Today, I have gone to see Taare zameen par. And believe me it is undoubtly the best movie of 2007, perhaps the best of this decade. To come with such a touching, entertaining and sweet story is an ardous task and aamir khan handles that also well. He deserves cent percent marks for coming up with such a terrific film. Now I know why people call him a perfectionist.

Talking about story, its about a dyslexic child and all…you all might be knowing. I know didn't know that the story will be so mersmerizing. Each and every scene has a solid impression on you. No words to appreciate this wonderful film. The story is so real, simple and easy to digest and makes a hard-hitting statement. Every one can easily relate to the film, be it parents or children. Every moment speaks a thousand words. It can make the stone-hearted cry. It's a must must watch for everyone.

There are innumerable scenes which are excellent and brilliantly executed. Few of them which deserves a great applause are:-

The sequences between the mother and ishaan( the child artist, darshan javeri) The fight between ishaan and the the child playing cricket on the street and the scolding that he gives to the child. When the parents leave the child in the boarding school and the 'maa' song that follows The classroom sequence when the art teacher scolds him. Introduction of aamir, the bum bole song. Title track, the sequence where aamir feeds a child labour All classroom interactions between aamir and the class. Aamir realizing ishaan's problem and going to his home. The father realizing his fault after taling to ishaan. The aamir's request to principal to give ishaan another chance. Aamir helping ishaan improving his vocabulary, writing etc. The finale ( extremely well written..A big big thumbs up..exceptional execution..
  • And the list continues……….A complete flawless film.No unrequired scenes and dialogues.

Coming the music. Its exteremely ear-pleasing and in the sync of the mood of the film. Its not like Goal where a mujra is inserted inspite of being a sports film. 'Maa' song is truly a tear jerker..Title track extremelyu well picturised and greatly sung by shankar himself. Bum bole is fun watching..whbile other songs are also well picturised and properly inserted. For me..'Kholo-kholo' is the best of the lot which arrives in the climax.truly the best.. Background score is amazing..Sweet, good and honest compositions….

Everyone has acted as real as anything. Every scene looks extremely real, greatly enacted and well penned dialogues. Aamir has taken although, not so famous ones but have taken out gold from them…They have enacted it with as much florish as an 'A' grade actor would have..or even better than that. The real hero..Ishaan aka Darshan Javeri. is extremely likable…Aamir khan..great and brilliant actor as well as director..Simply outstanding and brilliant..No words to describe him..Simply magnamious…

The other actors are also truly adorable and deserves a standing ovation…Tisca chopra as ishaan's mother, actor playing ishaan's father, the two teachers, ishaan's handicapped friend, his elder brother (Tanay.. I think so..) all have acted supremely..They all are supremely talented. Difficult to judge who is better.. Cinematography, special effects all are topnotch..Completely flawless…

Taar zameen is an outstanding and great work of cinema..The best movie to be churned out this year..(according to me..0 It has become my all-time favourites..It left me spellbound..Its extremely likable, mainly for parents and sensitive people..The regular cheap crowd wooing over masal films and heroines may not like this brilliant film and will get bored by it..it is given thumbs up and terrific reviews from all mainstream critics and that's truly appreciable. I liked the movie a lot…..Cant express my feelings yaar.

I strongly strongly recommend this to all of u..Go, watch this and understand the realities of life…

Exceptional, Brilliant, Outstanding, Marvellous, Great, magnamious…adjectives are very small in numbers to describe this wonderful film.. 👏

My rating: 4.5 / 5

What a masterpiece!! 👏 Aamir and team have done a splendid job! I was bawling my eyes out.. sometimes in sheer sorrow of the protagonist's pain and then in mere joy of how his life changes once Aamir comes along. We definitely need to value our teachers more and should definitely help them as a community to have resources, space and time around them so that they can actually "teach" children and guide them where others come short of it. On the same token, I would highly recommend teachers or those who aspire to take up this profession in future to watch this movie and realize that the true sentiments and needs of every child may vary, but in the end, they all want love, care and attention from the adults.. Is that too hard to give? I think not 😛..

Cheers,
Sana~ 😳

your point is good..we have to go and watch this remarkable genius of a film witha clean slate of mind...not with any preconcieved notions or thoughts....people told me carry tissues as it's a tear jerker..it was very emotional but because i already knew it i felt conscious when tears were rolling down my eyes...we have to acknowledge the fact that the movie hits you across as being so ral that each cinegoer can relate to the film's proceedings at one point or the other.....we love you aamir, darsheel, tisca, yohan, rohan, and all who made this film.👏👏

Children require guidance and sympathy far more than instruction.
-Annie Sullivan.....

Children need to be treated with the respect that they deserve and not like race horses...Well, this is what I concluded after watching the brilliant and exceptional 'Taare Zameen Par"...That's what a well made cinema does, it wont preach you and ask you what to think and infer- instead, it will help you draw your own conclusions and let you have the satisfaction of discovering something out for yourself!

Taare Zameen par- well, what can I say now..I am still reeling under the spell myself...Its beyond any adjectives- its just ' go and watch it yourself' kind of a movie...a movie which has a great after taste..People were clapping, some were crying (I was simply bawling at every single scene almost,)btw whoever said guys don't cry 😉😆, we were all spell bound and absolutely taken aback by the sheer simplicity and the brilliance of the movie...That the movie was perfect to the last detail was a no information already, considering its an Aamir Khan movie, but the guy took me by surprise and grabbed my immediate attention when he put Darsheel's name before his in the credits...👏.

Make no mistake- its not a movie for children or about 'special' children...Its a movie for the current and to-be parents...Its a stunning depiction of how the present world is stealing away the kids of their right to be kids...Its a movie that will make you think, will perhaps help you make some decisions and hopefully will improve your relationship with your kids...

Every scene is a master piece by itself, but I can never forget the song and the visual treat while the end credits were rolling in...👏

Music was tremendous and just flowed in with the story and hence made so much sense and almost every song stole my heart👏👏👏...However, 'meri maa' and the title song are going to haunt me for long...

Amol Gupte deserves a standing ovation for coming up with such a concept and doing such extensive research for like 7 years before Aamir even knew about it...Aamir deserves applause for taking it forward and making it a master piece...I especially want to congratulate him for not over indulging and keeping things in perspective and within the premises of the scope of the story all the time...Hence the end product is a non-preachy and yet a cinema with a message!

It's not a kiddy movie, It's a good movie you can watch with your entire family. If you have not seen the movie yet .. Your missing out on one of the best movies ever.
