I agree about the take on Geet's hug. She hugged him for comfort, seeking solace from her pain, but I feel Maan's hug was not only about passion. Yes, he surrendered to his feelings which were bottled up for so long but I also felt that in his hug there was the element of tenderness and care. Watch the way he held her head with one hand as he wrapped his other arm around her. It is as though he wanted to comfort her as much as he wanted to give in to his feelings. Her pained look hurt him and moved him into wanting to protect her. If it was only passion from his side then he would have enveloped her fully, both arms around her waist, not one around her head and the other around her waist.

What I love about Maan's love is that it is not self obsessed but is deeply caring. Every emotion of Geet, be it happiness or sorrow affects him. Her pain affected him and he wanted to convey to her that he was there for her.

yes this is the second time he has shown her pain affects him by returning her hug, he had hugged her protectively when she was almost killed and now when she was crying in the rain...

he knows it is her pain that is his undoing, his love manifests itself into protective shield for Geet, even he does not know completely but now he had admitted to her changing him, the journey will be how much change, change him enough to love her, to accept her past, or will his first instinct be to retreat back into the shell he had around him, she has cracked it...will it break completely..

Opti and Rush, I think both of you put it real great...he cares deeply for her and her tears and smiles effect him. Will his love make him accept her past...I think that is a moot point...no matter whatever it is about her...he will accept

I agree that eventually he will accept her....but initially there will be a lot of hurt for him.....He looks like he has jumped in with everything....lets hope he is able to understand and accept sooner rather than later. This will all depend on how he comes to know about Geet's entire past.....and if he comes to know that Dev is the culprit! Lets see what happens!!

I totally agree!!
Wat I fail to understand is... She not understanding maan's feeling at all... Maan kind of knew that she hugged in pain!!! Ok. Bbut geet can't use her brain to understand wat went through maan during the hug!! She should at least give ait a thought.. For maan's sake !!!,

So far we have seen Maan react almost instantenously to whatever situation he confronts. He does not think things through till later. So when he faces Geet's truth, he will react rashly and may even hurt her with his biting words but I think when he is calm he will try to put together the various pieces of the jigsaw puzzle that is Geet. He has not dealt much with her past in Hoshiarpur because he has been preoccupied by her present but when Geet's pregnancy comes out in the open he will try to dig her past and sure enough he will realise that she is not to be blamed. I am sure his love is strong enough to accept her with the baby. After all the baby is now a part of her and if he trully loves her, he will accept her lock, stock and barrel.

I agree Opti...he will accept her Lock stock and barrel....but the question is how long will this process take...and how will go about convincing Geet to marry him?? I have some ideas of my own on how i think this should happen, but I am interested in knowing what others think...? How do you think he will convince Geet to marry him??

Operation Geet hunt begins and he will make all monkey efforts to win Geet. He might take TIPS from his Dadi maa, help from Adi & Pinky to get close to Geet. That would be nice to watch.

i guess, at that point she was too disturbed by her past. and she knows it too , that maan has been with her all through her struggle. he's been her knight in shining armor whenever she was in trouble. she probably just thought of the hug as maan's way of comforting her, consoling her. she knows waht kind of a person he is, so she would definitely not think maan would have hugged her for reasons other than just making her feel better. so, she does not have any idea what impact that hug has on maan like the others have suggested.
but may be after seeing maan so confused and quiet in the office she might want to talk to him about what happened ...!!!! but geet recollecting the hug, when adi wonders what happened to maan was i guess an indication that she suspects something could have gone wrong because of the hug. but that again, could get over-ruled by geet, because she might think that he does not let anything affect him.
