"Did you check out the new promo?" Red asked earnestly. Red was the perpetual celebrity since every day (or night) started with a view of Red splashing happily next to the title card.
"Yeah I did", Sky blue sighed in a dreamy haze.
"What about it?" Magenta questioned.
"I guess it's my turn", Sky blue responded hyperventilating at the thought of him.
"What's going on?" Black demanded. A hush fell around.
"Sky blue is the chosen one this time", White softly answered.
"Sky blue, I hope you don't disappoint us and please try not to ruin the moment", Black said rather viciously.
"I am sure Sky blue will perform brilliantly tomorrow", White said rather serenely.
It was well known fact that Black wasn't part of many ground breaking moments unlike White, so Black and White always fought for dominance.
"It is possible that a part of you might get interwoven around a button, belt buckle or some random object but please be patient", Orange said demurely.
Orange had witnessed a life altering moment but was mildly disappointed that finally it was Red which made all the difference post realization. Orange was hurt after seeing many fan girls hyperventilating over the scenes watching Red again and again being stuck in his jacket button.
Orange is all set to post in a petition for more screen space and denying of its basic rights. Red already was posing on daily basis when title was shown and also when promos were shown; while Orange was given only one song sequence and even after an amazing song, he hadn't even come close to it. Forget coming close, he was not even in the entire episode. It simply wasn't done. (Orange requests all the readers to kindly pressurize the CVs so that next time, Orange will be the chosen one. Thank you very much.)
Magenta had the sheer dumb luck of being at the right place at the right time (I mean seriously, who in their right frigging mind would have thought that at 3 AM the moment for which they strive for had come?) had the record of being in his hand for the longest length of time (Yeah, the duration he holds it is measured and is directly proportional to popularity status.). It wasn't a wonder that the others were blatantly jealous of Magenta.
Green had come close a few times but was never lucky. Green was always green with envy at others. Seriously was in dire need of a break.
Yellow always smirked at Green and gloated being on top of him literally for few moments. Of course it was a long time ago and happened when things weren't all that nice and let's face it; it wasn't a good time. But still, it was an awesome moment. Or so Yellow tried to convince when Beaded Blue scoffed; of course Beaded Blue was the first. So by default Beaded Blue got more exposure than anyone and had great respect from the clan. But still it was always next to White.
"You will be okay right Sky Blue?" Dark blue tentatively asked. Dark blue or also nicknamed Midnight Blue after it spent an entire night in his presence was the most alluring of the lot. Dark blue generally didn't mingle much yet was highly respected by its peers. Dark blue was glad that Sky blue was finally getting chance. Sky blue softened everything it settled on and the brightness of the hallway made Sky blue look even lovelier.
While the entire clan, whose only motive was to somehow or the other end up in his hand or at least his presence, were discussing about Sky blue's lucky day, Sky blue had fallen quiet.
Sky blue simply stared at the picture where the border part of it was coolly settled in his hands.
And it looked like another ground breaking moment.
What more can a dupatta ask for?
