Article- Sasha to create trouble in Geet's life

For Geet (Drishti Dhami) times are going to be tougher as she will come across a new character Sasha (Kanika Maheshwari) on the show Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi. Sasha is Maan's most trusted employee and he follows her advice blindly. What he is unaware of is Sasha's feelings for him. For Sasha, Maan is her prince charming but what will happen if Geet and Maan have to get close. How will Sasha react to this?

Kanika in conversation on her character Sasha and the show Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi.

Tell us about your character Sasha on the show.

Sasha is an architect by profession and looks after Maan's business affairs. Everybody is scared of me at my work-place and I throw my weight around. She feels for Maan who she fondly calls MK and thinks that he is the one for her. She is going to insult Geet for her looks and dressing style.

Tell us abut your entry.
I think my director has done a wonderful job as far as my entry is concerned. I expect my viewers who have appreciated my work so far to love this character too.

The character has grey shades and you have been essaying negative characters. How different is Sasha from other characters that you have essayed so far?
I can't say this is different from other characters which I have done before. This is quite similar to the one I played in my show Viraasat, in which my character was of a spoiled teenager.

You played sister to Chetan Hansraj whose character was named Sasha on Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Are you reminded of those days?
Oh yes! I can't forget those days. When they told me that the character will be called Sasha, I was immediately reminded of Chetan Hansraj. I still miss my Kahaani days. I hope and pray that people remember me as the new Sasha.

From playing the royal character of Rajkumari Bhoomi to sauve and sophisticated Sasha in Geet, what do you think of the variation?
The two are completely different as far as look is concerned. I think I am more like Rajkumari Bhoomi and the character was close to my heart. I am a pampered child of my family and all my friends and relatives call me princess.

How does your character relate to Maan?
She is someone who looks after Maan's business. She is someone whom Maan trusts completely, appreciates her judgment and looks up to for advice. Maan is not aware of her feelings for him. He respects her for her business acumen.

Tell us about your look on Geet?
I have a very executive look on the show. My look is rich and the make-up is subtle. I wear nice and expensive clothes on the show!

What do you have to say about Geet and Maan?
Well, if they have to come together on the show then you can't expect Sasha to take it lightly. She is going to make Geet's life a living hell if she tries to take Maan away from Sasha.

Seems like a lot of trouble awaits Geet. Sasha doesn't want to reveal how her character will evolve on the show but she signs off as "All I can say is wait and watch as I am here!"

Geet has reached Delhi in search of a job, with the help of her childhood friend Pinky, who works in Maan's office. Sasha, who works in Maan's office, works hard to impress him, but Maan seems uninterested. What will happen if Geet and Maan get close?
