Why can't we have equal doses of the good, the bad, and the ugly. Is that not what good story telling is about? Rather than give us all the good things at a go, then give us a dose of cruel reality, and again get back to square zero?

oh so true bri...

you know..all the serial are so driven by TRP that they lose track..of what they want to do...once they taste blood (TRP) they dont want to let go..who would?...but...there are audiences who divide them pull them in different directions...

the one side wants...what suits their senses, other want to see how the story unveils..like you and me...the logical people who analyse and yeah dont go by my dreamy scenes...i do love them..and do the scenes but i am not blind to the treatments...they give..

they will do everything..it takes to make a show successful..you know why the dargah scene came up right...realistically Ramzan is here and they need to celebrate all festivals... all serials do it..so yes it is prayer time so it was in there..i did not say anything because you see everyone knows that so why say the obvious... they did lodi, now this next they will do garba, krishna jayanti..well everything in short...

so yeah..it is a number game..and they have to play by the rules...else they lose audience...which i believe was at the start of the show..where they stuck to their guns and showed exactly how a girl fall prey to the so called NRI grooms...the storyline was based on reality..there were disclaimer scrolling at the bottom of the screen...now how come no disclaimer comes when office romance is shown?

so yeah..everything..is related to the big three letters...

my i have ranted...i dont like to say much...because..i know..how it works...the way...it really is...and look the other way and concentrate on the high points....i leave my head aside sometimes..just live in the moment...enjoy a few nice scenes...

Nice post Bridgette! Yeah under normal circumstances obviously we would do what u suggested but here Geet only came to know now that she feels more than it shows for Maan. Till y'day, she I think, didn't feel anything special, I mean eye locks & those fleeting touches were ok, but did she really 'feel feel' anything about Maan? Its only now she is seeing him in a special 'a la mode' Maan style! 😃 I know last week in that damp hair scene she did feel something but never realised about it. She almost blurted out about her past to Maan in the office room when they were locked but Maan stopped her. But now I think when she will decide to tell him everything the truth wil be out in a nasty way & voila a bad angry, humiliating separation will be at our doorstep. So I will enjoy these scenes to the hilt whatever little of them we will get before that happens.

In answer to that I say, a woman has more at stake to lose, while a man can get off with nearly anything excepting murder or pilferage.

I think it is in the woman's best interests to be above board. Rather than be called as under hand once time has passed or circumstances prevail to make it impossible to not continue in the same vein.

Bridge, it has always been a male dominated society.... But I would say the onus of explaning their pasts lies equally with both man and woman.. You are right, a woman has more at stake maybe because from time immemorable woman has always been given the stature of maintaining the honour and has always been given the stature of being pure??

More than the purity of the body isn't it the purity of the soul that should matter? I guess we will never find the answer.

I understand where u r coming from but Bridgette the cvs want Maan to fall in luv with Geet b4 the truth is exposed. By doing this the cvs will make us keep guessing what will happen later: will Maan support Geet or not?? The one ques we have all been discussing forr months now.... by showing the romance now they r ensuring that Maan's luv deepens with every shared closeness with Geet making it harder for him to resist later.... these moments are bringing them closer and making Maaneet realize how special both of them are for each other

I am with you on this, it is best to concentrate on the high points and leave our expectations behind or our logic too :-). Thanks Vrusha. Oh man! reading your scenes! Will comment there

Hope not! Just hope they don't make the pregnancy track nasty and belittling to Geet,

Absolutely for the words in blue! Absolutely, no doubts about that! But will we ever see that etched out in our living rooms? Can this serial rework the math?

For the words in red, guess it has to do with the fact that you mentioned as well as the fact that "woman" is for ages tied in to the sacred/sacred mother/sacred virgin or whatever the concept that all religions keep on espousing. It is bigoted and misogynistic but that is how they keep it in India till date in some tradition bound societies right.

Will there ever be a day when they say that "a woman is chaste in spirit, soul and mind? even if she may not be chaste in her body or mores?" Well! I guess we need to find an alternative universe for that or a copybook/story book man for that!

Sorry for ranting so much on this subject!

Well said Mahi! You know that reminds me I was thinking that if the guy loves her beyond all boundaries he should be able to take her past in his stride and only see her pain rather than the so-called societal mores that he already relegated to the dustbin

Well as much as we don't want it to happen I think it will. Naintara won't let Geet off the hook so easily. I have no idea how she will besmear Geet's reputation but I am sure she will. And Dev will also play along I think just to avoid Maan's wrath all over again. But here the question will be how will Maan take it all? Will he believe Geet over Dev & NT? How will dadi react to all this & will that carry some weight on Maan's reaction as well, which I hope is not the case!
I am loving every moment of the show & till now feel the CV's have kept it unique from the other shows & sincerely hope they will do so in future as well.
It will be interesting to see if Maan in front of everyone accepts Geet with all her baggages & gets ready to marry Geet & give her baby his name. And after marriage how they r slowly taking their time to make things normal between them & really acknowledging their love for each other slowly, that will be an amazing scenario but doubt if that will be followed. So as I said for now I will enjoy these scenes whatever little we will get.
