I think naturally the middle child sub se tez hota hain...this surely applies to Vicky...Is mamle mein who apne vadde veerji se bhaut aagey hain!!!!😉

hmm will explore that..i stil have Faz and Adi to work out as well hope i shall do justice to them all..
right now...its vicky, Maan, Abs and you..who have captured my attention completely...notwithstanding the onslaught of fantastic stuff from CVs on Maan and Geet...of course...
i shall get back to work..now...hmmm its almost 1am but god am i driven...

Chapter 5

Vicky was late for the meeting with the lawyer who was coming from the New York firm that they had working out the details for the new contract with an important client and he was specifically here from Paris to discuss and then sign the contract as maan was not going to make it for the same.

When he reached the 15^th floor office in Trinity Building holding his Starbucks coffee in one hand and his laptop in other, he was not expecting the lawyer to have come and gone. He was informed by Jenny that the lawyer had come waited for half an hour and left. The papers were there for review in his office and the lawyer had left a message that this week was convenient once a reschedule of the appointment was done.

Vicky not happy with the attitude of the lawyer, asked Jenny to call the lawyer's office and get the lawyer to come again in the afternoon or he could go their office.

Vicky got ready with paperwork to leave for Lloyd, Boyd and Floyd Plc on 42^nd street as soon as he heard from Jenny that the lawyer was accommodative to have him go there in an hour.

Muttering to himself about New York traffic and taxis he finally made it to 42^nd street office of the lawyers and was directed to the office of N Sheikh. As he walked towards the office, he saw a familiar face walk towards him. Nargis? here? Oh she was a lawyer so this must be where she worked. He stopped in front of her and said Hi again! Funny how we bump into each other Zeno! We should probably discuss this over lunch, and he looked at the watch, in say half an hour once I finish my business here and looked over Nargis' shoulder to see if the lawyer in question who was meet him was coming to meet him.

Nargis was astounded. What! Chaloo'tum yahan bhi flirt karna nahi choroge? Anyway she looked past him to see if the client was on the way and said. Abhi mere paas time nahi hai to argue with you, I have a client on the way! Vicky said..oh alright sweetheart! Have it your way'I will look you up once I finish.

Nargis thought..if you find me! And walked towards the reception wondering where is the client'

Vicky walked to the office directed to find it empty. He decided to wait in there for few minutes. His back was turned to the door as he sat in the chair waiting for his lawyer to put in an appearance when he heard a familiar voice say from the door Oh! Mr Khurana, how did I miss you in the corridor? As Vicky turned they both said'Tum! Vicky characteristically laughed out loud and slapped his hand on the head. And said..well well well! Ms Sheikh! Nargis smiled and said mr khurana! They both started laughing in earnest now.

As she sat opposite him in the chair across the table still full of mirth and said the world is too small! Who would have thought that you were Mr Vikram Singh Khurana of KB Technologies. I of course have dealt with your brother Maan.

Vicky said You betcha! Aren't you glad it was not a stranger afterall that you'he stopped and said..flew with? Nargis blushed at the reference to their yesterday's little mishap. Changing tack she said,

Anyway, lets discuss the contract. Seeing a businesslike Nargis took his cue and asked pertinent points related to the contract and discussed the changes that should be incorporated in it. Nargis was surprised and impressed with the insight with which Vicky could work on the contract from technical as well as legal stand point. She enjoyed the healthy discussion that ensued some points to air out the technicalities and legal ramifications of the clauses there in.

In an hour, they were both satisfied with the changes in the contract, Nargis, said Alright! Then I shall have these changed done and sent to you for review. Will you be there tomorrow to go over them with the client? On his nod she said Fine. I shall fix an appointment with the lawyer and we can finalise the contract once all the issues are mulled over.

She got up to escort him out of the office when he said.. Zeno, which is a good place around here for lunch? She said you could try the little Italian around the corner. It is famous around these parts. Vicky, picked up his laptop and waited for nargis to join him. He was annoyed when she said, I wont be joining you Vicky. I already have to meet someone for lunch. Thank you anyway. I shall let Jenny know the time of the meeting tomorrow and please don t be late.

Vicky said Hmm! Not happy to think who she could be having lunch with then shrugged his shoulders and said..anyway..some other time..and left..

Nargis was piqued at the abrupt way he always left. She then swept the thought away and picked up her purse to join her sister in law for lunch in the near by bistro like they always did whenever she was in New York.

Vikram got turned down...Hmm why do I suspect he'll join her anyways!

Tume to yehi chaahiye....ke Vicky kaabi bhi mera peech no chode......But I am glad to see that he was disappointed even disheartened at not being able to have lunch with me!!! Awww......bechara.....!!😆

Even you were upset at him leaving so quickly. What did you expect him to do, wait around for what.. taking your receptionist out!😆

Hey, jab khud hi tum dono ek doosre ke saath rehna chahte ho, hum kya karein. Aap dono ki maddad hi toh kareinge! Plus that way I get to pick on Vicky as well or else he wouldn't stop teasing me and Maan!!!😆
