Abhinav Shukla Ridicules Paul- The Oracle
He's been hailed by the whole world as psychic Paul, but Abhinav Shukla, a.k.a Dev of 'Geet', isn't ready to buy it. In fact, Shukla has completely ridiculed Paul and his powers.
For those uninitiated, Paul is an octopus from Germany, who made headlines all over the word for his 100 percent correct predictions during the FIFA World Cup 2010 matches.
"Honestly, this is all crap to me. The octopus isn't really predicting. They've put flags inside his tank. Paul doesn't have any idea as to what he's doing. He has a life of his own. The media has gone overboard with the whole thing. Miracles do happen but, I like to believe in things that are scientifically proved," said Shukla.
Citing an example, he says, "Years back, news of Ganesh idols drinking milk spread like fire. My mother, who is very devout, took me to the temple. Out there were hundreds of people feeding the idol thinking that Ganesh was really drinking it. They wasted tons of milk that went down the drain. The problem is the media. Once they rake up an issue, such things are built up to be a phenomenon."
"Before we assume it to be true, I'd like to read a scientific thesis on this Paul and his powers. .If at all, we need prediction, then I'd like to ask Paul when this country will be free of corruption and bureaucracy. Can Paul do that? I have my doubts," the actor concludes.
