If there is someone in Bollywood who could play a princess, its Aishwarya...and if there is someone there who could play a prince it is Hrithik ...

So Ashutosh, the director , had already won half the battle when he cast this awesome twosome as Jodha and Akbar. Aishwarya looks like a dream, something like she has never looked before: simple, pure and a princess in every sense of the word. Before I went to watch the movie my only concern was whether Aish and Hrithik would be able to shake off their DII image and get under the skin of these characters from the 16th century but right from the moment they appeared on screen my doubts disappeared. However the chemistry between the two continues from where they left off in DII. Watch out for the scene where they finally confess their love for each other...awesome !

Another high point for me is the picturization of the song "Khwaja"... it is my favourite song form the album and probably the best filmed song I have seen in a long-long time.👏

The producers have spent generously and the opulence adds to the charm of the film. The battle sequences are brilliant. For me the scene where Hrithik fights the elephant is a bit over the top as he looks more like " Krishh" rather than Akbar and you almost wait for Matrix like special effects to happen.😳

The length of the film is a negative which may work against the film- particularly the pre-interval half an hour makes you a little restless.

Talking of other actors like Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Sonu Sood etc have really done well in their roles. A special mention for Ila Arun who shines in her small but powerful role. Poonam Sinha looks graceful and is adequate too.

Overall a great experience...so go and take this ride to the past and be transported to an era of romance, chivalry, betrayal and passion!

My rating: 4/5👍🏼

beyoootifulll movie. .i think i dont have complains ab the length either . wudnt have minded if it went on forever. the chemistry between hrithik and ash is sooo real so romantic that it gave me goosebumps . the performances were outstanding but hrithik left me spellbound . im almost convinced hes royalty.the track jashn bahar or somethin like that is still playing in my head.

i didnt have any particular liking for either hrithik and especially not for ash be4 this . although i did like them in few movies like dhoom 2 and ash in guru and choker bali . but i must admit iv turned into a fan overnight. what a jodi !!!

😃 i know this is more like crazy raving than a review . but just know that eacha nd every scene and every performance even by the rest of the cast is equally impressive...

trust me this is one movie nobody shud miss.

Alright I am not good with writing review. But here, my review.

Its a little long but I cannot help it. The film was sooooo terrific. Like the lyrics of Azem-o-shan says: .. Jitna kahein hum utna kam hai 😃

Jodhaa Akbar. A brilliantly directed film. Amazingly picturized film, wonderfully choreographed songs and splendid performances by all. Theres never a dull moment. I just wanted it to go on n on. Ashu has handled all the characters in an extremely intelligent way. Every character in the film leaves a mark.

About Hrithik, all I can say is, I am proud be a Hrithik Roshan fan .. What a terrific performance. I am going to cherish his peformance for a long long time. Due to his pure and sincere performance, u actually fall in the love with Akbar. Haha. He is just THE best!

Some of my fav scenes that I can recollect at the moment:
- Elephant fighting scene. I like the way he sits on the elephant and talks to Jodhaa's father and that sweet smile he gives
- Some funny light moments. Jalaluddin saying Takliya and Jodhaa, Ekaant.. Everyone was laughing in the theatre
- Jalaluddin yells at his so called brother and asks him not to speak nonsense about Jodhaa. I think it was the first time u see that firmness in his voice, as they say in urdu, buland aawaz. Another WOW!
- After the song Man Mohana, Hrithik walks out of Jodhaa's mandir area, flowing curtains blowing with the wind and him walking through them. Amazing!
- Aaaaaaaahhhhh that bare chest sword training session. Ufff! I wont be able to explain
- Jalaluddin asks Jodhaa to go back to her place due to the misunderstanding, then, him coming to know that she wasnt wrong. He goes back to get her. The way he enters Jodhaa's place and starts looking for her. Whole stretched scene, to the night bedroom scene, his way of saying sorry to Jodhaa with that irresistible naughty smile. The sword fight scene in the morning. Him telling Jodhaa that now u urself will come back to me and goes off. Showed the lighter side of Jalaluddin's character.
- Jodhaa writing Jalaluddin Akbar in urdu and him telling her that he cannot read that. Then he takes her to their room. The way he takes her and then desperately waits for the sunset, the sun light falls in, the room lights up. What a scene!!
- All the emotional scenes of Jalaluddin, his helplessness, after killing his brother, coming to know about the truth of badi ammi, after sonu sood's death. And when he confessess that he's been betrayed by all his near and dear ones.

Songs:
-Azem-o-shan: Everytime a new song was being played, I thought alright this ones gonna be the best but finally when Azeem-o-shan came, I was stunned. It might sound funny but I felt like bowing to the Shehensha too ..haha
-Khwaja Mere khwaja: Being a huge sufi fan, I was desperattely waiting for the song. Rahman's vioce is pure magic. The ending of Khwaja Mere Khwaja, Hrithik Aha! The way he gets up and performs the Sufi Whirling. My god that was terrific. WOW! Wonder how they thought of such a scene. I was totally mesmerized.
-Jashn-bahaaraa: After watching it so many times on TV, I kinda didnt find it any amuzing. I liked the slow version.
-Man Moshan: Ahhhh haha. Hrithik sitting in his darbar and suddenly Jodhaa starts singing and he follows the voice. The first time he actually develops lovely feelings for Jodhaa.
-Inn Lamho ke: DO I have to say how well the song was shot?

Performances:
-Ash: After watching Guru, I actaully started liking her. She is toooo good in the film. She blended with role so much.
-Ila Arun: Her eyes.. woah! She truly seemed to be such a strong lady.
-Sonu Sood: Wonder why he didnt get good roles after Yuva. Such a beautiful relationship he shared with Jodhaa. Decent performance by him.
-The guy who played Sharifuddin was good too.
-Okay, whats best about Ashu is that he gets fresh new not much known ppl in the supporting cast everytime and they allll give such brilliant performances. Hats off to all of them.

Hrithik Ash Chemistry. They look awesomely beautiful together. Like Ahsu mentioned in an interview somewhere, they both look like the reincarnation of Jodhaa and Akbar. They were meant to play Jodhaa - Akbar.

Oh I didnt know it had 2 intervals. They shouldnt have done that. It kinda breaks the link. It adds onto the length.

A must must must WATCH!! Jodhaa Akbar nahi dekha toh kya dekha

My rating: 4.5/5 👏

Hey even I loved the picturzation of khwaja. Esp the last part where Hrithik gets up and does the sufi whirling. I think it was shot brilliantly. Ppl found it funny the way Akbar gets up and starts dancing. But it wasnt dancing. It really appeared at that time that he connected with a supreme power. The way they flashed his face, it seemed awesome.

Ok so I too saw the film and I usually dont write my comments here unless I genuinely like a movie 😉

And Jodha Akbar is one such movie
Its hard to forget what I saw and those scenes are just flashing in my mind again and again...

Inspite of being a long movie..There was not a dull moment...The narrative was superb...

Ash looked her best..She was stunning and her costume and jewellery did the rest...

The chemistry between Ash and Hrithik was such that it left viewers asking for more

They both excelled in the sword fights...

Some real subtle romantic moments between the two which just leaves u mesmerized and asking for more

The highlights

1) The superbly picturized war scenes...

2) Ash entering the ''shahi bawarchi khana'' and then scene b/w her and Ila Arun...And then when she finally tastes the food and serves it to Hrithik

3) The sword fight b/w Hrithik and Ash

4) The scene where Hrithik comes to her room to find it haunted when she leaves the palace

5) The picturisation of ''Khwaja''...

6) The scene where Ash refuses to talk to Hrithik when he comes to get her along with him...

This movie is worth watching...

Mughals in all their splendour. wow the movie is CUTE. Its not boring and the 3+ hours dont make the movie seem long at all.Historcals are normally are a pain to watch as the love story is in the background. Hrithik here winning Ash's heart is the main premise and historical story is the background. Very refreshing and not a dull moment.

After their forced arranged marriage, Hrithik and Ash growing to love each other gives us so many heavenly scenes. Ofcourse satellite TV & boldness has made viewers shed their awkwardness, aesthetically shot intimate scenes are so welcome to our souls still. I say Hrithik & Ash are not Jodha & Akbar because God, their personas leap out of their characters. Just like, Shahrukhness leapt out in Asoka. Even when Hrithik & Ash stand in the same frame you can feel their chemistry. Dunno why the media harped of a certain cold war between them during the shooting.

The sequences which stand out are :
1) Ash & Hrithik sword fighting with each other. Aaaah!. Just when we think Ash will let go, she fights so well so continuous that he almost loses to her. Also there is a scene where Hrithik practices Sword fighting alone and he kills all of us with his "What's Hollywood in front of me" performance.
2)Hrithik bring a mad elephant under control. Too Good.

Hrithik's mom Poonam Sinha is so beautiful that she looks like an aged Preiti Zinta.

See the movie for Hrithik the ultimate greek god who woos all of us and Ash too. All the movies in future should only pair Hrithik & Ash.
