Setting the Record Straight

Okay girls! I don't wanna play spoilsport!

But seriously,

Don't you think Maan needs to know about Geet's marital status and pregnancy before all these ROMANTIC INTERLUDES?

I know we are dying to see some romance between our lovely couple, BUT, excuse me, is that not like MAAN is being taken for a ride? Or falling under GEET's magic under false premises?

Come on, the guy is getting lost in her eyes, the come on glances from GEET, she gets lost in his eyes, the light touches that are electric to both in so many of the instances such as the files scene etc.,

Okay, she is trying to tell him and getting cut off, but is that reason enough for the guy to not get an inkling at least of the truth or some smattering of the truth.

Can't all these eye locks, passionate interludes be postponed for a later date?

I tell ya, I like these scenes, but it is like putting the chicken before the egg or is that the egg before the chicken?

Now I am confused!

What were we speaking?

Oh yeah!

I think time has come for MAAN to be revealed the truth of Geet's (fake) marital status and pregnancy any which way, either directly through Geet or through third party intervention or plain old circumstances or circumstantial evidence.

So, now don't get all procrastination-al on me girls, we need to resolve this sooner than later when it is gonna be messier.

If I was falling for a guy per se, I would surely set the record straight in the first instance whether he listens or not, whether he likes it or not.

I would not willfully meet eye to eye with him unless I really see eye to eye with him on the matter on hand.

I remain,
your friendly foe

I read your words (they were splendid) and I want to say I agree but my heart wants more Maaneet scenes. 😆 Not only romance but nokjhok and just their talks. When the truth comes out, it will be all angst and likely separation!!
I am torn between the story line and just wanting to watch the characters together. 😕

hey...

good one..and yes...it would be ideal thing and the right thing...but...you see..this love has happened..unknown to them..they are fighting it and yes..before their romance actually takes off..they will crash land...

that's the reality of it...enjoy the interlude while it last..cos it wont last for long..

after that we will literally be asking them for some romance..even a look..forget the eye lock..between..them...

Glad to see your comment darl! I understand where you are coming from Vrusha. But they just gave us "Teri Deewani" They can space out the romance better before following through with such breakneck speed and leaving the other things hanging in thin air.

Why can't we have equal doses of the good, the bad, and the ugly. Is that not what good story telling is about? Rather than give us all the good things at a go, then give us a dose of cruel reality, and again get back to square zero?

Bridge,

I know where you are coming from. Yes, having these delicious moments are nice but when you look at it there are a lot of things unsaid between these two. For example Maan gave justification for his words, but did not tell the actual reason as to why he was so disturbed seeing her smile. There are so many things that these two don't know about each other. Maan about Dev and Geet about Sameera. Maan is falling in love with Geet, her innocence and her honesty so I don't think there are any false pretences here.

But darling, this is a show and things happen at their own pace. Yes, no use procrastinating. The way I look at is the CVs are building a platform - a relationship if I may say - between Maan and Geet. Attraction is a part of it. Guess when the axe does fall, Maan will find it easier to understand her. Or maybe it is that Maan loves Geet for herself notwithstanding her past?? I think we just enjoy these moments for once Geet meets Dev all the angst and misery will be back.

I wanna answer one question that came off randomly to my mind

Why is the onus on the woman to explain her past and not on the man?

In answer to that I say, a woman has more at stake to lose, while a man can get off with nearly anything excepting murder or pilferage.

I think it is in the woman's best interests to be above board. Rather than be called as under hand once time has passed or circumstances prevail to make it impossible to not continue in the same vein.

I agree Ash! But my problem is in timing of the revelation! I love the scenario that you penned of Maan loving Geet despite or inspite of her past. That could happen, provided Maan Singh Khurana takes a heavy dose of chill pills
