate his language..how much more awesome he would be

When Gurmeet is on screen I dont even notice what he is saying all my attention is on looking!!!

As for the plot yes its dragging now. Dev is a smarmy git.

I can't speak about the Hindi, but I can say that he needs to bring some finesse into his english. Correct me if I am wrong but he is supposed to have lived in Canada for a significant time. Enough time to have learnt the Canadian way of speaking. So if they add an "eh" here and there and make him speak a little more english, the story about him being from Canada could be more believable.

Superchild, no offense to you, but that was so stereotypical...Mimicking a Canadian accent does not mean you put an "eh" everytime you speak...I know because I'm Canadian, and I don't put "eh" in my sentences.

No problems with his acting. He deserves 100/10 for his acting. By far, the best actor on television right now.

and i put eh at end of my sentences and i am not Canadian...

accent i think is an individual's way of speaking....how many actually speak Queen's English..not even the English...they have different accents too... call it cockney, jordie..whatever else...

so him speaking with an accent is so individual...dont south indians have an accent different from a gujarati person...and so is the way a bengali would speak...it changes with region...

and who says...all actors have to speak perfect english..we are indians and it is a hindi serial...
he speaks Hindi fluently.. and that is how it should be if he had an accent in Hindi now that would have sounded so..fake...

guys..enjoy serial..rather than getting into semantics... see the big pitcure..tune out the noise and hear the music...the melody..

Its a beautiful life... just as U2 says..

Look at it this way, it's a daily...it has to drag...what else do u want!!!

If Geet is not saying I love to Mann what is stopping him from telling
her he loves her.. lets see what happens when he says it...

Also, he has to know the resason why she is saying no.. her not telling
him and yet making cow's eyes at him all the time makes her a TEASE, not
a strong female character she is supposed to be



Gurmeet aka Maan needs serious diction lessons-- in hindi and english.
He looks hot but when he opens his mouth....eeeks.

The other guy who plays Dev is much cooler and more classier.. the way a
rich Delhi dude is supposed to be.. Gurmeet dude you are hot... but
please move out of the 5 and 1/2 expressions you have and work on your
language and dialoge delivery... you need it

Well pointed.. his dialogue delivery sometimes a put off to the scene, mainly bec of his language .. he is a good actor though..
