no comparison between the 2 characters becoz they r as different as chalk and cheese, but as far as GC's acting is concerned,he was equally good as Lord Ram as he is as maan.Gurmeet portrayed the emotions so well in Ramayan,he totally changed his way of speaking, body language, hand gestures-everything,and now as maan-again,he has totally moulded himself into that character.he is such a versatile actor. As Lord Ram,his face had such a divine and serene expression that i can't believe he plays maan so perfectly.the way -so pure,Lord Ram looked at Sitaji-but full of love, respect and admiration, and as maan, when he looks at geet,u can again see love respect and admiration but still both the looks are so different-this is possible only for a versatile actor like Gurmeet.personally,i feel, his acting skills were much better exploited in Ramayan than in geet becoz he got to portray every emotion there-he started with the serene and innocent prince, then a man in love, then a dutifull son-he was brilliant in those scenes just before the banwas, the angry husband(again exceptionally portrayed by him, there is so much difference between his angry expressions there and in geet-in geet,he portrays raw anger becoz thats what MSK is like, but in Ramayan, his expressions were apt as Lord Ram),and personally i feel he was at his best during the extreme emotional scenes leading to Sitaji's banwaas, and after that.the scene with Luv Kush was fantastic-and GC was stupendous in it,the pain, helplessness, shock, anger at himself-o God,he was terrific.

in Geet, till now, his anger and aggressiveness, his attitude, and romantic side(both passionate and soft) has been explored, and he has been fantastic in that.he has also done some good subtle comedy.drashti's character gives her the scope to be overtly comic but GC always has to do it subtly, and GC has been good at that subtle comedy.however,i feel GC has not been given the opportunity to portray emotional scenes much-except the disco scene, the pregnancy revealation scene, the office misunderstanding scene, and the scene where he confesses about his decision of choosing geet's life over the baby's-he,of course was brilliant, fantastic in all these scenes, thats why i wanna see more of such emotional scenes becoz GC is terrific in these scenes, there were tons of such scenes in Ramayan, and he was so good in them.oh,i forgot to mention two of his best performances in geet-the episode where maan is ashamed of his behaviour with geet at the pool party, and the sonography scene, andalso the conversation after that-GC was ...well...i hv run out of adjectives.

well,i hv deviated from the topic, may be,but my point was,he was terrific as Lord Ram,and he is brilliant as maan also.

but obviously,he looks hot as maan.but,he carried Lord Ram's look perfectly,my mom is a great admirer of his performance in Ramayan and even my dad admits that he looked perfect as Lord Ram.

👏 You said this soooo perfectly that you ekdum exactly expressed my thoughts, except you did it so much better than I could have ever done! I don't think a comparison is needed - the characters are so different, although, in a way, I think Maan also is very much following dharm as SriRam would always do. The main thing is that both characters are portrayed by such a superb actor that people find it difficult to believe it is the same man. Hats off to GC, so much talent, such beautiful looks - this must be a blessing from God!

@bhakti,thanks for appreciating what i said.u r absolutely right, when i see the divine serenity and softness in his face in Ramayan,i can't believe that this is the same guy who keeps a stern and angry face in geet,i get scared of his anger in geet, and in Ramayan, there is so much peace on his face-bravo Gurmeet bravo,u r the besttttt.

love him as both character, i mean who wouldnt love this suave, dashing, gorgeous, hot, handsome, full of attitude, arrogance and angry young man with a heart of gold and full of sanskar ;):)

but he also rocked as ram.. he is the best ram ever!!! though his looks are very different from maan's.. he portrayed ram very well..soft spoken, handsome, always calm and smiling!

hayyyyyyyyeeee... debina is one lucky girl!

I voted for GC as Maan because he showed so many different shades of emotions and many different styles, many different characteristics as Maan than as Ram. I had loved his acting in Ramayan too but GC as Maan got a chance to show his talent in many shades.
