i guess, at that point she was too disturbed by her past. and she knows it too , that maan has been with her all through her struggle. he's been her knight in shining armor whenever she was in trouble. she probably just thought of the hug as maan's way of comforting her, consoling her. she knows waht kind of a person he is, so she would definitely not think maan would have hugged her for reasons other than just making her feel better. so, she does not have any idea what impact that hug has on maan like the others have suggested.
but may be after seeing maan so confused and quiet in the office she might want to talk to him about what happened ...!!!! but geet recollecting the hug, when adi wonders what happened to maan was i guess an indication that she suspects something could have gone wrong because of the hug. but that again, could get over-ruled by geet, because she might think that he does not let anything affect him.

Really very well said Nargis .....I agree ....for geet it was just a comfort a shoulder to cry on which she always finds in Maan. She is getting more and more physically and mentally comfortable with him whereas its exactly the opposite with Maan. Back in the village when Geet had hugged him at that time he hugged her back to console her but this time for him it was much more than consoling .....it was like ..he dont want to let her go and want to stay like this forever. For him it was passion and love and the acceptance of something strong that he started to feel for her. .......so yeah 2 diff perspectives for sure ...and still the hug was electrifying ...imagine when even geet would fall him ...tab kya hoga 😍

People asking asking why Maan is so affected but Geet is not??? Here is my take...

I think Geet realizes that what happened should not have happened...from her perspective....she realizes that it was no..no...but she has no idea the impact that the HUG had on Maan.... so true. she has been trying her level best to come to terms with everything that happened in her life for the past few days. but, there are certain memories that are etched so deep in her heart that no matter how hard she's trying, she ends up coming back to the same point - remembering dev. and at that moment , when maan asks her what happened, she could not convert her tears to words. she just gave into the situation. answering maan's question was not her priority, . she felt weak and vulnerable at that moment. it was her past that was doing that to her. she just wanted someone to share her pain then and who could have done that better than maan ?? she thinks maan hugged her back just to comfort her. she knows what kind of a person he is and so she definitely would not think he had other intentions than making her feel better.

the shedding of the denial for Maan was a result of he HUG. He gave his entire being in that HUG because of his feelings for Geet.....Geet also gave herself in that HUG....but for one...she is normally a more giving person than Maan is, and two....she hugged him to forget her pain...to share her pain so so say....I don't think she had any ROMANTIC connotations attached to that HUG....BUT for MAAN....it was the EPITOME of ROMANCE......his connection to his heart is thru that hug. he knew she was sad. and she hugged him because she wanted to share her pain. he knows she doe snot feel what he feels for her. the initial hesitation to put his hands around her indicates the struggle between his heart and mind. and then finally he had to give in. his life changed after that hug. he realized he's never going to be the same again. to him, the hug was more than just comforting her and telling her he'd be there for ever till death do them apart.

I don't know if this makes sense....I did ramble on a lot....but EACH is right in their own perspectives...Geet HUGGED him to share her pain...because it overwhelmed her...and he participated in the HUG as a culmination of all of his feelings for her....2 different motives for the same HUG!!😉 lovely post. 👏...its lovely how u analyzed their perspectives and got all of us t thinking. there was something to the hug, much more than just romance and chemistry. and that's what you've highlighted in your post. for maan, it was his realization and for geet it was just sharing her pain.
