I have shifted my allegiance now. I am not in love with SaGa any more. I have fallen in love with whoever damn wrote today's episode- whether it be one CV or an entire bunch of them 😆! What fantabulous writing! Ofcourse the direction and acting executed the plan to perfection. But the landscape that the writer/s sketched was so perfect it almost felt like reading fiction- such was the weaving in of detail in terms of emotions, dialogues and even cinematography.
I love the fact that the open loops are being worked on. Sagar's recollection of all his words, his insistences on their lifetime dosti to Ganga's confessions, his words on Jhanvi- very apt. All of us still remember Ganga at the ghats waiting to see her Sagar for the first time in so many years, refusing to open her eyes and how now, the innocence of that romance is temporarily veiled on her part. Sagar sure has a job on his hands- to get that lovely blush back on her cheeks 😳
For the loops being closed, the payal scene was an excellent start. I was hoping and wishing that she'd refuse to accept it and went wow when it turned out so- that girl sure is not ready for it. When Sagar does adorn it on her next, her heart would be willing him on in anticipation 😳 Hoping for a lot more backwards and forwards in time- really reinforces the relationship and this is something we've longed to see- Sagar remembering the past and not just saying he does.
It is great that Pulkit's got a track of his own now which adds value to his character's evolution besides just tailing the rest of the family. His response is quite understood- his strained relationship with his father has closed him to seeking external advice. So he's just leaped at the first sign of assistance. Supriya's reaction is equally binding for them.
The night scene in Ammaji's presence was classic- glorious and humourous and romantic all together at the same time, arousing giggles.
It's good that Sagar's being prompted to think and reminisce. In Ganga's place, it is only natural that she would have concerns for this sudden change in Sagar. In fact my possessive side would surely question his equations with Jhanvi until he explicitly makes it clear to me that she was nothing but an acquaintance come to think of it. That girl needs reassurance and Sagar's already working on it. In soap terms, a week of reassurance might be enough 😆
Ofcourse, Prabhamami continues to be the recipient of much audience love for obvious reasons. Hugs, mami 😆
A word for the background score in entirety throughout- simply excellent and it's been critical in building the moods 👏 and polishes up the episode to perfection. Needless to say the editors have been doing a fantastic job- it's not easy with a show like Ganga where the narration is not simply linear, plus there are perspectives. So it's such beautiful team work coming in.
I also have to compliment the director for ensuring that when there are scenes where just Sagar and Ganga are involved, even when the camera is to one of their backs, I am sure the director/actor ensures that both actors look at each other and not at the floor! It often happens that in such scenes when the side/back profile of one of the actors is in front of the camera, he/she takes the liberty to not connect with the opposite actor assuming the audience doesn't notice such details. But on Gangaa, it's been a surprising change to note that the actors are feeding off each other in improving the reactions/ performances. So 👏 to the actors and director for the perfectionism.
Can't wait for the next episode! The writers are charting fairly unknown waters with this show, so anticipating doesn't help at all- it's pure unwarranted pleasure as each episode unfolds 😳
