i loved it! hrithik and ash's characters before and after they met was portrayed fantastically though i think hrithik was much more part of the movie than ash.
they had such wonderful chemistry, their love story was beautiful!
music wasnt reali a big part of the film bt it didnt matter, the jodhaa-akbar scenes were so lovely!
the whole history element was good too bt i doubt this is what realy happened. i didnt expect it to be a completely accurate factual film so im not disappointed or reali concerned about the whole 'this isnt right' side of things.

another thing hrithik was HOT espeshili his bare chest sword trying to impress ash scene.

I agree with you here. Who really knows what the truth is/was.

I saw it with the perception that "what if this was true" ........

The movie is like you said truly magical then!

@ Nupur9

absolutely its jst so much better thinkin 'wow this is so nyc if its true' and that it cud happen in the real world, instead of arguing that it didnt happen!
we shud appreciate that something so lovely has cum out of or adapted into a key historical tym. 😊

Just in short, I would like to say that the movie is a super-hit. I never liked Aish and ritik that much, but after this movie i am fida on them. Great songs, Amazing picturization and all the scenes..........I just loved it. I am going again to the theater to watch this movie.

at last and not the least, khwaja mere khwaja song is the best song i have heard in long long time. It just touched my heart. Great job Rehman.

Jodha Akbar "Kodha pahad neekla chuha"

Well obviously You guys know I am not gonna give it a good review. The reasons

  • Very Very long movie🤢
  • Waited for 3 and half hours no story ? 😕
  • I love hrithik but he looked hilarious with that pagdi or topi 😆
  • Aish looked ravishing in the promos, but looks old in most of the scenes😳
  • My main problem was : Why did jodha fall in love with akbar and vice versa
  • Akbar had one glance of jodha to walk around like a jinxed moron 😕 that is love ........... doesnot make sense
  • Jodha drooled over half naked Akbar and that is love 😕,
  • What could have been a very sensitive and sensible love story turned out to be a movie of no story lot of cut and paste of history text book and done 😕
  • I think there was not even one moment in the movie that i was involved with it.....(not even for my hrithik 😭)
  • The ending dialogues angered me, " Why jodha akbar love story is not ethihasic or historic", well isnt it obvious, dude had 7 or more wifes other than jodha, she was his 3rd wife ( i guess) so he had no time to make history he was busy marrying ppl around 😕......

Anyways Just my 2 cents the movie was Utter dissappointment, No offence meant

Regards

Basu

indeed a brilliant piece of cinema. very rarely u come across such aesthetics and such portrayal of romance. the chemistry between H and A was rocking. some scenes, like the sword scene, the final wedding-consumeration scene, the calligraphy scene, the night at her Mayka when they sleep behind the parda, Jodha's eyes on akbars bare body ... the feeling of longing in her eyes ... the subtle yet fiery eye-locking sessions, everything was brilliant. H and A have given the finest performances of their career.

The sets were brilliant, the costumes were breath taking, the jewelery was unbelievable and the direction was PERFECT.

Though the initial promos gave me a weak impression of hrithik as Akbar, but after seeing the movie i am completely convinced and believe no one could have done it better. his anger, his ghussa at times, and his royal elegance was a masterpiece very few people can bring.

the only drawback was the length of the movie. i think they could have cut it down a bit. some scenes were long enough to bore you.

All said, i would give this movie a 4.5/5 and recommend every movie lover to watch it. It is a visual treat which brings with it a sense of serenity and a feeling of true romance.

Go Watch It !!!!!!!

Very Very long movie🤢 When was history short.....😆 Waited for 3 and half hours no story ? 😕 Guess it's your turn to crack the joke...... I love hrithik but he looked hilarious with that pagdi or topi 😆 Without it...and then you would complain it was not authentic enough!! Aish looked ravishing in the promos, but looks old in most of the scenes😳 Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder....for almost everyone else she has looked the best ever! My main problem was : Why did jodha fall in love with akbar and vice versa My answer is why not??? They were married. He was a greek god atleast in the movie, she the most ravishing woman. She had all the Aan-Baan-Shaan of a Rajput princess for the icing. He was the "the" king of Hindustan. And he had shown enough respect and longing for Jodha...... In short had all the masala of great romance!!! Akbar had one glance of jodha to walk around like a jinxed moron 😕 that is love ........... doesnot make sense One glance.....dear there were many more glances.
  • But more importantly, he also got to see her strength of character, when she asked that her religion be respected and not asked to be converted.

Jodha drooled over half naked Akbar and that is love 😕,

yeah when the half naked man is greek like adonis...why not!!!

What could have been a very sensitive and sensible love story turned out to be a movie of no story lot of cut and paste of history text book and done 😕 Well again a perception. This is a historical movie. Which shows romance of Mughal Prince and Rajput Princess. The premise is based on facts. The execution is the director's beautiful imagination, so where is the scope for copy pasting....??? The ending dialogues angered me, " Why jodha akbar love story is not ethihasic or historic", well isnt it obvious, dude had 7 or more wifes other than jodha, she was his 3rd wife ( i guess) so he had no time to make history he was busy marrying ppl around 😕...... Well if you have enough knowledge about Mughal history, you wouldn't be saying that. Every Mughal Prince had more than 10 wives, but they all had their favorites. Noor Jahan was Jehangir's fav. btw he had more than 20 wives. Mumtaz was Shenshah's fav. Their love resulted in Taj-Mahal!!
  • Jodha was Akbar's fav. Their love story resulted in Akbar's secular thought process.

First and foremost FULL Marks for the famous Hrithik Ash chemistry and magic, truly the lead jodi of Bollywood.

My fav scenes are
Best scene - The picurization of Azeem o Shehenshah - leaves you in raptures. Also Khwaja mere Kwaja
second best - The swordfight - a real brainwave on the director's part
Most touching - the arti/sindoor scene
Most romantic - The subtlety and suggestiveness in In lamhon. But I felt the scene would have had had greater impact if the MD had used orchestral music or chorus, not the actual song here
Funniest - Jodha peeping during the sword practice!

Last but not least, whatever ppl think of Ash's acting abilities, she is BEAUTIFUL!!!The very best.

what I didn't like

Hrithik's topi - I know it was needed for the authentic touch, but it should have been used less often. It somehow detracted from Hrithik's good looks.

Also too much political mumbojumbo at various parts. They could have substitutd the political riddles with a few more romantic interludes, and I for one would not have complained! What say you?
