Dadi is somewhat similar to my real life deceased Dadi, who would not have her bahus utter a word of anything that seemed defiance, nor would she really treat the bahus' maayka ppl as equals. Maybe Maan's Dadi was trying to be helpful, but she should have been careful (esp as she the eldest, and she should know) the way she conveyed it, it can be misinterpreted.
While Maan's room is exactly how I had wished for it be: modern contemporary, with practicality (TV..), and pearl white walls (I love this!). Hmm, so a king size bed huh (btw why does he need such a big bed..)?😉 a recliner included. Hmm, I don't know if news is the first thing Maan will listen to in the morning after marriage!😆 Ok Abs, control thy thoughts....
Maan's understanding, just what I expected from my soulmate. Munda knows that if my Papa gets irked (Dad's quite short-tempered!, while I have my mom's temper as I don't burst out that fast yelling), kuri uske naal nahin aawaangi! So he knows he has to get things cleared in Dadi's head before she does blunders on the phone.😆
Another facet of Maan is how he wishes to be treated as an equal, and not superior unlike what his Dadi had said earlier. And yes when he made the heavy handed comment, I instantly thought of Paris when we had our 1st confrontation😆.
Additionally, it's sweet to see how the Maan-Abs relationship has so much trust already. Abs is able to clearly say she's been hurt by Maan and his Dadi. She doesn't sugar coat anything when speaking with him privately, which denonstrates honesty and faith in Maan. Moreover, she holds her self-esteem and of her family in high regard, and won't let anyone trample on it. Now that's the modern day woman!😃
Now though Maan has pacified me, he still needs to get things across in Dadi's head.
Vicky's a darling Devar. So sweet of him to offer help. I guess he too realized that Dadi ki Hitlershahi kaheen banta hua kaam na bigaad de! And thank you Vicky and Nargis for leaving us alone so we could discuss. We'll keep this in mind when you two need your quiet time.😳
Hmm, the ending lines of this update are crucial. I won't forget what happened as it is etched in my memory now. Dadi's behaviour has caused a mental block in my mind which now will prevent me from getting close to her. Maybe Nargis will fair better than me. Good Luck Nargis!
However, I have vowed to get Maan's mom back to normalcy. I see developing a warm relation w/ her as I feel life's been unfair to her. Maybe Mummy ji will be the one teaching me a bit of Punjabi that I can suprise Maan with when we're in Greece!😆
Ab dekhte hain Vicky ji kaise control rakhte hain. Afterall he did want to scoop Nargis right in the morning but refrained because of Dadi! Maybe Nups meets a business partner of Vicky at his wedding, and she gets hooked to that business partner later on!
