Nargis said..Bhagna? why would I be running..but something seemed different about Vicky after that call..something that nagged at Nargis but she could not put her finger on it. Vicky seemed to become a little unaware of her. She didn't like that..already thoughts of not satisfying him were coming to her mind.

Its pretty freeky...when a GUY like Vicky...Super Cool, Debonair, Confident Flirt...says this..."tum bhag jaana chahati ho"......No wonder I am confused...why would he say that....and beside...why would I run from him.....he has just showed me how much I mean to him....and he to me.....so why that Glib comment??? Yeh Ladka bhi na....kabhi kabhi to kuch nahi samaj aata hain......vaaki mein muje paagal kar de ga!!!😕

Since the call from Maan...he has been the same again....himself...the carefree Vicky with not a worry in the world...He was elusive during the whole flight to Delhi....koi chance bhi nahi maaraa....no stolen hugs or kisses.....ones that he is famous for....aur jab muje ghar choda to kuch kaha bhi nahi.....ke kab miloge.....ke muje miss karega....just a plain peck on the cheek......cheek? Something is not right....is it me...is he disappointed with something I did or didn't do...or is it Maan's call that is still bothering him. He and Maan look like they have a good relationship....what is it....what's up with im???

Theek hain....aane do....mein bhi usko sahi maaza chakhaoongi....kabhi na kabhi to meri yaad ya hi jaeygi na......I hope so....tab dekhna.....2 can play this game too....Bilkul usko lift nahi doonghi.....he needs to get a taste of his own medicine!!!😕

Hahaa....very funny!!!! Yes...to batao na yeh showdown kab hoga.....update kab milegi??? I really can't wait to give him a piece of my mind....but that piece has to come from your mind...to your fingers...to the keys on the laptop....to the words on the screen....so jaldi jaldi apna mind or fingers chalao!!!😆

Chapter 16

Nargis had not heard from Vicky for almost a week now. Her logical mind had argued that it was the family and wedding taking precedence, however her heart had questions that usually the old Nargis had never had to deal with. She could not concentrate on any work.

Abs had called as well asking her to join for a shopping session and they had gone out two days back to buy a trousseau. Abs family was expected over the weekend and then the actual ceremony preparations will happen. Abs and Nargis had a good time shopping and were going to meet again today to go for some lingerie shopping. Abs was excited and nervous at the same time and needed moral support.

Nargis did not know she would be of much help but did not want to dampen Abs' enthusiasm. They went to a mall for the lingerie. They had lot of fun, with abs trying the negligee, the bustier and such. She picked a very flimsy babydoll and Nargis had fun teasing her. Nargis had been eyeing a teddy in pale lavender when Abs noticed and said.. Oh! Tum bhi kyon nahi le leti? Nargis just shrugged as if to say mein kya karoongi then thought why shouldn't I indulge in some of these things.

The picked up their packages after delighting themselves with some delectable pieces and went towards a chinese restaurant in the mall where they were going for lunch, when they saw Vicky come towards them and Abs called out, Vicky! Aap yahan? He looked a bit sheepish and came towards them though his usual smile seemed to vanish the minute he saw Nargis with her. Arre Abs, I mean Bhabhi, mein woh.. I wanted something so had come. He was carrying a bag in his hand and Abs asked kya hai? Mere liye koi gift le rahe the. Vicky said..aap rakh lijiye! Gift to nahi hai par yooh hi pasad aa gayee to le li! Offering the package to abs. Abs teased, achcha to larki le liye hai? Vicky glances at Nargis and says'well! aadat hai.. ek friend ke liye li hai par ab aap rakh lo. Abs laughs and says..aise thori na..hum le lenge! I want something'big..Vicky! after all ek hi to devar hai..mera..i will wait for something..better! Then Abs invites Vicky for lunch. He refuses and says, I will see you later, though he is staring at Nargis and then goes away.

Nargis was livid at Vicky not even acknowledging her. Abs did not seem to notice anything between them for which Nargis was grateful but during lunch she kept replaying the look and the gift he seemed to be carrying and remembered how he had carried a gift for the girl in Paris, the first time she had seen him.

Abs felt something change in Nargis after meeting Vicky but thought she should not interfere though she wanted to find Nargis' reaction and said after they had placed their order and were sipping their cold drink.

Vicky bhi bada shaitan hai! God knows kaisi larki hogi jo isse pyar kargi! She noticed a look of pain come over Nargis' face but she seemed to control herself. They had lunch and Nargis made and excuse to go to her office.

Vicky had come to the mall to get a gift for Nargis, as a way of apology for not getting in touch. The situation at home was tensed enough and he didn't know how to deal with what was happening between them.

He decided to go to her office and talk to her. She didn't look very happy to see him. He didn't want anyone to know about them but she had behaved as if they didn't know each other.

Nargis was fuming inside looking at the stack of papers in front of her. She was not getting any work done and just as she thought of going home she heard a knock on the door and said coming thinking it will be her paralegal.

Vicky entered as Nargis looked up and Vicky knew he had lot of damage control to be done.

Ab mrei yaad ayi.....chalo family mein busy tha...but 5 minutes bhi nahi mely EK, bas EK phane karne ke liye???? Aur yeh gift...apne aap ko ky samaj ta hain.....or rather muje kya samaj ta hain.....I am like his fluzies.....jo ek gift dekh ke pighal zaoongi??? No way.....koi chance nahi. I am bhaut ghussa right now......aur yeh meri office hain....I need to calm down and get a grasp on my self and my feelings!!!.....HMMM...Maybe I will act totally aloof....koi reaction hi nahi dikhaoongi.....you know.....Paris...the apartment....kya tha....I don't even remember that anymore....hota hain......baade baade sher mein choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain.....why should I show him that I have pined for him for the last week...worried about how he was feeling, ke kya mood behtar huwa ya nahi?

If he doesn't care...I don't care either....aw helll....I don't care even if he cares......I will act totally nonchalant.....no worries...no fikhr....no fakhaa....

Aao..Mr. VSK.....koi offic eke kaam se aaye ho??/ Haan who contract.....naye company ke saath....woh tayyiar hain....ap yahn wait kijyea.....abhi meri paralegal aa ke apse review kardegi. If you have any questions....I am sure she will gladly note them down. Good bye......and then i will make my exit from my office......and go home and brood again...but not in front of HIM!!!!!

Haan...now that i am in a more sane frame of mind......Abs...thanks for getting me out of the house and the office.....I had a great time shopping...and bonding with you. Bhaut time ke baad accha laga to have some GIRLZ time....i missed it. Sorry apne dil ki baat tumse share nahi ki....didn't want to burden you...you have so much going on now with the wedding and Maan.....who BTW is a super sweet guy...and is so obviously in live with you!!! Wish you lifelong happiness with him!!!❤️
